i, for one, am glad he sampled those songs.. otherwise i would never have had the motivation to listen to them in the first place. it's not as if our generation isn't computer literate enough to be able to use the internet to find out the source tracks.. s/o to the dude for exposing people to new sounds and good music.

again - there isn't a technical way to differentiate between sampling and ripping something off. you don't have to respect this but you can't go saying it isn't sampling. it's a sample. he sampled it. look at my penis. also, lack of dynamic range is the point. that's why it's an interesting album

there isn't a limit to how long a 'sample' is. sample just means he used that piece of music in some way. he should have cleared it, sure - but i don't give a fuck what he calls it
