Arang Kel (اڑنگ کیل) is a village and tourist spot in the Neelam valley of Azad Kashmir. It is located on the hilltop above Kel at an altitude of 8,379 feet (2,554 m).
Arang Kel is a small village near Kel and located on the hilltop at a distance of 2 Km from Kel at an altitude of 8,379 feet. It can only be reached via a chairlift or hike, trekking through wilderness terrain for two hours. Chairlifts are supervised by army officials and the local government, who regularly patrol to maintain order during usage.
Arang Kel village boasts lush greenery everywhere around you, with no other forms of life visible besides plants and trees. This makes it an ideal destination for those looking for unique landscapes. Still, one must be prepared because accommodations and food are relatively expensive given its location, cut off from significant highways leading elsewhere. Nevertheless, spending even one night here will be memorable, especially under a full moon.
