HuaHua took second place in the 2018 competition. Jessie J won. In 2019 he did not compete because he was busy recording programs. In 2020 he won the competition. MER is the roar of the bull in pain. Thank you, we expect more 😀😀

Yes, he won Singer 2020. Mer is meant to be the sound of the Bull. HuaHua is amazing. Love his own compositions the most. 🥰

Yes, you are right…. He considers himself first and formost as a composer and arranger, then singer next. He arrange his vocals as just another instrument.

@@deb9869 and THAT is the point with Hua Hua. No two Martians will have the same Top 10 Hua Hua Performances, as he covers so many genres, that his fans differing preferences will be there. If you even think of Dimash, many Dears will have very similar Top 10 performances. That's why it is so difficult to suggest songs to New people, until we know the genres they prefer. Having said that, given how many hundreds of performances he has, I'm amazed how few I will only listen to once. Him even thinking to do a whole rearrangement of some of his songs to fit a Symphony Orchestra, just hoovered up others. 😂Is there nothing this man cannot do with music? Yes, I'm a Rocker so songs like Aliens, Dust in the Fireworks, Flying Conductor, I don't Care are where I SHOULD look. But I love his Accoustic "Contra in the Wild", his 2021 Mars Concert "We are all lonely", "Perhaps Love" 😍, "Nanping Evening Bells" 😳😂 "Child", "I am what I am"... and on and on. All different. But all wonderful. And we haven't even spoken about the PERFORMANCE aspect. And then I go back and love his College performance of "I will always love you" and marvel at the raw talent... and the quirkiness that underpinned him for so long. "Musical Genius" is valid for Hua Hua....because he thinks outside of boxes and is not afraid to expose his emotion, and USE it to deliver sublime performances, which grab your heart.

I love your analysis! Hua Hua is unique. I love his music. Watching his performances is always living an experience. You can react to Qi Tian, Madhouse, Seven personalities, Ashes from firework, Aliens, Quasimodo's gift, When de whole world forgets me, Illusion and reality, etc. They are some of his own compositions.

Thanks for another awesome HuaHua reaction! HuaHua is a very schooled and skilled musician, he sure has had a lot of influences, but in the end his music is in Hua Chenyu style. His fifth and morst recent album is so surprising, every tune is composed in a different genre and it's excellent! I wish you would react next to Hua's song New World in Singer 2020 episode 8, THANKS!

when he first wrote this he had said that his normal amount of time to write a song is about 3 days often going without food and sleep ... but he said this took many tries and after around 1 month and over10 tries he finally wrote a masterpiece and I totally agreeHua Hua is in a class by himself

Like most songwriters, HuaHua works quickly at times, but he kept going back to this song for a solid month to finish it. He proclaimed it the longest he ever took to finish a song. You're correct about Linkin Park. He also cites Radiohead, Muse, and David Bowie among his many influences. And like Bowie, he goes onstage in skirts from time to time. I firmly believe he was born to destroy unnecessary boundaries, and not just the musical ones. Loved your reaction; it was enthusiastic and intelligent. Clearly you know your rock.

Thank you for a great reaction, I love this piece, it is so beautiful & has depth to it too. Among his stated influences are Likin Park, Jay Chou, Queen, David Bowie, Leslie Cheung, Muse & Radiohead. Every song by HuaHua is a unique journey, be it deep and philosophical, introspective, or just for the fun of it. His new album is amazing and I am so much looking forward to seeing what he does with the last track on it "Illusion & reality" Keep up the great work! 🌺🌺

@@JerisEve I cant remember him ever mentioning Handel as such, but he has several times talked about Bachs use of polyphony. But im pretty sure he studied the music of a lot of the classical composers

Good job on remembering more of his influences than the rest of us. Leslie Cheung was more than just an influence; he was Hua Hua's idol. Like HCY, Leslie pushed against boundaries and didn't care much whether people liked it or not. What's not to admire? (I'm writing this while wearing a John Lewis t-shirt that declares "never be afraid to make noise or cause good, necessary trouble.") My kinda guys--all three of them.

Hi Arab man, thanks for reacting to one of my favorite artists. He’s singing in fast RAP. Hua Chen Yu also being call HuaHua. He’s one of the most creative and humanists. Most of his songs base on nature, animals and humanity. He’ll either get you crazy or bawling your eyes out. 🤣 The bull fighting dates back to 711AD starting in Spain as in honoring the King Alfonso VIII a Roman Emperor, when he coronation to the thine of Roman Empire. Later Bull fighting in Spain officially banned in 2012. They fight the bull to show off their strength. The after the bull was kill the meat will be donated or sold to vendors. Or simply send to slaughterhouse. That’s Roman Arena for you. Either slave gladiator fighting or bull or lion. That inhumane entertainment from ancient times. Just imagine boxing, it’s just not as ruthless that’s all.

Mer describes the sound the animal makes. In English it is moo, in Chinese mer. By the way I have just subscribed to your channel. I have watched 2 or 3 or your reactions so far and enjoyed them so much. I recommend reacting to some of the other singers on the Singer show as well, including some you see in the background of this video, like the Chinese R&B singer Tia Ray, and the Japanese singer Misia.
