@@leonardostefanucci4106he didn’t switch to Seinen, he switched to the Shounen Ultra Jump Magazine where he has one Month time to release a Chapter. In Ultra Jump more Mature manga get released so i get what you mean by „seinen“
@@mrfact03s this was in 2007 during SBR though when he was doing monthly, he changed his pacing by this point so he didnt have to strain himself with such an intense schedule
If you didn't know, the reason she got the interview with Araki is because only people who are nearly as insane as him, can be within his presence for longer than 3 minutes without feeling adverse effects.
I couldn’t think of a better woman to interview araki than her. I mean the biggest fan ever dressing like jotaro it’s perfect. It’s like how jack black dressed as bowser it’s a sign that they care
The worst thing is that David production wasted an opportunity to make her Jolyne's mom voice actor in the anime, technically making her married with Jotaro. Such a waste
Yeah. They should have done that, like when they casted Charles Martinet to be the voices of Mario and Luigi’s Dad. Even if a short cameo. Making her the voice of Jotaro’s wife would be awesome haha.
I think it's very wholesome how Araki plays along with Shoko. You would think, given how introverted he normally is, that such a high-energy interview where someone dresses up and talks about marrying one of his characters would be too much for him, but no, he seems like he enjoys himself quite a bit here. Shoko also seems like a very nice and talented woman who is always thinking about the next big creative project. Her including her dad in her work as some form of guardian angel who is still with her through her cats also made me emotional ngl. Also, "Araki predicted 9/11" was not something I thought I would ever hear.
I personally find some introverted people like myself who normally are more reserved can kind of feed off of extroverted people’s energy. Like I have certain friends that when I’m around them I feel like a whole different person and all my introversion is gone even in public places. Her and him seem like they just have great chemistry
I knew her from a frickin' Pokémon character theme. Now I need to find art of theme's subject cosplaying as Jolyne. Hmm... or maybe Jotaro is fine, considering she's already crossdressed once in canon.
It was a pity that she did not sing the opening song of Stone Ocean anime. I had been hoping for a few years since I listened to her performance of sonochi no sadame
6:48 Even though it looks funny and cursed, I actually like the concept of Siamese twins in JoJo universe. They have a lot of potential in regards to chapter's themes, how their stand(s) could function, and even design ideas, something like hair or mask covering the face of another twin while they are not needed. Also, relationships between them and their capabilities using not just their stand, but the unique feature of being Siamese twins can be an interesting power to inspect.
Imagine they have a stand that divided into two and both power contradicting each other, like the first part able to push while the other pull something, they can combined the power to some degree and make it more deadly. The pull stand can touch an object and able to select anything nearby that will be pulled into that object, while the push stand do the exact opposite. If both stand part touch the same object, it can forcefully merge or separated that object in molecular level. Thus, they can use it to separate / merge themselves. It's not too busted, but with some creativity the stand user can be the most annoying opponent. For the example in the battle scenario, the push part touch its user chest as the object and choose the enemy left fist as the target. Whenever the foe try to punch the user's chest they will be pushed away. Then the pull part touch the kitchen knife and choose the foe's head as the target, they can launch that knife from distance.
On an unrelated note, I really really want the jojo magazines to get translated into English. It would be awesome to have such a niche magazine on a bookshelf and I could actually read it
I love how Araki says Jotaro isnt romantically intrested in women because it just makes me want to know wtf happened to have Jotaro have a child and marry Ms. Kujo. I need to know!
Isn't romantically interested "that much." My guess is, she just had the type of personality he didn't realize he was attracted to until he met her. My guess, based on what little we know of her, is that she was kind and gentle like his mother but also strong willed like him - most likely standing up to him when he said something rude. EDIT: After thinking about it for a minute, I'm gonna say Jotaro's wife probably has a very similar personality to Araki's wife.
I remember seeing comments of the interview saying she was cringey and that Araki felt uncomfortable and hated the interview but honestly? Rewatching the Interview, they had so much fun! Araki seemed to be cracking up at Shoko's obsession with Jotaro, and giveb it seems to not be the last time they've at least heard of each other, i think Araki really did enjoy and feel fine, Japanese culture is very lacking on the "sens eof shame/cribge" ublike us from what i see, so Shoko being so over the top and all that is just normal to them
This is an absolutely legendary interview, and I think it was actually my first proper introduction to Jojo (imagine my fucking confusion). This was before the anime adaptation, so I had only seen some random memes and redraws and Jojo references that I didn't even know were from JoJo. The only reason I came across this interview is because I was (still am) deep into the Pokémon fandom, and back then the Pokémon Sunday! show used to be the first to release news about the games and anime, so we used to watch it during some important announcements eagerly anticipating the news. That's how I got introduced to Shokotan, which introduced me to Jojo.
1. Okay but fr I woulda been the same as Shoko during that interview but obsessed with Giorno instead. 2. 8:42 The sequel we needed. 3. Perfect timing, gonna be watching the screening for Lagann-Hen tomorrow.
She is someone who pretty much wants to get scolded and be called a "bitch" by Jotaro, she's definitely like those high school girls who fight over Jotaro 😂
You can hear it in the way she talks, she's SUPER EXCITED. She got to meet one of her heroes and have a good experience, very lucky. Love Shoko's music too.
JoJo fun fact: Jotaro’s English va, Matthew Mercer also voices Hit from Dragon Ball Super. This gives a neat correlation with two jacket wearing guys who can punch real hard and stop time. Also, Jotaro learned how to move in Dio’s stopped time while Goku learned how to bypass Hit’s time skip. This gives a neat correlation between the two.
As a Part 3 enjoyer myself i would also would interwiev Araki dress as Jotaro and fan girling all the time Find kinda crazy that one of the few coments on Jotaros preferences is said here , in a weird way to , he saids he thinks Jotaro dosent like woman , as if he as an author aint sure even after finishing his hole cracter arc in stone ocean and thus after he created Jolyne Is a peculiar stament haivng in mind all the context Some may say is just cause Araki fells off whit Shokos love for Jotaro But he clearly is very cormftable whit her despite felling a bit embarsed by her being a huge fan Idk maybe im reading to mutch in to a small declaration but well is something each will draw its own conclusion on personal perspectives i supose
Gurren Lagann’s opening came on from my playlist just as I scrolled. I didn’t realize that she sung the intro and did a whole double take seeing she did the interview 😂😂
I've known about Shoko Nakagawa since watching her on Pokemon Sunday towards the end of generation 4 and the beginning of generation 5. Never did i think she would be so much into Jojo though that's so cool! That was a fun time it seems getting to interview Araki! It was amazing to hear so much more about her through this video!
Just like how Stand users attract each other, Araki seems to attract people who are just and strange and off-beat as he is. I didn’t know much about Shoko beyond the interview until watching this, but she seems really fun to be around, and very entertaining to watch. I hope this video brings more Western attention to her!
hey i had a question, does the flame thingy you see around stand users sometimes have any use. in the begining i thought it was just some extra flair till in the anime in part 4 i saw Josuke or was it Okuyasu having a blue aura around them while checking the boat if red hot chili peppers was in it's battery so what is it?
What a very talented and awesome Person Shoko is! I only seen the interview with her and Araki but never knew much about her works. Thanks for making this video! It was a joy to watch!!
