When we switched bikes @650ib and I rode this bike, it felt similar to my ZX10R. The ZX10R was stock, no ECU flash and stock exhaust. When I say similar I mean the suspension (the RSV4 was slightly firmer) turn in felt the same, sitting position felt the same. The RSV4 RF is a bike most people overlook. I think because there are not a lot of places in the USA that sell the bike. It made a strong effort in World Superbike competition 2015-2017. The maintenance is the only thing I say is a little negative. But if you want an exotic bike, it comes with a premium. This bike has really grown on me. What a nice change from Ducati and BMW.
Holy.......! That sounds incredible! I thought my 2014 honda v4 interceptor sounded awesome with the two bros pipe till I heard this beast:) wow is all I can say, now we need to hear it on the open road at high rpm!
Hi David, i can do a quick video tomorrow for you and ill upload it and add the link to the comments , i also have a custom map for pc5 mapped by austin racing i can forward to you. Very smooth progressive power!
I love the sound of Sport Bikes with the V type motors in them! Theres nothing like that Sporty Rumble, Not a Harley Rumble.. . . A sportbike Rumble! They just sound mean as hell!!
Thumbs up for the Austin Racing GP1R Exhaust and the Aprilia lettering printed across the side of the tank and continued down the fairing! Great look, 650ib!
+650ib Hey! I'm wondering, if the RSV4 RR, used for comparison, was an unsold 2015 model? I'm liking the look of the Grey bodywork and the black wheels. It could be the "Grey ride" for The Gray Rider. Lol! Ride aware, and "Keep on keeping on!"
Man that GP1R exhaust sounds a REAALLL clean very pumped about seeing more videos on the aprilia with that amazing sound its making... sounds so evil.. i love it hahaha.. Keep it up my dude!
+Undisputed Carl Thanks Carl!! I love the AR exhaust! I forgot to send your cards, I will do it next week. Are you going to MotoGP in Austin, TX? I will be there...
I initially thought SC project would be a no brainer. Italian exhaust on an Italian bike. But just noticed that factory Aprilia WSB is using this same Austin Racing pipe as well as a dude in Moto America. Makes yours real authentic....Great choice IB! :-O
+650ib man i want to see some random smackdowns, just you were cruising and smackdown takes place with some random alien. thats gonna be one hell of a blog
It looks perfect on the bike, the form and colors and materials..all of it matches up to create an outstanding look there, and the sound is of course just perfect for the bike. Well done, please enjoy!
totally fits and suits the bike, colors on the muffler are nearly the same on the fairings, I think it was the perfect choice to go with the Austin Racing pipe, good job +650ib, and sounds perfect !!!
Bruh, I'm diggin' your vids! I've been riding for years and haven't owned a bike since my return from Afghanistan in 2011. I just departed the dealership looking at the RSV4 RF and Ducati 1299 Panigale. Its a flip of the coin at this point. Will sleep on it tonight and go with one or the other tomorrow. I have a test ride in the morning on the Panigale. The one thing I want to make sure of is the heat issue. Its already HOT in Arizona, so I'd have to deal with sitting on top of an oven as well. LOL. At least that's what the dudes are ranting about on the Duc forums. Guess I'll find out tomorrow. Lastly, I'm originally from Ohio as well, but not Cleveland. However my wife is from Brookpark. Keep up the vids and maybe one day we'll get to shake hands.
Thanks man for your devotion and sacrifice for our country. I own a 1199 Panigale R and RF and the Ducati can't compare to the Aprilia!!!! Yes, the Panigale will roast your nut sac and it's very uncomfortable compared to the RF which is the most comfortable sportbike I've ridden. I'd like to meet up one day, I'll be at World Superbike at Laguna Seca in July. Thanks for the compliment and check out my MotoGP video series, you might enjoy it. Get the RF and thank me later.
+650ib you're welcome. I haven't looked at enough of your vids yet, but I'll look for something on your Panigale other than the video when you initially picked it up. I have ALWAYS wanted a Ducati, but never took the plunge. I've read about the Aprilia and finally went to check it out. Thank you for your opinion; greatly appreciated. The Aprillia's are limited here and I know Aprillia is a small company, yet been around for a long time with a winning reputation. I will be honest, its going to be a VERY HARD decision! They (bikes) all have their PRO's/CON's. What I like about the Aprillia is they're rarely seen around here, and I like the fact that it's equipped somewhat like the Pani S verus the Pani. Laguna Seca sounds like it would be cool. Will see what is in store with the family and keep in touch. Thanks again for your opinion and time. I'll let you know........ :-)
It's incredible how much I envy your life haha I'm from Italy and I only own a scooter (in which I kneedrag xD) for parental reason but when I have the opportunity I try the liter bikes and other bikes from my friends... your bike park is just AMAZING and the rsv4 is my all time favourite bike :D
I know a guy who has this bike and had that exhaust on it and he didn't seem to like it. I asked him one day how that design made any back pressure and his response was simple; it doesn't. He's been through a lot of exhausts but right now he has the stock canister back on it, and is saving for an Akrapovic
You've inspired me! Just picked one up just waiting on a couple parts to arrive. Thanks for all your videos! Very informative and like I said...inspiring. Will post a link for a walk-through video to see what you think ;)
The day I picked up my H2 there was a guy picking up an RSV4, he wanted to trade but no deal, everyone was gawking at the H2 sitting there and all the other bikes was just getting ignored, the aprilia sounds good but the chirping from my H2 gives me goosebumps still.
