We were first introduced to Araya's music at one of her studio sessions, where the British/Thai singer-songwriter captivated us with her emotive, dreamlike vocals and unique personality. Despite attending countless studio sessions before, this one felt truly special. Nineteen-year-old Araya was a delight to listen to and collaborate with, bringing together an exceptional sense of humour, a warm and wonderful personality, and a professional dedication to her craft.
Through poetic imagery that enchants her audience, Araya seamlessly blends folk, jazz, bossa nova, and a 90's-inspired sound into something entirely her own. With lyrics that weave profound and heartfelt narratives, innovative compositions and an ethereal voice, she creates music that is both deeply moving and intriguing, capturing the audience's imagination and attention.
Fun fact: Araya was the very first artist we recorded for a Groove Magazine Home Session. After we briefly explained the concept to her, she arrived on set with her guitar and left us completely speechless in the best way possible. This video has been our hidden gem for so long, and now it is finally yours to cherish as much as we do.
