You are sooooo personable in your videos! I just ordered 4 of your suggestions. Tired of buying really expensive perfumes that don’t last. Thanks for your suggestions!
Gypsy rose was actually my very first Arabic perfume I purchased! The amount of % of oil in that perfume is fantastic. It seriously lasts for a whole week on clothes and more than 24h on my skin 🥰
You are so right about Yara. When I heard it described as strawberry milkshake, I immediately thought "not for me", as I don't like that scent profile at all. But when I smelled in in person... oh boy. I get a creamy and musky vanilla. I immediately got a bottle to use in spring and summer.
I forgot it was Saturday and went in to RU-vid I seen Olivia and I got so excited! I love anything she has to say about fragrances. She's inspired several of my purchases
I love Ard al Zaafaran Dirham Wardi for springtime. Beautiful pink bottle, sweet floral scent, makes me just feel pretty. And it performs in a wide range of temperatures. It is beautifully balanced between sweet and fresh, not too much of either.
Great video as always and excellent recommendations. Thank you, Olivia! 13:46 this is actually the best Ajayeb pronunciation I’ve heard on YT to date 😅 It’s aj-aah-yib in case you’re wondering!
Thank you, gonna order Qissa Pink and few other for spring. Its still very winter here in Finland, lots of snow so gonna use my winter ones little longer.
I am enjoying going on an Arab fragrance journey. The perfumes from this region are incomparable. The value is amazing. Almost worth giving up Western traditional fragrances altogether for their quality (and dupes!) Suggestion: I think it would be fun to do a video on vintage fragrances. I'm getting into them more. Currently wearing Tabu to bed, it's a strange and addicting one and 100 years old.
Didn’t the Europeans learn how to make perfume from the Arabs or people from the Levant ie they were the first to develop distillation. That is what I was taught. The Mesopotamians used fragrance first but perfumes were used more widespread by the Egyptians to scent their homes, baths, bodies etc. It is therefore not surprising that their fragrances are so good - they’ve been doing it for so much longer than anyone else so they should! 😂
Missing the time stamps but loving the reviews. Will you ever do an arabian gourmands? 🥺 Lol throwing into the universe a nutty perfumes video, too. I notice pistachio has been trendy but I don’t often hear about other nutty notes like hazelnut etc.
Thanks for setting it straight on Yara. I personally hate when people say Kilian's Angels' Share smells like apple pie. There is no apple note in it and it drives me freaking nuts that every perfume influencer repeats that.
Every nose smells different notes, even if they're not there, like I smell green grapes in Prada Paradoxe and it's not even an actual note in the perfume
Thank you for making an interesting video for spring perfumes that isn't just florals, florals, and more florals! I'm really curious about these perfumes as I find myself getting bored with the western high-end perfumes that dominate the perfume section. As someone who loves the spicy musk of men's perfumes and the spicy earthiness of arab perfumes, these sound amazing!
@@chandracox6814 if it was someone commenting, no big deal. But if I were a content creator, I would want my info to be accurate for potential customers looking to buy the fragrance. That's all... 🙃
@@chandracox6814 Sorry! 🙈 Maybe it comes from living in Germany for 20 years. (Germans are sticklers for accuracy). I just thought that for any potential customers who want to purchase the fragrance, they would want to know the name of the company.. That's all 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Olivia! Love the makeup look. 😍 So many options here, and so many I haven't seen others talking about. Honor & Glory and Ajayeb Portrait sound so nice.
Fragrance is subjective. Yara is strawberry milkshake on me. However someone else may get a different note to their nose. No one is wrong. Everyone is right in how they perceive a fragrance to smell.
Royal amber sounds A-maz-ing. Paris Corner Emir Warm Leather ✨️ is a Penhaligon Halfeti dupe on steroids if that scent profile is your vibe...i love it! ❤️
loooove Shagaf oud! Swiss arabian makes some good stuff! Next time you visit us in middle east you can try Lootah (love Silky oud and some oils ) and Anfas Alkhaleej ( love Barari, in men and on myself!) think of a meet and greet next time eheheh
So, for some of us, Yara does smell like strawberry cream. I understand that for some people it doesn't. I only was able to smell it when I put it on my skin. I'm sure is a skin chemistry thing.