+650ib I'm the guy in the van who stopped and said hello when you were taking a break at the DQ in bolivar. 😉 I grew up in Dellroy. Love the roads around there💙
+650ib I'm a motorhead anything with one fascinates me. I'd be more than welcome to hook you up with my nephew and his friends that ride that area weekly.
Live the videos man. I'm a "new" subscriber to your channel. I just picked up my new RSV4 RF and and need to decide on the Akra or the Austin racing. How are you liking the Austin racing for everyday riding. Too loud? Thanks in advance 👍
+COBRA HELL YES!! I ordered a fender eliminator kit. I'm also installing a light smoked Double Bubble windscreen as soon as it's available from Zero Gravity.
Very nice! The AR looks beautiful on the RF with those graphics. Sound is wicked but I'm going to stay with my SC Project CRT on the RR. My choice for best sound.
Anyone who hasnt heard one of those in person doesnt know what LOUD sounds like! I just wish Aprilia would bring the RR to the UK as we only officially get the RF and im not that rich. :)
The detail on these bikes are insane. Just look at the bolt on the exhaust bracket. And those foot rest plates could pass as an abstract art piece. Italians sure know how to add sexy to simple. Btw, V4 and Crossplane are just pure sound porn :D
That sound is sick!!!!! When got mine I truly believed that AR gp1r sounded even better than my termi on the R....... Really regret selling the R. You know what I'm talking about, the way that R makes you feel, oh man, nothing comes close!!!!! But RF is up there as well. Did you get ur smart phone hooked up to the bike yet, it's sick!!!!!! Your entire bike is on your phone :) good luck, stay safe!!!!
+650ib hey, just got my AR gp1r exhaust. Went with all titanium. Don't wanna upset u, but u know Aprilia just came out with a regular 16 RF. Not #ed, no carbon, some cosmetic accents, but overall same bike. Urs and mine r #ed, I'm 128/200. But it's not right!!!!!! They claimed it was gonna b only 200 in the US........... Ur thoughts?
+thaets1 That kinda sucks but motorcycle companies do these things all the time. The worst that happened to me was BMW putting everything the HP4 has and MORE on the S1000RR for LESS Money! That upset me more than this. Lol.
Iv'e got 1100 Factory done 5500 miles and love it, bought an Austin Racing Exhaust and it was fab but too loud to use everyday, OK for the odd blast but if doing loads of miles a bit much to use daily Great Video by the way
The bike and new exhaust look awesome man! I have to say though, why is it that we as a motorcycling community think that loud = good? These gp exhausts look cool but they are a bit of a joke as far as muffling is concerned. I havent heard any in person but from the vids I've seen the volume and looks is about all they have to offer.
hey ib ! it looks like the rearset is awfully close to the pipe .. has your heel touched the pipe at all ? I would assume it wouldn't but it just looks like your heel could touch it
Sounds great, I find one of the best sweet spots for sound on this bike is small to mid blips. (Of course it sounds amazing flat out too hehe) That zone in the rev's seems to give the most of the deep throaty small block muscle car sound. I am torn between an Austin Racing or SC Project exhaust when I get my Tuono 1100 Factory. So far SC Project exhausts have been my go to on previous bikes. I really like how the AR looks on these bikes in particular though.
Good evening everyone, I have questions can someone help me please? I am cur up between the 2016 rsv4 rf vs. The 2017 s1000rr witch is a better bike to purchase? Thank you any information would help. Stay blessed.
Very nice :) Bro I want to buy a superbike and my choices are BMW S1000RR, Yamaha R1M or Honda 1000 RR I want it for daily use and weekend rides which one would you recommend ? besides the AGV Pista helmet which other helmet is good? are there any tips to recognize fake riding gears
Evening bro :) thanks for the suggestion Honda RC210V not available in India and which Arai Helmet and model number ? and thank very very much for the help :)
Hi Ib. Was there a code provided for your ecu, have to race flash, or just slap on the pipe? I ask because of the 2016 software is different from the 09 to 15 and yet i hear (dealer) claims that you need a ecu flash even for a slip on.
