nope, killing thousand people you will became a "hero" that was what middle age people said even till now, the reason why a hero can be bad because he life long enough even had their bad thing exposed
When we were made a chaos lord we were arguably worse than Drakath. Especially my hero who was evil and served Gravelyn and Dage to begin with. We then proceeded to practically tear the world apart. No one was able to stop us and we would have killed Drakath and become a much worse champion of chaos if he had not caught us off guard by revealing our true nature.
@@pride2184 I remember you see why you where killed, it's supposedly because Sepulchure won in aq timeline so Galanoth kills the dragon of time to reset the time and having a second chance against sepulchure, thus creating aqw timeline, I think you see that in one of the quests when you do chrono span against iadoa
When I think about the AQW lore (or the general lore of the AE games) I usually underestimate the storytelling skills of the writers, but if we leave some of the more childish aspects and make them work in a more serious way, we have, in fact, a pretty good epic fantasy saga with real depth. I think I will take my time to rewatch some cutscenes and read about the lore, thanks to your video. I'm really interested in investing my time on this world.
For real I recently came back to this game a year or so ago… The first event I encountered was literally about my character being depressed. I myself struggle with chronic depression and will for my entire life, and it was strange as now it was almost as if my character had been me all along. I’ve taken another break, not because I hate the game or anything I will always love this game… but I need to focus on my mental health too. I may come back every now and then to experience the glory days of my childhood. I meet my ex Fiancée on this game. Some friends I’ll never forget and had fun times I will never experience again. It was never specified that Drakath gave the people of Battleon enough time to escape from the meteors, just that they would crush in a week. And sincd the title is "nothing wrong" why did he call the meteors in the first place then? He only saved the hero because he couldn't beat Ledgermayne by himself and he only stopped Ledgermayne because she became a danger for him not the world. As for the hero killing humans amd monsters it is shown plenty of times that defeating someone in the game does not mean you killed them. Kezeroth, Xan, some chaos lords so if anything the hero is a cool guy. Also helping Sally who was an evil sociopath recreate a monster that wished to destroy humanity is not really a "nice thing".
True but Drakath isn't really the "Bad" guy- its all those that used him. I got back into the game today cuz i read a little of the lore. I changed my alliance to chaos straight away. Not that i don't like good but for now my alliance is with drakath. And Alteon was a necessary (good) king, though he could have just temporarily held the throne while training Drakath to be more upright and then eventually handing the throne over to him. I actually feel pretty bad for Alteon. Its sepulchre the nasty and Queen what's her face that are terrible. I want an Arc that reveals more about the trio (Alteon, sepulchre and the queen) and bring back Princess Tara😭. They should also do something involving Drakath
I think in all honesty Drakath is neither evil or good. Like in the games he is clearly aligned with chaos alone, which really is whatever to achieve his goals. The hero isn't evil. We're not exactly the holiest either, but we did GET IN HIS WAY which made it beneficial to turn us into the next chaos lord. I do think that Drakath thinks for himself though (Which makes for better writing other than "haha crazy anarchy chaos lolz") and that means if he doesn't want you to die he won't let you. Certainly not when he has other plans for you.
I killed thousands, and I call that Mondays. I take no shame in what I did. The "Hero" deserves to be the 13th lord. Their a true monster. But hey, your a god. Minding your own business, chilling and making the world go as it should be and some selfish crazy madman, goes to realm and throws the whole flow of time out of whack. The real crazy person. This video... Back in the days when Drakath appeared, I was sure I heard the name from somewhere. I was an avid Dragonfable player back in those days... You connected dots I didn't know could be connected, thank you for the video. Stay awesome.
The only thing i love about drakath is that his armor is the coolest and badass armor in aqw heck look at the mirror version of his armor too. Thats the only motivation for me to keep playing since 2013 until i get that armor. And now i got both the mirror and the original also the hollowborn too. Its time for me to rest.
To be honest, ever since I was a kid, I had a feeling that drakath wasn't really supposed to be the villain (especially since I saw him in the collector event). Therefore, I rooted for him and wished that a chaos alignment would arrive one day. And all of my hunches were right.
I've always had a deep love for Drakath's character. He's definitely (In my opinion at least), the coolest, most well-made character in AQW. Press C for siding with Chaos.

Karasu AQW mobile is a different game now. Yes it is the same, but will have its own servers and stuff. No crossplay. Probably might lower the PC players but hey, AQW mobile is a good idea.
@shiminuki okay what about Chaos Lord Khasaanda, all she did was She replaced her brother, Krellenos, as the 9th Lord of Chaos. later on she was Deceased, killed by Drakath during his fight with the Hero. She never did anything wrong. all she did was replace her brother as any loving sister would do and take a huge burden off of him. then she died later on while being chained up. She basically payed up for her brother crimes she didint even commit. Plz explain that one.
i was an og player since like 2011 or 2012 i forgot. but man you really solved all the questions of my childhood in 3 minutes! side note: i never got that far in the game parents didnt want to buy membership xD
I'm definitely late to this but I'm going up to bat for Lionfang, who I wholeheartedly believe is a chad. He's not a good person, but Lionfang is a beacon of honesty and all of his actions as a chaos lord help the enemies of chaos.
Yeah... Having started in DF, Drakath went from Villain to Anti-Hero, finding his own kingdom too. Crownsreach. Also apparently his full name is Dethrix Drakath II?
I swear, This is such a simple game yet so amazing. I play now for 10 years and still never bored. Finding new people and chatting showing of ur hard earned items help players or get help from players. I paid more on this game than i did on any other games. I would really be sad if this game were to be cancelled or gone into mobile... Hopefully before that happens i find a game similar to aqw.
Can you make more of these? I mostly played aqw for the story and having a tldr (sorta) for how the story has progressed post the chaos saga would be really nice.
Dragonfable player here. Also played AQW up until the end of the Chaos Lords saga. I can't agree with this. There's plenty of reasons why, but I think the biggest one is because that in Dragonfable, after (literally) backstabbing Sepulchure, he uses the power of the Ultimate Orb to fuse with Fluffy (The dragon destined to save the world turned Dracolich by Sepulchure). After he's killed, he provides the perfect "Doom Weapon" for the Mysterious Stranger to inhabit and inadvertently causes a near apocalypse, and by extension almost every single bad event past Book 1 of Dragonfable. Also, he was just a straight up jerk in Dragonfable. That being said, I feel sorry for him. Just a little. He had to work for Sepulchure. The only good part of that is the dental.
