@@dabdleCalled suckering bag of doorknobs TayChuck into an instigator penalty which “surprise” doesn’t exist tonight. Guess league is still upset at Montreal’s finals appearance.
The officiating is baffling this preseason, and is making me very scared of the regular season to come. Fucking yikes. First the non-call for the knee on Laine, leading to Xhekaj instigating on Pare, now we got a retaliation for a hit on Dach that's CLEARLY either a whiff, or just a 'breeze by' to send a message, and Tkachuk does the exact same instigator shit and gets off with 2 for roughing, but the initial gets a misconduct. The regular season is going to be hell.
I think Tkachuk should get no penalty. I also think had the Laine hit been called, Xhekaj does no retaliation and the would-be call on Laine would have stopped Xhekaj from that elbow on Stutzle
are you insane? dach never even got hit in the head on the first play, which prompted the habs to harass greig like toddlers all night for a check through the body that didn't even fucking injure the guy...then your meathead costco employee HITS STUTZLE IN THE HEAD with a chicken wing and literally leaves his feet. what are you talking about "breeze by" brother?? habs fans AND players have been playing victim and throwing fits all night long when we're literally the only team with injuries after this game. gimme a break, this is getting pathetic. go send some more death threats. awful fanbase
That hit was not that bad, there was less contact than the Dach hit. the Montreal player hit the gloves of the Ottawa player which bumped up into the face of the Ottawa player. I am not a fan of either team. I would like to add that if they diced the instigator rule, none of this would happening.
Everyone is talking about the hit but all I care about is that is such a sick move for a captain to do shout out to Brady tkachuk always liked him more than Matthew
Refs got the call right. It was a late and targeted interference. That’s about it though. Supplemental action would be stupid considering Stutzle’s stick did most of the damage. Sens (and Leafs fans for some reason) won’t like it though.
Because the knee on knee was clearly accidental anyone with a brain knows that and this was a retarded play by a retarded player hitting a star in the head in the pre season.
One was in direct retaliation immediately which was tkachuk doing it as it happened. Xhekaj came off the bench and attacked a guy period. Xhekaj literally threw a late extended head shot like are yall absolutely knowledgeable of hockey?
Uhhhh cause it is hockey and he already told himself that he was going to make the hit when Stuzle had the puck. Its hockey. His own stick caught him in the face
This is what happens when you don't suspend a player for crossing the line, this is 100% the DoPS fault. For Xhekaj there was no incentive to hold back because in his mind he thought the worst that was going to happen is a fine that would've been paid off by the Habs fanbase.
apples to oranges pare had to answer to his actions if yall dont agree hockey isnt for you this on the other hand isnt the same dont feel like he targetted the head he knew he fucked up thats why he didnt fight back if he gets suspended i wont argue
I love the Sheriff. He is essential. But here he was not right. I don't know if he had a reason or if it was a retort. But it was just wrong. He doesn't need to act this way. This is what happens when referees don't do their job or when they aren't consistent.
Greig actually hit him i the head, the sherrif clipped his gloves. The trash refs continue to turn a blind eye when Habs players are injured and throw the brick at them if they sneeze too close to another player. Trash refs in a joke League.
Arber with an interference-rub out and that's all...Stuts had his hands and stick up and wacked himself, and did a soccer dive. Stuts is an elite talent, and an elite drama queen. There is no place in the NHL for soccer theatrics.
Everyone watched this one video and not the Grieg hit on dach 20 min before this or the angle that shows he didnt make head contact. Stutzle own stick come up and gets his own head lmao
because Xhekaj was a late hit and jumped up and stick his elbow out during the hit. This one wasn’t as late as the other hit and is just the arm tucked in and a shoulder/shove to the chest with no jumping or sticking elbow out. If Dach was taller, this hit wouldn’t have looked as bad.
I don't know what y'all are seeing saying this was accidental. Late hit, flings his elbow out, gets him high. Xhekaj ain't exactly a clean player & continues to build that reputation here imo
i dont know if you can see but xhekaj never hit his head he hit his hands that made stutzle stick go into his face sure he could get a 2 min for interference but an ejection is crazy
Pre season and he will get another call from player safety ? Yeah Xhekaj maybe play 200 games in this league and is out. This head hunting has to stop. He was targeting plain and simple
looked dirty and it was. however fortunately for stutzle, xhekaj only caught his stick. still wish officiating was as “good” as they were with this penalty with the greig hit.
So I'm willing to accept that he missed Stutzle's head. and so? he left his feet and stuck out his elbow. Looked very intentional, quite a bit more so than the Pare play that Habs fans seem so sure was intentional.
They've been sqaying the want enforcers out of the league but then certain teams are allowed to bring new ones in, watch them deliberately attack players, get kicked from several games, yet still no suspension
Their goes the refs making the game I wonder want these ref would have done when we had the tough guys like Shack, Ferguson, Schultz, Clark the list going on .
