I actually just got a small travel size of this when I couldn’t get Cerave Healing Ointment. I used it on dry patches around my ears that I got after swimming & it worked great!
My tube has made in Mexico on it. It's great on my feet, hands, elbows, lips, etc. I tried Cerave, but always go back to Aquaphor. I use it before I brush my teeth, to protect my lips and skin from any irritation from toothpaste. I use it around my eyes before using tretinoin. Hands after doing my nails. On any cuts or scrapes. On my incision after surgery. I even use it on my dogs paws and nose in the winter!! Many blessings💖💖💖
Dogs love this stuff, my dog got hold of a new tube and ate most all of it while I was at work. The vet said it wouldn’t hurt her, it would cause her to have loose stools for a couple days. I kept the Aquaphor put away from then on.

It keeps it them very soft., better than anything I have used. And helps heal facial skin after procedures., irritation etc., i have hypersensitive skin and has save me several times. Some people the Ingredient Lanolin doesn't agree with them. 🙏🤲✝️
I love this thing. I use it on my lips every night and around my nose and mouth because tret is specially hard on my skin on those areas. Best thing to ever be created
AQUAPHOR is Made in Mexico. Aquaphor sister company is La Prarie. Beiersdorf owns Aquaphor, Nivea, Eucerin, La Prairie, Chanticaille, Coppertone, etc. Crazy how drug store brands have connection to rich fancy luxury brands via parant company.
I am French and you can easily find it here for cheap so it's been a staple for me for years. It's sold here as Eucerin Aquaphor. I always have very cracked lips and this is the best for the result/budget. I mainly use it for my lips, sometimes for my feet too. It's very similar to the Elizabeth Harden 8 hour cream that people rave about and the Dr Sam's lip balm. Although in the summer with the heat the texture becomes too liquidy so I prefer Dr Sam's which texture is thicker and does no melt with the heat. They have an "official" lip version with a slightly different formula but it does not work as well. So I always prefer to get this big tube. I have also tried vaseline for my lips per recommendation and it did nothing. Aquaphor is a completely different level...
I use this in the following ways: 1) lip balm 2) for cracked heels 3) slugging 4) around mouth and eye area to shield from tretinoin application 5) over mild scrapes or patches of irritation
I love the aquaphor advanced repair lip treatment for my overnight lip treatment. I'm not entirely sure if it's any different from this big bottle lol, I should look into that. Love a great value product like this, thanks for reviewing it! Always great to hear your thoughts.
I think Aquaphor is made in Mexico, but it's been awhile since I looked at the label. Manufacturing sites keep changing on stuff ! I LOVE Kerasol ointment for my cuticles. Nothing works better than that!
If you get the big tub "yes its a few bucks" it will literally last you a life time! I use it on tattoos to keep them looking bright and dark. I like it because it really penetrates and a lil goes a long way. And as long as you dont over do it, 20min later the "sticky" feeling is gone unlike vaseline.
My left under eye area developed eczema type thing so the doctor prescribed me a hydrocortisone ointment and bephanthol baby ointment treatments. I have to say their baby ointment is more skin friendly around the eyes than any other petrolatum based product I’ve ever used.
Hi Sarah all the atopic skin balms by UK brands are cruelty free (animal testing has been banned here for years and they're not sold internationally as far as I'm aware) eg epaderm and cetraben. these contain soft paraffin and mineral oil type ingredients, so they can be used as a balm, as a super gentle washing product, bath additive and also for wet wrapping eczema (soaking gauze in the liquid of this mixed with water and applied overnight to the severely irritated area). Here Aquaphor is sold under the Eucerin brand btw, but it's much more expensive. Strangely enough I have had a massive eczema flare on my neck/chest this week and epaderm ointment is what is slathered over the whole area right this minute. I even took my makeup off with it first before reapplying as a leave on balm (yesterday I used the steroid ointment Betnovate underneath, as the itch was driving me to insanity). I'm struggling to work out what caused the flare, but sometimes it just happens. Surprisingly my rosacea has not flared to join the party, but I'm grateful for small mercies. Best wishes.
I love paraffin and mineral oil in ingredients for my eczema. It’s in my rx cream too. It’s very soothing. Unfortunately epaderm and cetraben not sold in the states
@@21972012145525 There may be an equivalent product sold there. epaderm is white soft paraffin and mineral oil mixed to a balm texture - perhaps vaseline has something similar? I can't use cereve as it burns/stings my skin, but there are other balms including some store brands who offer this type of very basic skincare product. Best wishes for calm skin x
Oh wow aquaphor huh Sara?! Lol ok I’m here for this waiting to see what the alternatives are. I used to like cereve but realized aquaphor is way thicker and like it better
Nothing is affordable here either. We’re just a nation of interest abd credit card debt. She’s relating it to the other brands and sizes she reviews in therms of cost/oz. In that sense it is affordable (compared to skin fix for example which sells tiny jars for $30?!). Also at least you gave health insurance 😢
@@21972012145525I have heard things are crazy expensive in England but try but I think the US housing market is catching up and as far as this stuff is concerned… It’s $7-8 USD for the 1.75 oz travel size in US (or 3 for $18 USD on Amazon) so the smaller size is a complete rip off. I don’t consider it affordable at all so I can only imagine what it cost in England. 😮The larger tube is less expensive for more product; WTH?
I avoid due to lanolin. That being said I personally don’t find the eucerin intensive moisture to be comparable. Eucerin is an very emollient lotion. Aquaphor is ointment. Vaseline, cerave healing ointment, cetaphil ointment, a&d ointment, and vanicream ointment are comparable imo
I cannot believe how much more expensive their travel size tubes cost over larger size tubes. I’m just starting out on Tretinoin so I wanted one travel size (1.75 oz) tube which costs about $8 at the drug store or a 3 pk is $18.84 on Amazon vs $13 for a 7 oz tube. With a nerve damage, in my hands, it’s just easier for me to dispense a tiny amount out of smaller tubes so I guess for that “luxury” I’ll be paying $6 more for 1.75 less ozs (which is actually equal to a another whole travel size tube). CRAZY! If I was at the airport or the drugstore, I understand the mark up but on Amazon and Walmart? 😮I debated purchasing a single travel CeraVe for less but every review I’ve read, explained how near to impossible it is to dispense the product, to the point where the bottle becomes damaged trying to get it out so at these prices for stuff better leave no oil behind and blow Vaseline out of the water!
How can I take out the aquaphor off my face? 😅😭 It's sooo oily, not even soap helps to ger rid of it 🙊🙊🙈🙈🙈i did laser and i can use soap or rubb it to take it off so , it's imposible to free my face od this 🥺😩
I don’t use Aquafor because of the lanolin (odd that they have it in there since lanolin is not an uncommon allergy) but I love the CeraVe healing ointment. I use it every day on my feet and lips.
Define "not uncommon" allergy... last time I checked, the estimate was between 1 and 2 % of population (although there are many other numbers you can find, most of which are below 0.5%).

