I guess the most notable achievement for Aptera to me is the increase in reservations and continued support of their efforts. Let's hope we see production by the end of '23.

Thank you for the EXCELLENT summary. It's good to be reminded of how far they've come when I get a bit depressed over how far they have yet to go. Although all of them are important, I think the most significant achievement is the partnership with C.P.C. in Modena, Italy (it's pronounced MOH-day-na; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i71ioMKnt1o.html). Still hoping for end-of-2023 production and anxiously awaiting the Delta full design reveal. If it's really going to be "by the end of the year," they don't have much time left!

Thank you, Tom. I'm glad that you found the summary helpful and thanks for that link! The partnership with C.P.C. definitely seems like a significant achievement and a good move to have a sturdy and more eco-friendly body. Only a couple of days left in the year, come on Delta!

I have just tested my comment on another login and it is not blocked, so I will continue with evaluating this significant progress. Will Kaz have the integrity to show them all? That interface has been said to have almost nothing done to it, and that it is a low priority that will be done near the very last task. There were supposed to be about 50 AGVs delivered mid last November - didn't happen. Yazaki has not supplied anything yet. Money spent with no supplies is not progress. People got hoodwinked at the Electrify America expo by a fake Alpha. They know how to con.
@aussieideasman8498
@aussieideasman8498 Год назад
Acceleration: Does anyone really know what the quarter mile time is? Turning radius: So, what is it? Braking: What's the 60-0 time? Suspension: Gamma is still rough - just observe Quince's chest as she rides down a smooth road. Steering: Watch Chris rotate that yoke - it's excessive. And is there rally torque vectoring?
@aussieideasman8498
@aussieideasman8498 Год назад
More on the progress: So, how many EVE batteries are stockpiled to make the packs? My best guess is none. Gamma also hoodwinked everyone. Since then, it has not proven to be any less fake than the Alpha's. How many Maxeon cells are stockpiled? And why do they put finished panels on the factory roof? Most of all - why were the fake panels on Alpha's in the body shell, and the Gamma's are sitting up proud, where the drag will be more pronounced? And bordered by gaffer tape? CPC was liaised with more than a year before building Gamma, so why did they build it from the composite they knew they weren't using?

More on the progress: Aptera isn't the first to use the Tesla plug; someone may yet beat them to it, much like their claim of being the first to use solar when Lightning took that honour. Aptera has no vehicle, and prototypes don't count. Same goes for using Tesla chargers and 2022 is history. When you look at the real progress, it's pathetic. They have less than 20 hours to reveal a lousy computer drawing of the Delta, or they miss another of many promised deadlines.

Not sure why you were blocked. If you had insulted someone in the past, that’d be the only reason I’d block you. A lot of these questions you have, I don’t have answers. I think the only people that would have answers are those that actually work at Aptera. I’m not sure what you mean by “fake” with the Alpha and Gamma prototypes. I’ve seen Alpha actually drive down the road. I sat in Alpha and it was real. It did the job that a prototype is supposed to do. Gamma was real too. Working lights, doors and interface too. They ended up turning off the screen for most of the day, but it was on in the beginning. The finished panels on the roof were probably just there for that shot. That’s a guess but seems like the most likely reason for them to be there. As far as I know, Aptera is the first company to say that they will use the NACS connector. Maybe someone will beat them to production, but at this point it doesn’t sound like anyone is implementing that standard yet. You’re right that Aptera doesn’t have a production vehicle but I don’t see why that’s a problem. Out of curiosity, why do you spend so much time trying to discount Aptera? I don’t mean this in a snarky or mean way, I’m genuinely curious.

