Brilliant!. The WTFOSD team are legends!. I hope they can crack the range limit issue too. Awesome guys. Thanks for sharing this great video- lovely crisp footage and awesome flying
Is it true if I update my DJI googles I’ll loose my 1200 mw hack or I could loose the hack at anytime from DJI. I heard they put something in one of the updates that they could pull your 1200 mw hack or block you out. Everyone said not to update your goggles for that reason. Am I mistaking. Is it safe it update now.
@@jonestown1978 Totally safe to upgrade to the version in the video instructions. Plus when you install WTFOS you can add a package to the Goggles to permanently allow 1200 without the need to use the micro SD card method.
Glen thank's for sharing,it is an awesome hobby and so many people help us and as you say they do it for us for free as do you with your awesome video's they inspire so many to go further a field in the hobby (pun intended)
Excellent, thanks for the link to the instructional video, how did you get thelittle plane in the centre where the crosshairs would usually gp ? In the instructional video there were two red vertical lines showing the left and right limits for the OSD element which were quite a bit in from the edge of the actual image, your OSD elements are at the extreme edges, did you use an updated version ?
Select crosshair style in the inav OSD tab as Aircraft and use the Sneaky FPV font. I am using inav 6.0 preview version so can only think it allows use beyond the red lines.
@@bluefish3607 Thanks, I will test it on my Albabird this weekend, tomorrows weather forecast looks promising for a test flight, I will keep a lookout for Ver6 Inav availability 👍
@@bluefish3607 Sorry for not understanding. The sneaky fpvfont (4 files) are bin files. For uploading to inav OSD you need a MCM file, which i can't find. Were am I going wrong>
@@peterpaul100 Hi Pete you put the font files on the sd card in your DJI goggles and air unit. inav has nothing to do with the fonts you see in the goggles with WTFOS.
I am using V2 Goggles and original DJI air unit. Yes I am recording OSD data to the SD card then using the WSTOSD app to merge the OSD to the DVR footage.
I am using the V1 goggles and rercording the OSD data to the SD card then using this app to merge the OSD data to the flight DVR knifa-develop.fpv.wtf/osd-overlay
Getting excited about your video, I installed INAV 6 and the WTF hack. Flies like a train on rails. I just don't understand why the overlay on video doesn't work for me yet, I tried knifa-develop. I that the same prog you use?
Hi, it's great isn't it! I used the overlay tool at this link, I think your file has to be less than 1Gb in size to work knifa-develop.fpv.wtf/osd-overlay
Hi Silvio, I hope you had a very nice Christams and best wishes to you and your family for the New Year. The jet crosshair is part of the WTFOS root hack for DJI. The font in that video is the Blinder font that I prefer because it has the biggest boldest text and I find it easier to read. To get the jet you also have to set crosshair style on the inav OSD page to Aircraft. Here is the link to all the Sneaky FPV fonts if you need them sites.google.com/view/sneaky-fpv/home?fbclid=IwAR1dafK-QiGYkC8jy-JbfaO5esc46jWVftFFV-X3MmOztAngNtMMN71b8XE&pli=1
Does the basic DJI osd work natively on inav 6.0 / DJI 03 without the wtfosd hack? I didn’t think it was supported 🤔 Only need the basic info displayed, would just be useful to see if it’s worth switching over yet… Thank you!!
Hi Chris, The WTFOS hack is not currently possible on O3 air units or Goggles 2, it may of course change in future. An inav developer is currently working on a workaround to implemet a Betflight compatibility mode which will allow inav to mimic the Betaflight fonts and display on the O3 and G2's. There is a down side in so much that not all of the inav fonts or icons are supported in Betaflight so they are substituted with ??????. They are planning to have this functionality in the inav 6.0 stable release due around March time. I have been testing this with a beta release or nightly build to aid the developers by way of testing and giving feedback. Here is a link to a video that will show you the current state of play, the OSD flight part starts at 06:10 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lem8YkYMeJ4.html All that said I think it is inevitable that we will have a full blown WTFOS standard or beyond quality OSD in the not too distant future, I know there has been some development between DJI and the inav devs. For me and my proximity flying I can live with the current information as the quality of the image is stunning and far better than my V1's. I hope that heps Chris.
