It was hard to find this film. I'm a 24yo born in 1999 and I had a memory of the parts where sinbad is playing for the dead and of the fat guy singing about whale island. I was just a toddler when I saw this last so it was hard for me to find based on ancient memories and the knowing the film was sinbad. Perhaps even it was a rare chance I even saw this film then!

Lord I remember this. Must have been late 70s, it was shown on tv in Chicago. They would interrupt normal programming over the holidays, fill it with kids shows.

This was made before most of us had been born, but it is magnificent. It brings the legend of Sinbad to life. Though I have never been a very good sailor, nor ever intend to be.

I saw this on TV in the 1960s. I understand that this was one of three films that AIP had planned to release in the US, the first being "Alakazam the Great". Ihaven't seen it years, and I'm enjoying it. Anybody else thinks the Sultan in this film, is like the Sultan from Disney's "Aladdin"?

The film is a good length considering it came out in 1962. Wish it were longer though. Very beautiful and well made, the Japanese.

I watched this on Betamax back when I was in kindergarten and this movie lingering on my memories. That "Buddha music box scene" on 32:30 feels so creepy and gave me a nightmare, I can still remember the music it played even though I'm 36 now
