Dude thank you for pointing out Jordan wanting to get as close to the originals as possible... The brand literally only focused on colors... WHO cares if the colors are similar to the originals if the quality of the materials is nowhere near to the quality on the originals. I mean using the same or similar colors is a plus but this whole remastered thing is bull till we start getting better quality shoes... Especially for $190

I had the original Aqua 8s back in '93 and there was no speckle/glitter in the purple, but the grey is accurate to the originals. These shoes are fire and got mine on the way from Footlocker!

The original did have the glitter on mid-sole. These new retros are very close to the OG's with the most noticeable exception being the very light grey back. The OG's were a bit darker. The 07 versions were trash though.

Original Aquas did have the glittery effect on the midsole I thought they looked weird at first compared to my 07 pair but comparing them to the 07 release they are basically on point in terms of the color and even the shape to the OGs I would think quality of materials is better on the OGs but they are very close to the OGs just by looking at pictures

Shoe isn't made of durabuck. It's made of nubuck. Durabuck Is more solid and smooth than nubuck. Also I hate the straps on these aqua 8s. The cut of leather behind the straps are thin. It makes the straps very loose compared to the citrus/suns 8s i have.

People keep crying about how new sneakers aren't OG. Do you really want to walk around with 20 to 30 year old sneakers???? Do you have any idea how unhygienic and unsafe that is???? The sneakers might fall apart on you. That's 20 to 30 years of bacterial build up and possible fungus, no matter how well stored they are, it can and will happen. There not safe to wear. When the retro comes out, shelf the OG and buy the retro! Keep the OG as a sentimental piece of art if you want but don't wear them!

aqua 8s > 72-10s the 11 milky soles will turn yellow. The 8 is durable... probably last a couple of year longer
