Aquaphalt 6.0 Permanent Asphalt Repair for potholes, driveways, and roads - Bucket
by Aquaphalt
Ranked #1 by Consumer Reports
Permanent asphalt repair, backed by a 3-year warranty
Environmentally friendly, no VOC's
Sets up with water
Open to traffic immediately
Aquaphalt 6.0 Permanent Repair, 3.5 gallon, Black
Revolutionary permanent asphalt and concrete repair material for pothole repair, pavement repair, utility cuts, walkways, tennis courts and driveway repair - it works even in wet and cold conditions
Eco-friendly binder reacts and hardens with only water-no toxic solvents
Aquaphalt is laid directly from its container-no need to mobilize large crews and equipment
Minimizes roadway disruption with no need for special preparations
Pre-mixed and permanent Aquaphalt is a one-time fix
What Is It?
Quick road repairs used to require large crews, heavy equipment, perfect weather, and a hefty invoice to boot. Kind of like fishing with dynamite. Revolutionary Aquaphalt offers a better solution.
Used successfully in Europe for years, Aquaphalt is the first pre-mixed, permanent repair material that is enduring, high-performing and 100% environmentally friendly. Aquaphalt’s proprietary “green” binder reacts and hardens with solely water-unlike other asphalt patching products available on the market today containing toxic petroleum-based solvents with volatile organic compounds. And Aquaphalt can be laid directly from its container, so no repeat repairs or overhead costs are required. In today’s economy, eliminating additional equipment, material and labor costs for the same lasting repair is a top priority.
While other cold patch products claim durability and immediate set-up, if you’ve ever stepped in a utility cut while crossing the street that resembled a rocky sludge, you know the other products remain pliable far beyond application. On top of that, those fillers must eventually be replaced by permanent pavement materials. Only Aquaphalt sets-up fast and permanently for superior results. From potholes to manholes and utility cuts to driveways and tennis courts, in the world of asphalt and concrete, we’ve learned that stable base materials plus enduring binders equal unlimited potential for all of our customers.
The first asphalt and concrete repair product with true staying-power, along with the knowledgeable sales and support staff to back it up, Aquaphalt is the revolutionary answer for fast, quality road repairs. Expedition Money LLC

Wet the surface before Appling. Take my word on this, it works better

Appears like a decent product. Since it's water activated, might be tempted to pressure wash area to clean and open up cracks, then pour layer, tamp, add more, tamp, water, to keep moist as layers added and tamped. Just a thought. Cheers

What you did here is probably about most the diy'rs would have done. You showing us this is a great teaching aid at your expense and I (as we all should) thank you for it. I myself would not have given it the 1-2 day 'tire test', at least between 14 - 28 days. What I need to do is raise a hollow spot, then try to raise the width (9') to the street about 5'. Street crew placed more asphalt on the street making my driveway about 1 - 1 1/2 inches lower for the first five feet. So after a rain or melted snow, we gather a small puddle at the end of the drive. Annoying as the devil. Thanks buddy for sharing this with us.

The manufacturer says to water before tamping. That may have helped with a deeper cure. Looks good though.

Can you first flame it to make it super hard, add cement dust to fill in the nooks and crannies and then slather a smooth layer of Rustoleum rubberized epoxy shield to make it very very smooth..dry, .and then add two coats of driveway sealer to make it even more smooth....

I imagine a longer-lasting fix would be to dig up the alligator cracking and fill the hole with cement, using the old asphalt broken up as the aggregate.

Thanks for doing this. I think this would work better if you watered it before tamping. But then again I have not seen the whole video. Being water activated... if it’s already tamped, less water will reach it.

Bad review, that was not compacted enough and left to cure long enough. This is a fantastic product, better than any patching material on the market. Will get as hard as hot mix asphalt when cured.

@williamkirk7781
@williamkirk7781 3 года назад
Been doing asphalt 25 yrs and I don't see how this material can bond to the existing asphalt without any bonding agent. But using this material is only temporary. To make it correctly you would have to saw out a patch and have a good stone base. Fill in the patch with real material and compact and tack
@aquaphalt7659
@aquaphalt7659 3 года назад
William, thanks for bringing your 25 years of experience to the conversation. Aquaphalt is not your traditional cold patch. It actually has binder already in it. When you pour the water on top it activates the binder and causes the Aquaphalt to set up and get hard. Its German engineering at its finest, but we manufacture it in Virginia. Aquaphalt has a 3-year warranty after its installed. Check out our website for aa Virginia DOT case study with a 4-year follow up picture. www.aquaphalt.com

No applied in the proper way it’s not a coating it’s for patching potholes. It’s great stuff. He is wrong terrible test don’t pay attention to this result. This a typical homeowner that isn’t knowledgeable about pavement repair. When applied properly this stuff performs phenomenally. www.brewpro.net

It seems all the videos of folks using this always seem to tamp it down before watering. The directions are clear, wet it, then tamp. It makes sense that you want to activate the binder and get as much wet and activated as possible, then smash it together creating a stronger bond.

There's no way of knowing for sure obviously. But I bet it be safe to say that your tires well under pressure. The fact that you got a big bubble on the side. Tells me you're not riding on the ball of your tire. Next time you go to stamp something try putting a little of that I'm finished cuz I think you'll act on those Stamper strikes. Overall good video though

You have a keen eye, Dr Solo! I actually had the tires replaced shortly after that which is why I was fine using them to grind on the aquaphalt. Despite the slight grinding, the aquaphalt has still held up nicely, and I just posted a follow up video!

Good question. If you've ever used tradition cold patch you already know the answer to this....traditional cold patch is petroleum based and temporary. It never sets up and will come out of the hole after enough rain and/or traffic. Aquaphalt sets up with water and bone to the surrounding pavement. It has a 3-YEAR WARRANTY after its installed.
