This game does some things most 2D fighter games do not do. One, make a very appeasing credit outro. Usually they are just boring credits. But it has a catchy tune and shows which characters voiced who and such. Its minor but its a smart idea. The they used the original voice actors. I'm actually surprised they were able to get them again. Then again, money does help.
yeah but one thing Japan is REALLY good at and cares alot about is fanservice. take alook at Tatsunoko vs Capcom, alot of the voice actors on the Tatsunoko side was the original actors, who did the voices for the animes that orginated in the 70-80's. and they STILL fucking got it down,
James Vega Oh no hesitation on that. Nintendo is a fine example. People "diss" them a lot (usually the fans of Sony and Microsoft) however Nintendo's service and developers have always aimed towards their fans with no second thoughts.

Nintendo of America needs a shitload of work, even as a fan of Nintendo i was dissapointed with the lack of games that werent being brought from overseas during the Wii era...a good example would be Fatal Frame IV. and there were ALOT of third party games on there that werent good.
There was another fighting game that came out in 1999 by Watanabe Seisakusho using the characters from Leaf/Aquaplus properties but had 34 playable characters and could play 2-on-2. While this is a good effort by Aquaplus to maintain relevance of its characters, I'm afraid it just doesn't quite hold up to that game.
10:39 Pretty sure this is the greatest move ever created, in any game, anywhere, at any time. Why these aren't instant-finishers and actually have a severe damage cap is beyond me, considering that they require you to be in a weakened state with three bars stored up, anyway.
+Breadon92 Could I trouble you for advice? I got the game today, and I've trained Hakuoro, Karula and Oboro (planning to main the former two). Even after 3.5 hours, I can't seem to do their splash moves, nor part three of hakuoro's combo special.
David Rose Oboro's and Haku's especially take some getting used too. considering i'm a retired veteran (i've GODded 5 characters, Haku being 1) i can answer pretty much anything you need to know. Oboro is forward back down up R1 in quick succession. so basically: forward, back,high jump, R1. Haku' in all honesty i could never get his 3rd wind fan extension down either so i pretty much mash it out. i just keep doing quarter circles through most of his second extension and when i think it's about right to hit R1 i mash that. usually it comes out. i usually rely on his raging demon desperation. which is medium, weak, down, strong, strong, in quick succession. that one will definitely take you some time getting used too. it took me until my retirement year (my 5th year of playing) to finally get it down.

I actually meant to say hakoro and karula though. my bad. the best combo I have for hakuoro is: medium fan wave>partner assist (Urutorii's lightning bolt)>medium fan wave>Mukkuru (from behind the opponent)>strong fan wave.
David Rose if you like i can have you some matches to see where you stand on things and help you out where you need it. unfortunately Ulthry doesn't really allow much in terms of combo ability i've found. she's more of a utility character. thats why i stick to camyu. i can get a 5 guage combo with her. all you gotta do is wk, low med, super, camyu, tiger from behind, desperation. nets you about 12,000. lol as for Karulou, i've also GODded her my GODs are: Haku, Karu, Chizuru, Sasara, and Manaka. i'm S with Oboro and Tamaki. so feel free to ask questions...unless it involves Touka, Morgan or Rhiannon. i dislike them greatly and refuse to learn them so i can only tell you the basics unfortunately.
This game is awesome. However its just me but I suck at doing special moves. Because sometimes its not easily detectable unless you have probably an arcade stick with you. Again could be just me. I can do combos somehow though. That being said, I'm not that great or a pro on fighting games except games like Super Smash Bros or Playstation All Stars. Idk why. However the game is still a lot of fun.
It's been a while, but if you still have trouble pulling off specials, then my recommendation is just to practice. A fight stick can make things easier, but it by no means makes a player. If you can already do combos, then you've already got the hang of something harder than doing specials. Aquapazza has fairly lenient input recognition as far as fighters go, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with a little polishing. Just get used to the inputs, and they'll come naturally enough eventually. This is coming from someone who is also not that great at fighters, but passable.
0ctopusComp1etely You do know how much fight sticks cost right? A lot. let alone there are not that much around locally sadly. But its not really the practice that bothers me. I have never failed at doing a special move till now.
Nick VanderKooi Then I don't really know what to tell you. I play the game using a pad when I visit my friend in Austin, and I actually found the inputs to be more accepting and responsive than say, Blazblue or what have you. If you've never had trouble with inputs before now, then I really don't see why you would here, so I'm stumped. Maybe it wants a different timing for the input than other fighters; I don't know. Good luck figuring it out?
0ctopusComp1etely Perhaps I'm just unlucky lol. I did kind of beat my ps3 controller. Its been used a lot lol. Ah well. Its a fun game still. When it comes to J-fighter games. You can never go wrong with interesting character concepts, designs, and even crossovers. Now I wish we had some more. :S