Olivia have you ever smelled Infini Rose from Maison Alhambra? Its a dupe for Atomic Rose from Initio. Its amazingggg and sillage and longevity is 10/10
I had been following you on Instagram for quite some time now but this is the first time I bought something out of the recommendations. I ordered Ajayeb Dubai. Sitting on the corner of my seat now for it to arrive. Lots of love ❤
I absolutely adore that you make youtube videos as well! I love your tiktoks, but in these videos I get a deep dive that is so informative😍 Could you give perfume recommendations with tuberose in them? I am obsessed with tuberose and would love to find my signature scent. Thank youu!✨💗
When you showcase your perfume oils please teach us how to layer. Also any recommendations for full body oils to work into body care routines would be appreciated.
"not everyone is going to want a fragrance that reaches through the camera and down into your tonsils, ya feel me?" Great line!! You're so funny 🤣😆😂 This is a great video, you are so good at being expressive, you present and speak so well!
Hello this is LaTonya love when you do these kinds of videos on your Channel I am always looking to add new niche and designer to my perfume collection love your Channel
My dear Olivia, I've just found you (subscribed!), and would love to hear your take on my burning passions: vintages/mature, animalic and leather perfumes. Afordable if you can, cuz I'm a working girl and these are investments for my mental health😅 Loving your channel ❤
I would highly recommend trying Rasana by Rasasi. It's a bit effervescent, sweet and citrusy (think eating a coconut-covered lemon bar while drinking Sprite). So good for Spring and Summer!
Interesting. I was looking for different oponions on whether Sublime was unisex. I watch a lot of fragrance content And you popped up when I was searching the Spring
I’ve had both sublime and honor and glory by lattafa in my closet macerating for a few months and both are beast mode fragrances. Sublime is like a fruit punch gummy bear it’s so sweet and fruity, not unisex imo. Honor and glory is powdery, a bit spicy,a little sweet and unisex for sure. I tested one spray on a sweater and it immediately filled up my room and lingered for a couple days and is actually still strong 3 days later when you smell the spot I sprayed .It’s a newer batch from October 23’ so I’m waiting to get that pineapple upside down cake everyone is getting.
I wish I saw this video before I got Qissa. I had Yara already and it is nice but not a milk shake so I bought Qissa and was pissed because it smells so much like Yara but the dry down is a little better. Also I bought Ajayeb Dubai Portrait but the sent the wrong one. They sent the black bottle and yes I got my money back. I reordered and it is supposed to come today. Hopefully they sent the right one this time 🤞.
Idk if you own it or not, but if you do, I’d love to know if Mayar from Lattafa is truly comparable to Mugler Angel Nova, because I’m devastated that it’s discontinued. I don’t trust a lot of TikTok reviewers because, as evidenced by them comparing Yara and Qissa to a pink drink, they have no idea what they’re actually smelling and describe it inaccurately. But I would trust you with my life.
I finally figured out what the yara lattafa fragrance smells like !! So it’s not strawberry it’s a red raspberry scent that I’m getting. Almost like a creamy raspberry candy, but very light on the raspberry.
Hey Olivia have you came across a good clone for material a hundred silent ways and xjeroff dupes that lean feminine tuber rose lavender pink pepper vanilla sandalwood patchouli orange blossom oriental floral are usually notes I enjoy with a twist I know you have like a PHD in perfumes and since I’m just starting out my collection I’m in a budget atm lol so if you or any frag heads can think of any suggestions I’d appreciate it thanks so much 😊always ❤your videos your awesome
I wanted to try Yara SO BAD. I ordered a roller ball and it smelled like limes 🤔 Nothing sweet or creamy. Im wondering if I got a fake and should try to get it somewhere else.
