Well I currently stick with my mares day mask which I use for scuba as I haven't had time to buy a free diving mask except I have the new tusa that came out to test it out and see how it is
@@TheBlackMermaid I haven't used it yet but it is very low volume it's called the UM 29 the vision is not as good as others but don't have to equalize the mask as much but I didn't realize the aqualung sphera was 500-600 I was looking into that mask
When I picked my mask for Scuba, I was dead-set on purchasing one of the larger US Divers, don't remember the model, but was the more commercial, and Retro, style I adore(I'm old enough to remember the first time FLIPPER was shown as Re-runs on B&W TV!!). When the fellow in the shop had me compare visibility.....I went(still reluctantly)with AquaLung's Tecnika(spell?), a low profile mask that doesn't have the skirt for freediving, but who knows? To a certain, much shallower depth, would you recommend something like that when Apnea opps occur?
Wayne Jones hmm... I don’t know the flipper ad 🙈🙈🙈 buuuut I’d think even shallower I’d always prefer the freediving skirting, it gives me more comfort... maybe the deeper the better... I don’t know, I’ve just looked up the teknika and it’s an interesting looking mask, very thin skirting at the bottom by the nose, almost similar to the Sphera... how does it feel when freediving?
@@TheBlackMermaid Flipper was a movie made into a TV series in the mid-1960's, basically put Dolphins into peoples' minds for the first time on a wide scale!
@@TheBlackMermaid I haven't tried it yet, winter's shut down anything dive-related here unless you have a drysuit, but there IS a Dive Entry area not far from me I will make a point of visiting this Summer!
Yvan Coel how well have you found the fog stop system to work? I like the Omer masks, very well designed 🔥 I haven’t tried the Cressi freediving masks before 🧐
The Black Mermaid I still used the anti fog spray as i saw that in a review on RU-vid. I went back to the Omer mask as i disliked the pressure of the fog stop membrane around the nose
Yvan Coel interesting, very interesting. I’ve burnt the inner glass of the Mares and used anti fog on it but it still fogs up, you can see even in this video, quite frustrating too 🤷🏽♀️
I got Mares Xfree this summer, its realy small mask. Only problem with it is that I need some time to adjust mask to fit properly to my face. My eyelash keep touching glass of the mask, thats make strange feel when you dive deep. Also have Aqualung Micromask comming on way to me, so I will compare them hed to hed.
Little tip how to improve future review video: When you explain a thing like equalizing, show it at the same time as you explain. Have a shot where you show that it is more difficult to use it for you white mask. I know it‘s more time consuming to do, but it gives a vastly more professional touch to the video. Feel free to chat to me. Nice video.
Before you made the comment on Underwater Hockey I was thicking it would make a great mask for that. Good call young lady. Charleston Blockade Runners. Tony
:50 Pretty in Pink :) 5:20 You looked a tad apprehensive with the Aqualung compared to the Mares, seems the latter is more For-You!! 5:22 You got a little twist on your strap there, careful!! :D
Wayne Jones lol, the camera man was a little too close when I came down wearing the Sphera so it was a little tricky lol, hence the slight apprehension 🙈 should have fixed the twist lol but only watched videos when I got home 😊🙈🙈
@@TheBlackMermaid It's okay, just a little joke with ya! Shoot, I was so pent-up when I took my Scuba classes(wasn't able to finish for life reasons :( ), on one session, I dropped my mask into the pool three times!!! As we say in my area, #OyVey!! LOL
