I really thought it would be different than i used to know (*Indonesia), but exactly close enough, except ocra/lady fingers & dry lemon (*we here replace it with lime leafs).. Arabic people using lady finger in meat n not in chicken

Quick question. Is Arabic curries a new/recent thing inspired from South Asian Curries? Or has it been around for ages but actually has a different name in Arabic. For example in Iran, they are Khoresht but some people call it Iranian Curry when it isnt actually the same thing. So would this be the same case for Arabic Curries?
