in the last movie, Manta was just as skilled as Arthur but was underpowered the first time. The second time, he nearly curb stomped an unarmed Arthur. Finally, we get to see both of them, equally armed, armored and skilled, go trident-to-trident.
@@johnbradshaw2347I always thought this weapon would be extremely hard to pull off looking legitimate in a fight. I was wrong. So sick. The one take is dope
I wish the movie was better. I watched the first one in IMAX so many times, and this 3 times because of the nostalgia. But I could see there were issues with making the movie, probabmy because of corporate interference preventing Wan from fully expressing his creativity.
Ngl but This whole Epic Siquence Kinda Felt Like That One Fight i Would Actually be doing or Seing In the Injustice 2 game like holly did It Looked Alot Peak ! ! ! 🔱💯🔥👌
0:33 First, he worked for Black Manta, and now he is helping aquaman save his son. And it is a good thing that he threw aquaman trident at him to fight against black manta.
I don’t get any of the hate for this movie at all I was waiting for it to be bad but it’s just fine the hate made it seem like it was one of the worst DC movies of all time
this actually the look I grew up with when I was first introduced to cartoon superheroes. my dad sat me down and we would watch Superfriends reruns on cartoon network every Saturday morning. so in actuality this is the real Black Manta look than the look in the first Aquaman movie.
The instant rage powerup that Arthur had from watching his son's life be threatened made him an instant monster to fight with for sure. Made Manta eat that up rq
People are not realising this but Kordax did fight Aquaman through black manta and orm to free himself so I don’t know why people would say they wasted him cause he just got freed and killed at the same time. Kordax did fight Aquaman through blackmanta and orm as VESSELS and PUPPETS.
Now why the hell couldn't this movie have been solely about Black Manta's quest for revenge against Aquaman? Why did they feel the need to sideline him in favor of some supernatural evil that's controlling and influencing his actions? That's such a lame trope and it diminishes the way cooler antagonist in favor of some lame lich ruler dude.
@@isaklal518Manta literally has a suit of high-tech armor that allows him to go toe-to-toe with Arthur. We'd already seen him do so in the previous movie. He doesn't need a magic trident to be a threat to Aquaman, and it certainly didn't need to be shown controlling him to do things and thus diluting his agency as a character. My point is that they didn't NEED to write in some stupid MacGuffin to make him more powerful, they could have just shown us he'd upgraded his suit and weaponry and that would've been more than sufficient. Hell, he doesn't even have to be someone who could specifically defeat Aquaman in a 1-on-1 bout in order to be a credible threat. His determination/obsession with revenge against Arthur and his vast criminal resources were enough to make him a credible threat. If anything, it'd give him a bit of an underdog factor that makes you actually feel threatened when he gains the upper hand, because you know that he can turn the tables even with the cards stacked against him.
@@a_fine_edition2746 love the way you explained it. The lich thing should have been an Aquaman 3, could have been set up with Black Manta learning the weird fuel shit
Arthur Jnr has blonde hair in comics like his father, while his sister Andy has red hair like her mother. Arthur Jnr is the grandchild of Atlanna who has blonde hair.
