Got to rip this awesome 2015 Aprilia Tuono V4 R and of course had to pop a few wheelies! ;) SALT DECALS HERE: saltxthexwound.bigcartel.com/ INSTAGRAM: Instagram @SALTxTHExWOUND
Not this model Tuono. This is the 1000cc, its been replaced by the 1100. The 1000cc is cheap. You'll struggle to get any other bike with a quickshifter, traction control, wheelie control, abs, rear lift control and almost 170bhp for near this price. They basically took the RSV4, gave it upright bars, shorter gearing, and a couple other mods to make it better for roads(and definitely not as good for track. But still capable). I'm amazed that more people in the US don't know about these bikes, but I guess its because there aren't many Aprilia dealers there. Check out any supernaked shootout on RU-vid from 2011 onwards. Only the 1290r and MT10 comes even close. The MT/FZ-09 isn't in the same class. The MT10 is the direct competitor from Yamaha. I started riding in 2000 and this is the 1st bike I've bought that hasn't been a supersport/superbike. Next time you get to ride it, nail some full throttle upshifts on the quickshifter! 🤘🏽
Tuono kept there good sound from the older version that was a v2 pretty much the reason for muscle car sound as u can hear from a harley but i would say the italian v2 and v4 just got alot tougher and growly sound, Riding a Tuono 2006 that got the v2 myself and loving every minute riding it
V4 sounds completely different from a V Twin and especially a Harley. What gives this bike the great sound is that it's a Crossplane 4 cylinder just like the new R1.
💥💥 you the man brother! I’m jealous of the riding weather you all have. One day it’s 65 here the next 38. Tennessee has bipolar weather lol. The DRAGON opened yesterday so I’m sure we be going there quite often lol
PUNISHER865 nice! We probably won’t be up there til the fall, got a lot going on with planning the wedding and what not but I’ll give ya a heads up before we come 👍🏻
SALTxTHExWOUND Sounds good brother. It will give leslie time to get better at riding. But I plan to take a Saturday and Sunday off to ride with you all if that’s cool. If not just say hell no lol.
I like how you're like glad my friends trust me riding their bike......bruh.... You're Salt the wound!!!! I'm moving to Florida and if I ever see you I'm straight up handing you the keys to my bike. Like please wheelie my R1! And sign the tank lol
I'm on my second one! 16 and newer are 1100's and all around better bikes but I also absolutely loved my 1000 also. In just over a year I've put 11k miles on my 17 Tuono, just can't get enough of it.
SALT: I like to take it easy and don’t push someone else’s bike. (Wheelies it for a 1/4 mile) SALT: It’s really nice that friends let me ride their bikes. (Winds it up good twice. Minimum 3 wheelie attempts) Hello? You’re SALT. Anything less would be a disappointment! Lmbo! Be safe CD. ☮️
@@SALTxTHExWOUND this model (2014 I'm guessing by the colour) is quite a bit cheaper than the equivalent superbike of the same year. And about the same as the other top 3 supernakeds. Of the newer model you have the 1100rr or the 1100 Factory to choose from and there's a big price difference.
@Casey R. Theres a bit more difference in price here in the UK. (the RR works out at roughly $4000 cheaper in 💵 ) Tbh, as I'm starting to do more trackdays, even the ohlins that comes on the factory could be improved to the TTX GP instead of the TTX 36. The tail, I'd get from AF1 or ebay. I think RR is the better deal. It'll take the 200 rear anyway, so it doesn't seem worthwhile getting the factory. Especially as most will use it on the road. I've got the 1000cc V4R. When change it, I'll get the RR for sure.
It's the right tool for the job. Better cam profiles for street use, better ergos, larger fuel tanks, etc. MUCH harder to exploit supebikes on public roads. Gixx1k, R1, Fireblade, etc, in my opinion are total wastes of race technology when used on the street. 1290 Superduke, MT-10, Tuono 1100, S1000R are MUCH more capable for many more things AND to me, are way more fun! :-)
@@SALTxTHExWOUND Word man ✊. Idk if you've taken the Gixxer to the track, but if not, definitely give it a shot. No racing necessary; just LOTS of fun learning about how a race machine feels in its natural habitat. TOTALLY accerelated my learning. I've ridden the Gixxer6 and the Ninja 636 on track only. Bro, they don't even feel the same as they do on the street. NO wrist or back pain. Lol!! Just staying in the tuck, with LOTS of leaning and learning. Fortunately, I've got a decent amount of tracks nearby here in south Texas. Circuit of the Americas being the closest 👍😲🤩😎!!! Peace and safe riding my man ✌️.
Not sure if that year has one but they have a blipper on them so you don't have let off the throttle and the fuel tank isn't very big.. 100 miles on full tank if ya carful. I just to have a aprllia tourno 125 2 stroke back in the day basically its the same as the rs version but naked..
I currently own a aprilia shiver 750 and in maybe a year or 2 i would like to get a tuono but they are so damn expensive the shiver is more like a baby brother of the tuono but its till fast enough for me around 95 hp 😉
@@SALTxTHExWOUND i think that it is pretty rare in the us it never realy became the sucses that aprilia wanted it to be it was beaten by the street triple and that was mostly to blame on bad suspension but now a days thats an easy fix but its stil a very underrated bike in my opinion but the looks still hold up today 😎
The Shiver isn't similar to the Tuono really. Completely different type of bike. Different type of frame, V2 engine instead of a V4. I had one for a while. The Shiver is maybe even the more sensible daily bike.
@@FreDCBelgium A supersport will outdo most nakeds, but a Tuano is an RSV4 with motocross bars. That's 180 hp at the rear wheel. The Tuano would kick the shit out of a supersport in the canyons, and not far away on the track: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ttqK-u03eGs.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NQcaYhev9Ks.html
