Can't you purchase a firearm on a credit card in Sweden. Here in US many firearm dealers have "Shoot now, pay later" payment programs with a small credit fee.

yeah but in sweden, and many other countries in europe, 18" is the minimum barrel lenght for rifles on a swedish weapon license.

For hunting I can only use a 5 round mag. But I have piles of 20 and 25 round mags for when just target shooting. I do have a shitload of short barrelled rifles, like a full auto swedish K, or an MP5 etc.

Yes, in a roundabout way. Anyone can get an ar15 after a weekend course. But it would be for "hunting" purposes.

I recall an old anecdote of someone managing to get a SPAS-12 with a fixed stock on a hunting license many years back, and how Rikspolisen was livid at how they had accidentally approved this, going to 'check on him' very often. I have no idea if that story is true, but maybe someone else has heard that one.

@ Havn't done the tests fpr that class of calibres yet. Gonna chill a year or two until situation calms down a bit.

yeah, but this will be just for hunting so a clean milspecfeeling trigger will do fine.

Actionreactionsports sell a civvy version of the M16 you can get on a hunting license. 20, 30 or whatever mags are fine on the shooting range.

@ Alright, that's good to know. I really want that Colt 715 style upper receiver though, which you don't tend to see on A1 clones (as it's not correct). I know those exist in the US, but I'm assuming ITAR would make my life sour if I wanted to import it from overseas. I could just have an AR15 built on a license, couldn't I? I figure I could get a better barrel and better other parts as well.

Nej, gynnande myndighetsbeslut gäller. Finns en historia från länge sedan när Glock 18 (helauto) kom. Folk sökte licens och fick den för polisen förstod inte. Slutade med att de bara sa att de inte fick skjuta automateld med dem (lol hände säkert aldrig).

It is super hard to ship guns to Europe and that is because of US export regulations. Mark Serbu is shipping me a custom gun he built for me and it has been paperwork hell even for him. I do also have an 6.5cm AR10 from Heinel that I love. Very fun platform for pewpwing.

@ Seems I had a brain fart moment not remembering the international shipping issued you reminded me of. One of the AR 10s I build is in 6.5-284 Norma that has become a perfect match of AR 10 and cartridge with no problems at all to get the cartridge to cycle through the AR 10. My own AR 10 I hunt with in 375-300 WSM I thought during the building of it was what problem I am going to have making the AR 10 function, but it had pretty much just adjustments to be made to make it better like a 7-position buffer tube + 5.3-ounce buffer and extra power Bulfer spring to slow down the backward thrust of the bolt when fired. I am offering a kit with all of the AR 10 uppers I sell in WSM magnums with the 7-position buffer tube - 5.3 once buffer - extra power buffer spring when the customer gets their AR 10 upper it has taken any possible problems out of the functioning of the AR 10 upper in one of the WSM magnums.

@@Lure-Benson That would probably be a very fun system. Though I am fine with a .308 AR10, especially since that is what the Swedish military is going to use in the near future = surplus ammo and if the russians show up ;)

@ If the Russians show up you can swap AR 10 uppers to 308 from all the other AR 10 uppers in different cartridges.