@@EVswithKaz [Not sure why you were blocked.] Because they have no answers for me. [If you had insulted someone in the past, that’d be the only reason I’d block you.] That is fine for each particular comment, but not for a blanket ban, and I am blanket banned on so many sites. Besides, RU-vid does its own policing of respect, even though they can't be equitable about it. Freedom of speech is worth more than pretending there are absolutely no fools in this world. [A lot of these questions you have, I don’t have answers.] There's your answer to your uncertainty. Not allowing the public to see the questions aids in what might be the biggest double-scam in history. [I think the only people that would have answers are those that actually work at Aptera.] They don't. There is one time I got an invite from AM to ask and they would explain. I asked, and never heard from them again - got blanket banned instead. [I’m not sure what you mean by “fake” with the Alpha and Gamma prototypes.] The solar on all Alpha's would not get an inch of propulsion from the sun. They were made to pretend they worked, and that's all. Then those who worked at AM and dozens of ambassadors advertised them as if solar was real. My definition of fake is as real as you will find in any dictionary. Watch the Gamma FCL reveal video and they say it is the first with real solar. Interestingly, no evidence in over 3 months for it. They may still be lying, but at least they admitted to the Alpha fakes. Solar is just one example of many fakes on their prototypes. [I’ve seen Alpha actually drive down the road.] On about a 15-25 kwh battery - less than a tenth of the advertised lowest range battery pack available. You can see the black box battery in the trunk of the Beta, and it is fake because they won't be selling such a setup. It probably weighs more than the legal trunk limit they speak of. [I sat in Alpha and it was real.] A real prototype, but a poor excuse for one, and not representative of what anyone would buy. They would sue AM for misrepresentation of goods. Prototypes need to get close enough to what they propose to sell, and AMs are nowhere near their promises. [It did the job that a prototype is supposed to do.] Then you have way too low a bar. If they fold, I hope you buy one. [Gamma was real too. Working lights, doors and interface too. They ended up turning off the screen for most of the day, but it was on in the beginning.] Even they say their screen is unfinished. They also say the EV is about 80% (if you can believe them). Has Gamma driven 250 miles? It's a 400 miler, but I will go easy. Has it been left in the sun for a day with a flat battery and driven as much as an inch on the first real solar? It needs to go 16 miles. People want facts, not your trust. Gamma was built with a composite shell long after they knew they were using CPCs completely different materials, so that 80% is a real crock, and it is deceptive practices by AM to pass it off as being so near to the Delta. I have a realistic view on events. [The finished panels on the roof were probably just there for that shot.] I don't like to deal in probables, and stick to facts wherever possible. It was easy to embed fake plastic in the Alpha composite shell, but real solar requires a gap. Unfortunately, this will reduce aerodynamics, yet they never say that. Heck, their Alpha's had the lowest Cd possible according to the computers, then they made a bigger EV and it got even lower - go figure? Only snake oil can do that. [That’s a guess but seems like the most likely reason for them to be there.] We can look at today's 2 minute Delta reveal, for what it's worth. [As far as I know, Aptera is the first company to say that they will use the NACS connector.] Fine, but BEING the first coy to use it is what matters. They talk a lot of hogwash. [Maybe someone will beat them to production, but at this point it doesn’t sound like anyone is implementing that standard yet.] Again, I don't care much for probables. [You’re right that Aptera doesn’t have a production vehicle but I don’t see why that’s a problem.] That's your low bar, and you have a right to set it low, but you overstep the mark when (like every pro-Aptera site) you speak as though these prototypes can do what the snake oil salesmen have claimed, yet never validated. Now there's a problem called deception looming large. [Out of curiosity, why do you spend so much time trying to discount Aptera? I don’t mean this in a snarky or mean way, I’m genuinely curious.] And I am genuinely open and honest, so will ease your mind. I will put it in a new comment.

@@EVswithKaz Here's why I tell people what I think of Aptera: First and foremost, as a retired programmer I had to find something better to do than playing Sudoku for mental stimulus, and decided to build a caravan at some future date (having no skills, whatsoever). Having begun watching RU-vid, I thought I might show the whole process like I saw tiny home builders do, then travel Australia and show it like I had seen van life people do, but I am just as unskilled at making videos as I am building caravans, so I thought I had better get proficient at what looked easiest, first. Covid, and life in general has put a long hold on the build, but has not affected my YT practice. I began with a small tour of my home, which I had designed, and quickly concluded that I sucked big time. I was pretty competent with houses, but caravans and YT were out of my depth. Not being a quitter, I looked for other things to practice on, and by accident fell over Aptera. In all of my practice videos, I found my Aptera vids had by far the most views, ergo, the most comments. Well, that accidentally provided better mental stimulus than trying to improve my video making. Yes, I sharpen my mind on the comments from so many gullible disciples who are willing to try to convince me something that doesn't exist soon will. You can verify this by seeing my 40 plus videos on my account page; they have the dates made and the numbers viewed. Inside them they have the number of comments. I had not expected AM to hang in this long, so I have milked it way longer than I first anticipated, and now I am happy to see it through because I just love teaching logic. It is way better than arranging 1-9 in a grid, and even more fun than learning to make good videos, which I find tedious at times. So far, nobody has been able to refute me, and I concede nobody has learned anything from me (a difficulty from their end, no doubt), but it doesn't matter, because the mental stimulus works for me and it's fun. As a car enthusiast, I would buy an Aptera should it do everything it claims to do, and as a person of high ethics, I will also apologize on all of my videos for being wrong. That won't be difficult - there were plenty of Sudoku's I got wrong.
