@@anninrobotics You are welcome. I appreciate that you keep making small yet significant improvements to this project. Too many FOSS/FLOSS/open-core engineers who build new stuff fail to refine their product over the years. Refining a product isn't as much fun, but it's just as important. I look forward to an AR5, AR6, and so on.

2 quick questions. Structural parts for AR4 and AR3 are same? I not found it in AR4 stl package. Second. STL files have low res. Especially places for bearing are not round but multi facial. If you are using Solidworks you can reduce angle toleration and Deviation in Export option. Files will be bigger, but contain more faces, so holes will be more accurate. Anyway great project!!!

Well, it's mostly been said already, but awesome project. I will start saving up to get this robot, and try to figure out a use for it.😜 Not that i really need one more then it's super cool. A question that you probably answered many times already. You mentioned in one of the AR2 videos that it had a repeatability of about 0.7 mm. Does the AR4 perform even better, since its closed loop? Would it be possible to have it 3D printing for example? Thank you so very VERY much for making this open source,🙂👍👍👏👏💓

Chris tank you for this amazing project. I built the ar4 arm everything works on the software except the close loop. I created two tab one at the beginning of the program and one at the end of the program. The software goes through each line of code but at the end doesn’t jump back to the first line of code. Any suggestions well be appreciated, thank you.

Just found your channel. Very nice work. Just one question....for now. What programming language or software did you use to build your GUI. I am in the process of building a GUi for visual inspection and defect detection. I am moving towards Qt C++ cross platform. Any thoughts. Thx.

Sir i have made one robot but it has a free movement of 5-10 mm at the end effector. I have used planetary gear box of 15arcmin backlash. Is this the problem? Should I switch to harmonic drives or there is anyway to reduce those backlash and avoid that free motion.

Hi there, Chris, there is a shortage of NEMA 11 and 14 here, so can I use instead NEMA 17 for both. or NEMA 17 produces high torque and rpm, that is why can't use them. thank you please reply

Yes you should be able to use any motor you like just make sure the driver settings are correct for the motor.

hello,my own robot has 6 stepper motors without encoder,can i use your software?and my robot has different length each axis,but i don't know how to control my robot,can i get your help?

I will try to make a video in the near future on that topic. I do have some videos for doing this with the AR3, with the AR4 you will need to change your DH parameters in the sketch file and turn the encoders off in the software.

@@anninrobotics thank you very much,i made a total 3d print robot with 6 step motor,my driver is a4988,i want use them with teensy4.1 and arduino nano as you do,i do not know about c code,i am very grateful if has a video guide.

first thanks for this project :) , second let assume i build this arm and i setup her like in this video ,,how to tell her do this and that ? like pick that domino and build tower from them ? like in many commercial demos they do

@@Personal-rc7cy yea i mean how to use external software ,not to learn it ,,,something like vex have building blocks or like that ,you know to set her up without moving her in program .with that we can set couple different operations and loop some ,,like run op1 then 3 wait sensor 1 to open then run op2 3x in loop ,,you know something more complex from learning it ,,g-code will be great too but was 2 years back when he say that will be his next thing to do for arm but ??
