we got one 3 years ago, this was a great entry into the sport for us, going alone or all together. Now we grew up to have on board per family member, (flatwater race 18' -- kids 8' -- cruizing 12'6 -- and kept the family board). We now borrow it to family and friends who would experience sup for the first time or all family on one board trips. Decent board, the 2020 and more recent models are better than the one described here.

Good way to carry a board is to put it on top of your head and put your hands on the side or the handle to balance the board on your head . It's effortless actually

If you wanted a board that you can paddle solo 60% of the time, and with another adult for the rest, would you recommend this board (2021 has the center handle), or the Atlas?

Good question. I think I would probably go for an Atlas. At 34 inches wide it will offer a little bit more stability when paddling with an adult. But because of its pulled in tail will still offer a little bit of performance when you are paddling on your own also. But for the ultimate in ease of paddling with two people the super trip tandem would definitely be the most stable board obviously . Thanks Reuben

Thanks for the video. I look forward to buy this model. I want a family model but also a model that can be use by my daughter (11 years old) and son 9 years old. Do you think they will be able to use it without me ? or i need to buy 2 paddles ?

Thanks for the thorough review, appreciate it. How does the board react to light wind ,if we want to take it down to the ocean, and do you know if we can replace the fin easily if they got damaged on the rocky bay. Thanks in advance !

Hi Nicole. The board will handle a small amount of chop or coastal swell and wind ok. As good as any another bigger inflatable SUP. The fins are very easy to replace if they get broken or lost. Thanks Reuben

@@SUPboardermag Hi Reuben! Thank you for your fast reply! We took the board out for the first time today and we pumped it up to 15 psi and as soon as we unscrew the pump from the valve, It started hissing very loudly we panicked to close the valve , so I dont think it was at 15 when we started paddling. What step did we miss?

good review......very practical and insightful.... how would this compare to say the Aqua Marina Monster, the Blackfin Model XL or the McConks Go Explore 12'8"

Hey Marc, The Aqua Marina Super Trip is just bigger in width then all those boards. And way wider in the tail giving you way more stability. The Super Trip will be much better at taking extra people, and the other boards are more of a single person SUP. Hope that helps Reuben

Cheers Reuben very helpful... we have 3 young kids and my wife want to do the same idea as you done with the Red Paddle co 15' Tandem trip (which was an excellent video to show possibility of what can be done) with our kids... one of us would take 2 kids on one board and other 1 on a standard iSup... the Red Paddle Co looks awesome have to say.... our idea is to also do some canal and river trips with them.. are they better options out there for family's? would be cool to see a review on any if there were

Very cool, go for it. The other board to check out, that we did a review on was the shark SUP nurse shark ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8Yia05Lpbqo.html . The Red is the best by far but the most money too. This AQ Super Trip is a very good value board for what you want.

Yeah if you wanted to add D rings all you would need to do is stick them onto the PVC board layer. So you might have to remove a small area of deck pad if needed in certain areas. Hope that helps Reuben

One question Reuben. What dobyou think about rhe triple fin in the 2019 model vs single fin in 2020? Thanks in advance!

They seem to paddle exactly the same. To be honest this board suits a single thing better than the three fin model of last year. Having the extra fins out on the rails is much better for catching waves and producing more hold to the wave face. Which to be totally honest you're not really going to be doing on this bigger super trip that much. For flat water you really won't notice the difference between the two. Thanks Reuben

Hello, i have a sup 10×33×6 size 15psi. Weight limit 287lbs. Can i take my kids on the board with me, we are at 240lbs both.

There's no reason you cant give it a go. Start off both on your knees on really flat water and see how the board feels. But your board should be able to take the weight fine. Thanks Reuben
