This is the exact 6 second mark that autolaunch default quits at, turning over control to the mode the user has selected, which if manual begs the question, where you at the controls?
Great video. Just making first steps into FPV and have Googles 2 and o3 Air unit on the way for a new build. You obviously have two versions of your videos one with OSD and one without. Is this something you can do in post? Just wondering how this works? I'm aware the googles can record as well so all a bit confusing.
Hi the DJI O3 camera records its footage simultaneously to the air unit in 4K and also to the Goggles SD Card. I use Inav on my flight controllers which provides a programmable on screen display which is recorded by the goggles and I see this while flying.
Hi there, I was right now in the middle of designing some parts for my AR Pro when I found your lovely channel. Lovely parts. Just a question regarding your FC cover. How do you mount it. The thingie with the two pins I guess just pinches into the body. But the front angle thingie is on one side glued to the cover but how to fix it on the plane because I guess you didn’t glued it onto the body?

Hi I ordered an AR wing pro and putting some parts together for the build. Do you think its worth getting the DJI O3 if im running DJI goggles V2? Or should i just go Caddx? Thanks in advance!
Purely a matter of choice and your budeget I guess. DJI O3 is great because you can record in 4K and not need to use a GoPro and fit larger batteries for extended flight times. That said I also use the original Air Units with my Goggles 2 and that is also great resolution for flying but the firmware to use with Goggles 2 disables the air unit recording, Goggles only. I don't think that applies to to the V2's tho. Any HD system tbh is amazing.
@@bluefish3607 thank you sir! Also, did you laminate with clear and then laminate color on top of that? I'm debating on buying another ar wing pro pnp on Banggood to have a spare. It's only $53 shipped right now.
The AR Wing Pro is a very good plane for long range. It has a large battery carrying capacity and with a hi capacity LION well over an hour of flight time should be possible. I do not personally fly mine long range and just have fun flying proximity no more than 2 km away generally.
Hey. Hope your all good and done some flying. Weather should be ok this week. Hopefully me and my mates get out for a fly thursday late afternoon/evening. Managed to get 211mph out my alpha strike. I now have the same motor on a strix goblin I have. Hopefully I can get that on the top speed leader board on the readymaderc page. Also ordered a new atomrc dolphin that should come this week hopefully 🤞🏻
211 mph wow thats really awesome speed, mind you that plane does look like it was designed to go fast! I have been mainly flying LOS recently, although not much of that until the last month or so as the weather has been really terrible in my part of the UK. I am toying with the idea of adding inav and FPV to an edf jet and also hope to get some flights with the T1 this weekend when I take a trip in the camper to North Wales with my son.
@@bluefish3607 yeh flying around wales would be good. I’ve not really done any flying the last couple of weeks really. Still waiting on my atomrc dolphin frame to be delivered. Another new model 🙈😂 2300kv cobra motor to fit, so should go not to bad. Dolphins are not speed wings, but should be a fair bit quicker then the standard. And yeh, the alpha stike is kinda like a dart in the wind
Bluefish can you show a close up pic or diagram. Just to see if i know what you’re talking about. You cut the red wire on the harness from FC to the air unit and connected it to the switch? I dont understand the negative to LED. I dont have LEDs hooked up on my plane yet.
I'm on INAV 7.1 with my O3 and Goggle Integra. While I get OSD, the elements are all over the place, but not as selected on the INAV OSD setup screen. I've tried to juggle things around by trial and error, but there seems no easy way to set the elements to the desired location.
Hi the LED board is a Heewing product and comes with the Pro version of the T1. You can buy it as an accessory on their website. www.heewing.com/products/heewing-t1-ranger-f01-rgb-full-color-driver-plate
Love this video, I bought a pnp version too, it flies superbly, been using a 1500 3s, but made an Li-ion pack in 2022 from Molicel P45A's. Do you think they'll be ok? Video is a Caddx Nebula Vista Pro, it's great, would like to run an FC, I have one already which works great, and an OSD in my DJI V2 goggles, but it doesn't arm the O3. I'll use the O3 in something else. Anyway interested to know if you think these cells will be OK? As for flying I concur, it's nippy, efficient, flies wonderfully and quiet. Best FPV model I have in flying terms.
