Really great work here! That key change was marvelous, and we loved the references to Kairi, DB, and the 0.2 final battle. Even caught a sliver of Destati and Fate of the Unknown!
Its an awesome cover, only hampered by not being a real orchestra. Normally, this detail is trivial, but the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack seems to do a damn good job at bringing the best out of an orchestra.
Aqua: This keyblade ... Mickey: Is that ...? Aqua: Mickey, you're too late. Riku: Aqua ...? *Aqua holds up the keyblade she holds in his hand and snaps it in half, causing it to disappear in a flash of light and darkness. Dragged by the portal in which Mickey is, Mickey leaves the Kingdom of Darkness trying to stay, without success. Aqua shifts her gaze to Riku and, after making Eraqus's keyblade appear, points to Riku. Riku gets up from the ground and, after squeezing one of his hands with force, makes appear Way to the Dawn, his keyblade* Riku: All right... it's my turn to sacrifice for you. *Information: Defeat Aqua and free her heart from darkness.*
@@ryanthephone8716 Because they were only interested in giving Sora any shine in the game. Aqua gets treated like garbage the whole time too, so it's clear Nomura never cared about her character nearly as much as the fans.
Even better.... in a potential animated adaptation of Aqua vs the Mirror Aqua, we start with the Mirror Illusion Aqua music, then at a decisive moment during all the ridiculing Aqua is facing from the Realm of Darkness, she gives it all a "Shut up Hannibal" moment, and reaffirms her belief in her friends AS the music shifts from the Mirror Illusion theme to this music (preferably in a seamless transition, due due both having the same base theming) followed by Aqua getting a second wind and knocking the illusion down for good.
This is now my favorite thing ever. *Jams the like button so hard it lights on fire* *Goes to Aqua to help him put out the fire* *fails miserably, but it was all worth it because they were hearing this track*
Just noticed the 0.2 Final Boss theme in there after listening to this I don't know how many times, starting around 1:30. Very subtle, but now it's all I focus on during that part of the song. Love it!!
When I started this, I was using the gameplay clip (which includes the whole battle) as reference, so I ended up scoring the music to the intro, which is why the transition from slow to battle version fits so well with the video.
I swear to goose eggs, if your next kingdom hearts cover isnt titled: Dearly Beloved~Orchestral Battle Arrange~ I would be quite saddend. Keep it up though man! These are awesome!
In a sense, I kinda agree with you on Aqua's 0.2 theme, but at the same time don't. I think given what was going on in 0.2, I feel it is too fast paced to work with it and rather shows much more determination and confidence than Aqua was actually displaying at that moment. I agree that in the beginning, her 0.2 theme does not sound that amazing and does leave much to be desired. That being said, there's a part of the battle where she's suddenly surrounded by phantoms of herself and her doubts are suddenly being voiced all at once as you hack and slash at each one trying to find the real phantom. About 1:04 -1:36 into the 0.2 theme is what really ties that theme all together to make it work for the kind of battle with herself that she was going through. That being said, I really love your theme a lot as something of a boss battle theme for her where she's facing off against a huge heartless or something.
God, somehow you always find a way to improve your work from one piece to the next, and this us no exception. I love how you intertwined other musical tracks into this too(Like Kairi's for example), and the weight this song carries is immense. Much better than 0.2's version, this is an excellent piece of music by all forms of measure. You've done it again Jer.
Thank you for giving me a non-sad version of the Aqua theme to listen to. I can see a lot of comments saying that this should've been used for the Anti-Aqua battle but I personally disagree. As much as KH3 disappointed me, the one in the game was great, it spoke volumes about her sorrow. If it was upbeat in the game, it wouldn't fit the mood for me. That being said, I love this theme and it would have definitely fit in other spots.
Jerry! This totally blows 0.2's version out of the water (BA DUM TSH). Bad pun aside, this was definitely epic for sure... wait is that Kairi's Theme I hear???!!! Also, I loved how you used Tara and Lizz's vocal covers as references for this one; that was a very nice touch!
Okay so when Sora Riku and King Mickey go to finally rescue aqua from the Land of Darkness there needs to be a situation that alot of heartless appear similar to the 1000 heartless battle and then as the battle goes aqua appears. What I am saying is this... THIS. SONG. BETTER. PLAY!! This is absolutely amazing! I never even thought speeding this up would be so good! And im serious about the whole battle there
This MASTERPEACE?? I just can't imagine other thing now than Anti Aqua Boss Fight Phase 1 and 2. First phase, the battle we know. 2nd phase, An stronguer Anti-Aqua that will be so much difficult than the first one, with this Background music. Aqua attacks could be very similar to the secret mirror boss in Birth by sleep 0.2. Just think about this. The EPICNESS
Information: Defeat Anti-Aqua! Keep an eye on her as she teleports, dodge her attacks, and retaliate. Don't be afraid to attack the doubles she creates; you might find an unexpected opening!
Me: dialog dialog dialog...blah blah bl- Aquanort: *dialog* Me: *pauses game, blasts water out of eyeballs, unpauses, continues* *This theme plays* Me: (reread 2nd Me to understand what I did now)
