Aprilia made a smashing entry in the Indian market with the SR 150, it was unlike any other scooter on sale and youngsters were enthralled! However, it was long overdue an update given the arrival of new rivals and the Italian scooter has finally received one. The updates on the 2021 Aprilia SR 160 are mostly focussed on the cosmetic and features end. The styling of the 160cc is refreshed and it now features an LED headlight, DRLs and an X-shaped tail light. On the features end, the ApriliaSR 160 receives an all-digital instrument console, USB charger and underseat light.
The 2021 SR 160 is priced in India at Rs 1,17,494, which is an increase of Rs 11,494 more compared to its predecessor. The Aprilia SR 160 is offered in three variants - standard, carbon and Race. Yes yes, we know OLX hi dete hai aapka gaadi ka best price. Just last month, I decided to shift my car from one state to another and go through the hassles of visiting RTO, lawyers, banks, etc instead of accepting OLX's "best price". 😂

Well, I've booked the Aerox 155. I've used Aprillia SR 150 for a few years, now expecting a better experience from the Yamaha Aerox.

Never go with Yamaha, it is worst in built quality. Most of spare parts are plastic and gets broken easily. I have changed doom, body parts 4th time in 5 years 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Add 17k to Aerox and equip it with nitrox rear suspension which Yamaha has as an accessory and it will become object of desire. Aprillia will be out of competition.

@@avijitgoswami3082 Yamaha offers advanced suspension setup which they call nitrox suspension to replace the existing one which will be more comfortable. For this, you have to pay 17k extra if you want to fit it in this scooter.

Everyone Doing 160 reviews, whereas sr125 is in demand for review,focus is mre on sr125 due to its mileage...reviewers please consider this and do sr125 review ..

Exactly, it's only one hp lower in power but there is considerable difference in price and fuel economy, I bought it three months back, before the current price hike due to digital meter and LED light.

Unless the fuel filller is located in frint like Jupiter 125 or Aerox...there is no true Ergonomic benefit in having a fuel filler which is located above the tail lamp, in my personal opinion, it is equally cumbersome...it is not a car where the guy at petrol pump will open and shut the fuel filler for you without you getting off th seat.

Overpriced, less fuel economy even dominor enfied return better fuel economy. No performance. Better option is Yamaha Aerox most VFM

The better and cheaper alternative is the Ntorq race xp. Almost identical power and torque. And much MUCH more value for money and it provides better comfy suspension set up.

what about braking & handling of ntorq? is it better than aprilia? i dnt thnk soo... it is cheaper and comfortble thats it...bdw ntorq is cheaper bt by how much for xp edition?

@@Aayansharma7895 bro you need those traits on a track. And 99.9% of the customers that buy this in India will probably use it only for day to day commutes. So yeah considering those facts, I do think that Aprilia is overpriced and underpowered. Edited - oh and also, I think that Aprilia makes one of the world's best motorcycles, but its so unfair how their scooters do not deliver the same performance in their segment compared to their motorcycle division. I think the sr 160, sxr 160 and the sr 125 is just trying to piggy back it's way to sales on the Aprilia name.

@@Aayansharma7895 Aprilia sr 160 ex showroom is 1.26 lakh and with the on road price add about 9 to 10 thousand with all the paper work included , ntorq ex showroom is about 85 thousand. And goes up till 94 thousand. There you go bro. So you save about 32 thousand.

Conclusion :- It's still a fun to ride scooter yes Aerox might have better top end performance but still in cornering that SR is way ahead of many scooters and even better go for SXR 160 it's better than both of them yes you will not get the Fun of these two scooters but much better braking.

Already have a sxr 160 and aerox 155. Straight up let me tell you Aerox is purely a "for shauk type" scooter. no footboard butamazing performance.Very different riding dynamic much more sure footed while sxr 160 feels more flickable. Havent riden the aerox a lot sice its new but Aerox just looks class apart just sitting side by side.

If anyone has ladies or senior citizen as pillon needing floorboard to carry grocery bag sr160 is better option as aerox pillion seat is not comfortable also risky for not having proper grab rail.. those who ride solo aerox 155 are better option... yahmah can work on aerox in future to make it product made for Indian instead of paratrooping south east asian product..I think Moto scooter now have some niche in Indian market.. product need to be priced proper like aerox to make it successful..

Don't buy this aprilia scooter if you stays in vasai virar nallasopara naigoan and palghar area because their is no service centre for this aprilia brands scooter in this areas you will have to go to miraroad or goregaon for servicing of your scooter which is very very far
