It’s cloudy because of the coconut oil. There is a reason as to why it is suggested to use baby oil. Products react differently to resin and UV lights

As someone who's a little intimidated by the aquarium nail technique, I'll definitely be trying these! These would be perfect for creating cool accent nails!

A suggestion would be to coat the inside with clear polish after buffing to see if it gets rid of the cloudiness

Cute, cute, cute!! I think baby oil (mineral oil) has a different viscosity as compared to coconut oil. Perhaps that is why the glitter gets stuck sometimes?

I suggest the technique Lysette Gel Nails does on her aquarium nails...the aquarium is over the whole nail not just the tip and they aren't bulky on the nail!!! They always look great!!!

Yes I love these I definitely do think sometimes you fill the nails up too much with stuff which doesn’t give it room to move but I love these you did great 💙

If I were into aqua nails I would definitely go with these. They're really neat and the set turned out beautifully. 💜

Those are awesome tips! Nail tech tip, to blend the tips into your natural nail and cuticle better float some builder gel from your cuticle towards the free edge. You don’t need to go the whole way but it will ensure a smooth transition as well as add some strength. Not as necessary if you’re popping them off but if you did want them to last its a great Technique.

they’re so cute ! I just had a thought though: perhaps you could separate some oil to mix with a very fine glitter you want to use and insert the bigger pieces with your tweezers, might help with consistency!

I think it could clear up if after filling inside and cleaning with alcohol to paint inside with thin no wipe top coat the might solve it being cloudy and take visible scratches away inside imo - then fill it with glitter and oil - the tips are cool too!! Now I can try these as well!!

Hi strong resin smell ans stickiness can mean that the resin isn’t good quality or not hardened correctly. Resin is toxic uncured so please be careful with usage and letting it touch your skin!

You should definitely try out more 3D printed nails. I feel like full cover tips would be doable but I’d be curious how they feel.

Other than the cloudiness 🌧️ this is a “win”! Process is much simpler!

You always do great work. IMO I think k the cloudiness is from when you filed the inside of them. Even tho you rinsed them. There was no clear-coat to make them clear again.

Maybe make a funnel with a super thin piece of paper or out of poly gel? That way you can slide the fine glitter directly in the nail.

I wonder if you put some top coat inside the tank after buffing the inside with your bit and flushing with alcohol.. then use a tiny little art brush to top coat the inside, then cure, then fill as normal. I bet they would come out a lot more clear!!
