I never even thought about the idea of being unable to press charges when someone destroys your property with their suicide. I am not even sure there's an insurance that will cover something like that.
I love how Meatwad and Carl don't want to participate in the seance not because they distrust necromancy/black magic, but because they don't like Shake.
Went to visit my dad once, and his wife put this show on cuz she had fallen in love with it (and she is the _last_ person you'd guess watches ATHF [reads _The New Yorker,_ watches Martha Stewart]) and she's been meaning to show it to him, and for the entire 15 minutes my dad's just squinting at the TV with a WTF expression, like he just can't fathom the dialogue or characters or chaotic direction, and right there at the end with Meatwad's "Well can I let go of his hand now?" 🤝 my dad erupts in this huge belly laugh, is just laughing throughout the credits, and all this tension melts away. Great memory!
awww c: now that's a proper sweet moment w/ the folks! my pops and I used to love watchin this show together back when I was a youngster; he was pretty oldschool himself but the sheer absurdity would always leave him dead lool
One of my favorite things about this show is Frylock and Meatwad’s friendship, I just find some of the times where Frylock is playing along with Meatwad and trying to keep Shake from being a dick very..I dunno, wholesome? I’m just glad they made Frylock be that way, otherwise I’d just feel bad for Meatwad anytime Shake shits all over anything he does
And I dunno whats funnier and more sweet(as the show never canonically stays sure) if Meatwad is an actual little child or a grown manchild whose helpless and stupid whom Frylock just feels a need to protect from being harmed or manipulated by all the asshole lunatics surrounding him.
For me it's the more subtle moments where Frylock stops Shake from hurting or killing himself, like in this episode. Even though Shake makes his & Meatwad's lives considerably worse most of the time, and sometimes he lets Shake suffer hard yet deserved consequences for his dumbassery, at the end of the day it's clear neither he nor Meatwad really want to see Shake in deep pain, sad or dead. He's still their friend and loved one...on some fucked-up dysfunctional level.
Only thing in there is a ghost talking about his sister's baby. The only other ghost is his sister's baby. All you get is "wah wah wah" cause the ghost baby's cranky
There's a part when billy first makes them hold hands and tells them to "kiss deep with tongue" then he says "just kid dirty boy". The phrase "dirty boy" in his voice is permanently and deeply ingrained into my vocabulary
Furst ATHF episode I ever saw as a kid staying up late. This and the Dr. Weird skits. Staying up till 3 AM back in the early 2000s was magical. Especially to a kid without internet.
I love these, and appreciate the effort you put into editing & uploading them, but with Any edit of ATHF you'll inevitably have to leave out a nice chunk of great parts. For this one that's possibly including (but not limited to): Meatwad sassing-off to Frylock "Uhh, I don't think you heard me, I said no.", Meatwad taking the polaroid photo of Frylock & Carl and exclaiming "You Boyfriend & Boyfriend now!" for holding hands, BillyWitchDoctorDotCom telling Carl "Now, Kiss him deep, with tongue.", and the Overly-Dramatic Music that repeatedly accompanied Billy's Stick-Slamming & Chikkun-aRise Chanting the first few times.
"You boyfriend and boyfriend now!" is one of my all time favorite lines from ATHF. I mean there are really SO MANY great lines but this one really stood out because I didn't expect it to come from Meatwad.