I would say Cervae has its allergens too. I have hypersensitive skin. And I used Ceravae healing ointment for I would say about a month off and on my facial skin. But realized afterwards it was irritating me. There is something in the composition. I still want to check the ingredients again. It might be the HA! I'm not sure at this point. I'm not allergic to HA. And well I'm not sure if in a composition HA would be a issue since we as humans have HA naturally. Probably if there is another ingredient in there that doesn't get along. I do think it's a good healing ointment probably at times for a cut, burn. But I would rather reach out for Vaseline healing ointment or Aquaphor. Aquaphor healing ointment has been the only thing so far that keeps my lips soft for a long period of time. I used it as a night as a mask. And Vaseline healing ointment when my lips get slightly cracked. And it's only a specific area on my lips not the entire lip area. Probably because of a lip product I used 2 years ago that ripped some of my skin off in that area. 🙄I wish i can remember the name of that brand. Not sure who the hell would use it. Probably someone with rough thick lips. That have some kind of melasma issue. The brand should advise more specifically how to use it, if so. I dont know but it did hurt my lips. Because all I did was apply some of the serum And Aquaphor heals. 🤲🙏✝️ I'm glad it works for you though.

@@kerry8461 Dr. Dray was also saying that mineral sunscreens "reflect" uv rays for years, but then finally corrected herself 3 days ago. Maybe one day she will acknowledge what the real difference between spf 30 and 50 is lol...She goes by the textbook, so I'd take what she says with a grain of salt. I find it interesting that none of the 3 practising derms on the podcast I recommended you to watch, have EVER encountered a lanolin allergy patient. Look up Kligman's (co-inventor of retin-a) stence on the subject as well. It's perfectly ok, if you are avoiding it. I am simply sharing information and inviting you to expand your knowledge.