Hi sorry for the late reply I have been away in Spain. I use the same Molicel P45’s in my packs and they are great in the T1. I assume you connected the O3 to an FC UART and set it up in jnav ports it needs this to work. I believe there is also a setting in the DJI goggles menu to disable the need to arm to get full power on the O3. Enjoy your T1 is really in an outstanding FOV plane imo.
I'm just setting up my AR Wing Pro and just wondered how you managed to fit the Turnigy battery inside the bay as the specs are 143mm long and the bay width is only about 138?
after a small tumble on landing with my ar wing pro (clipped a tuft of grass which span the model) - the included in the pnp kit servo went all loose and floppy like it had stripped gears.... this confused me on the field as they were sold as "Metal Gear" servos.... got it back on the bench and dismantled the servo to find only the last 2 gears in the train are metal - the rest are plastic - of course the plastic part was disintegrated.
Had a few crashes but never stripped a servo yet. I put PDK servos in my latest AR Pro build and they look pretty bullet proof and work great. I guess those servos you have should be called Partial Metal Gear Servos 😀 Happy Flying
Hi sir i wish you will be fine, sir i decide to make plane with fpv and gps system to work up to 50km, will it be possible, if possible than what will i need for such a system. thanks
Hi there, thats a question that has so much information required to answer. I think an AR Pro or ZOHD Dart XL would be good options to get started. This Facebook group will give you lots of ideas and you can ask questions, best to do your own research, its more fun that way. facebook.com/groups/704242724977479 BNest wishes for your future flying adventures.
I would go O3 as it will give you a much better experience. Whilst O3 does not have a perfect OSD it is more than adequate. See my latest Heewing T1 Ranger video to see how my O3 OSD looks. Best wishes for the build and maiden.
Nice little plane. Thanks for the tour in the van, very practical vehicle. I am wiring up my plane but not sure about about wiring of MATEK F411 to GPS, Air Unit, and radio receiver. There are only 2 UART to be used on F411. Are you using the Softserial for the GPS?
I wish I could see osd, it just never has showed up. I would not recommend DJI based on my experience. Inav 6 or 7 doesn’t show anything. I’ve rewired tx /rx just to rule it out. There are zero resources to help on this. I wouldn’t recommend DJI just based on how little info is available. Very disappointing.
Setup for DJI OSD with inav is very straight forward. Connect to RX and TX of a UART, set that up as MSP Displayport in the inav ports tab. Then set inav OSD video format to BFHDCOMPAT top right of OSD tab. This is for DJI O3 and the same for original air units on the latest firmware. Old air units on older firmware can use full OSD with none of the limitations of DJI O3 and Goggles 2 with WTFOS which is another option. I assume you have O3 air unit?
Could you please share all your FC settings for the AR Wing Pro - would love to know all your pid values and auto takeoff settings etc. Just building mine now and its so hard starting from scratch... do you have a git hub account or something where you save all your stuff ?
Hi Roy, with regard to my setup I would not advise using that as a starting point because my Wing is going to be different in all sorts of ways to yours most likely. You will get far better results if you use the stock inav 7.0 settings and then perform an autotune, autotrim and autolevel once you get in the air. I use the continuously trim servo option in the config tab switched on so I don't actually have autotrim as an option but it is entirely your choice. In terms of Autolaunch my AR is quite heavy at 1.65 kg so I use a 1400 idle launch throttle and 1950 launch throttle. In terms of the elevon setup I have about 3-4 mm of up elevator at 1500 neutral position in inav but a stock plane would be slighly less say 2mm should be fine. In terms of max throws I would aim for 10-12mm for a stock plane. Here is a link to a video made by my friend and inav guru Marc Hoffman. Although its not based upon the current version of inav, the principles still remain. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vdhg54bsiEM.htmlsi=ZmrkvnEc4dnGm6Ci I hope that helps Roy, good luck with the maiden and enjoy your AR Pro.