Hello Jesse, how I would love to fly in Brazil :-) Here is a link to my iNav 6 Diff All, I have made some minor changes to my OSD. You can ignore the logic programming which is only used on my analogue planes to auto adjust VTX power based upon distance from the home point. It is always best by the way to tune your own plane and not use others settings, but I hope it is of some use. Happy Flying. drive.google.com/file/d/1p5qe_WTClJ-z__8paxnS0hOgSrzqGBsi/view?usp=share_link
Brilliant video (as usual). Can't agree more about WTFFPV work. I bet many ppl at DJI must have some heartburns right now 😜. Are you using the 1200mW? If so, any overheating issues having the unit in the side compartment?
Yes the new OSD is really fantastic, I keep the air unit at 25mw when on the ground setting up and switch to higher power when in the air depending on range and environment. No problems on 1200mw in the side pod if the plane is moving even on hot summer days.
Hi John me too it really is fantastic and the WTFOS OSD on the DJI Goggles makes it absolutely brilliant. I look at my weather app almost hourly as I am so keen to get out flying 😀
Nixe video. I have wtfos on my drones and will upgrade inav and wtfos on my wing....this is amazing indeed. Did you say during your flight that the clarity was Improved? Unless mistaking...wtfos doesn't allow full HD and 720p is still the resolution you get in your goggle wether you use dji goggle v1 or v2 (only the new pro v2 avata allow.for 1080p and the v2 with dji fpv 1 allowed 810p in my knowledge). I read that with the sji goggle v1, you can switch to 60mb which I believe could bring some clarity (but cause penetration issue when not in the open...). Just curious.... maybe wtfos can improve the pixels and I missed an info ....
The OSD resolution is 720p as far as I am aware. Clarity is definitely better than any analogue OSD. I just installed a new larger font to make it hopefully even better as I wear contact lenses when flying as my eyesight it not as good as it used to be. I will be putting the new font up in my next videos. I am currently in Spain doing some AR Pro flying in bright sunlight so that should be a good test for the new font.
As I understand you are not changing the DJI firmware, just rooting it to allow you to install the WTFOS packages such as OSD, 1200mw hac etc. So if you don't want to use them in future just remove the packages and you are back to normal apart from the DJI system has been rooted. There is not any risk as far as I can see, but toi be certain you should contact the developers vai email or through their Discord channel etc as I am not able to guarantee anything as an end user myself.
With the WTFOSD upgrade on the DJI Goggles and Air Units the OSD data is recorded in a separate file and there is a web app that merges the two together to produce the video I uploaded.
How did you get 6.0 ? I installed the 6.0 Configurator but when I look for firmware, the latest is 5.1 no matter what FC is chosen. I'm using a Matek F411WTE but looked at everything else too and nothing later than 5.1 shows up.
Здравствуйте объясните мне в видеоролике Как вы настраиваете osd подробно пожалуйста Я начинающий Пилот Я немного не понял как вы это сделали на osd все эти цифры все эти шрифты, Объясните пожалуйста как можно скорее

I wish I could see osd, it just never has showed up. I would not recommend DJI based on my experience. Inav 6 or 7 doesn’t show anything. I’ve rewired tx /rx just to rule it out. There are zero resources to help on this. I wouldn’t recommend DJI just based on how little info is available. Very disappointing.
Setup for DJI OSD with inav is very straight forward. Connect to RX and TX of a UART, set that up as MSP Displayport in the inav ports tab. Then set inav OSD video format to BFHDCOMPAT top right of OSD tab. This is for DJI O3 and the same for original air units on the latest firmware. Old air units on older firmware can use full OSD with none of the limitations of DJI O3 and Goggles 2 with WTFOS which is another option. I assume you have O3 air unit?
You wouldn't have happened to have used iNav 6.0 on one of the Matek FCs that only have 2 hw UARTs where you have to set up a 3rd UART as a sw (softserial) UART to use with the DJI Air Unit, have you? They don't have the HDZero option for any of the UARTs in the MATEKF411TE 6.0 firmware. But there's an "MSP Displayport" option which some videos and github talks about. Have you dealt with this stuff? I'm beginning to think I need to give up trying to save money buying the much less expensive F411 boards and just shell out the dough for the boards with the more capable processors (more UARTs).
i just did put inav 6 and wtfos on a f405 board with 6 uarts. I did notice it did have a hdzero option under peripherals, but the mspdispaly option did work. Curious how much lag you'd get with a soft serial though cause sometimes it's laggy with a hard uart too.
