I'm completely disregarding the books when I look at the movies. As standalone, they are masterpieces on so many levels. And the part where Aragorn sings this, gives me chills each time.

Even as a fan of the books, the trilogy far, far, far exceeded my expectations. Everyone said they were unfilmable. I expected something cheesy but fun. I was not expecting, well masterpieces like zaf said. Oh, I can nitpick the heck out of them and I've got some pet peeves, but long after I stop complaining, they will remain masterpieces.

Like zaf said, they are masterpieces. When Aragorn sang this song at the end of the trilogy, it sent chills down my spine. This song is haunting, yet beautiful!

@@grandadmiralthrawn5028 elvish is not difficult to pronounce (is a very musical language) but to understand elvish is. Unfortunatly Tolkien created just sufficient words in elvish to write the poems in the books, so the vocabulary is not so big as modern english or portuguese. Greetings from Brasil

This is not at all what I expected to see when I pulled up RU-vid today, but oh man am I happy it's here! My family and I just finished watching the trilogy again... the first time I watched it, I was a kid, obsessed with Lord of the Rings; read the books, watched the movies, great time. That song Aragorn sung at his coronation was one of my favorites from the entire track, and still stuck with me after all this time. Now there's this masterpiece, and I felt like a kid again for a moment, with all that nostalgia! Thank you!

Absolutely loved this, Peter! I really liked it being sung in Elvish. Really made me feel like I was back watching "Lord of the Rings, Return of the King".