Questionable because he has a rep, was elevating to try and get an up high hit, toss in the chicken wing and they had to toss him or the game would really devolve.
More than a second after the pass. Looks like headhunting to me (though, in reality, he tried and missed with his elbow). Did Xhekaj even look where the puck went?
@@ChrisMolyneaux93 he’ll be fine. It’s part of his role to enforce when the refs fail at their jobs. I’d be more concerned about that guy on the Rangers. Also, Tim Stützle needed to be humbled for his love of flopping and diving on the ice like the German version of Neymar on ice. Tkachuk is also the captain with the worst attitude in the league.
@xcfjdyrkdtulkgfilhu Sens play them one more time in the preseason then second game of the regular season. If someone else joins Reinbacher and Laine on IR they can thank Jackoff for it
no bro you got it all wrong Grieg had his elbow tucked and didn’t leave his feet making mostly contact with upper chest, Xhekaj left his feet, with his elbows swinging up and glaring out which you can even see the follow through of in the replay he was going for a full head blow like a pos, which if he fully connected would have done some serious damage.
"you dont wanna see this." so we lost Laine and Rainbacher and almost Dach... what we supposed to do... say nothing and losing guy we need in our team ? Ottawa does't play fair with us in the first period and the starting of the second one, we respond and thats it.
In the dach hit it’s clear that Griegs elbow is tucked and all the contact is to the upper chest, however here, Xhekaj is clearly headhunting bro. Look at the follow through with his elbow during the replay if he made full contact with the head he would have killed stutzle. You Montreal homers need to kill the bias and look with an unbiased lens.
@@expxnd5167 you’r boi greig play like a rat all the game, what did you guys excepy. We lose 2 player in one pre season game, and almost another one and greig know what happen. Xhekaj doent touch the head of stuzle i watch the replay in 0.25 like 30 times, the own stick of stuzle touch his nose. Thats it.
@@ChuckyDoll79 because Xhekaj was a late hit and jumped up and stick his elbow out during the hit. yeah, a game misconduct is for the rest of the game, not for the next one, though it remains to be seen whether he gets suspended for a few games for that hit
@@jeffreycairns767 The league doesnt give a shit about canadian on canadian injuries. Their directive is just to do everything possible to make sure the favored US tv markets make it to the finals, and that's for business reasons, not love or hate.
They're gonna be crying about that for years. But this was a non issue. Clean play by a clean player. Also Laine is made of glass at this point. Dude gets injured every season so get used to it Habs fans. He can go on LTIR with Weber and Price and give you some cap space.
@@lenkennedy9214Weber’s contract isn’t ours anymore. pare’s knee job was intentional, and why did stutzle have his stick up? yeah, it’s interference. and he may have jumped. this didn’t warrant a game misconduct.
@@General_Crock It’s actually Stutsle’s own stick that gets him in the head. Xhekaj got all body. Definitely late but idk if this is worth 5. Especially since Greig got nothing earlier in the game.
@politicalbandwagon4989 Uhh xhekaj jumped upward with his chickenwing elbow grazing stutzles face. Lucky it wasn't a direct hit very dangerous play to the head against a star player.
A game misconduct for interference and Brady doesn't get an instigator and a fighting major? How are they deciding things? Not the rule book. This is wacky. "Immediate contact is best described as contact occurring within a maximum distance of an arm and stick length between the puck carrier and the player delivering the check, at the instant the puck has been released." From the replay the hit was extremely close to being within that time frame, he also didn't hit his head. There is zero basis for the major, and even less basis for the misconduct. This isn't ringette and is not the way to bring sportsmanship into the game. These refs are taking cues from Toronto if they keep this up we might have a repeat of Richard's reminder.
Can't have your cake and eat it Hab fans you complained about hanging the leg out on Laine and Arber takes out Pare. But now Xhekaj throws a blatant head shot on Stutzle now what.
i dont get it, xhekaj hit stutzles stick into his own face, so not a hit to the head, yes it was late but just as late as greigs, so why does he get kicked out?
@@misterinsanity6980he poked his elbow out and grazed stuzles face. Dangerous play that could've been a lot worse. Hence the 5 minute penalty after the refs looked at replay for 5 minutes
Xhekaj should actually get in trouble for this. He didn't get a suspension for starting a fight with Pare, without taking his gloves off, but he DEFINITELY should get a suspension now.
He missed his head on accident and had to raise up a bit to target the head of a player who was basically standing. Kid has the mentality of the average NHL fan and needs to go. Good call.
I have a feeling this is going to be a very floppy season, and the refs bite on it every time too, so I guess why not just keep flopping and getting calls.
Xhekaj clearly meant to hit him but missed. Caught his arm as it was coming up which then caused Stutzle to hit himself. Not a fan of either team in this but agree with many that something needs to be done about the officiating. As I mentioned in other videos, If the NHL wants to be a BIG league then it needs to act like one!
Bullshit.. Stutzle had just gotten rid of the puck and Xhekaj followed up. Now, the ref, clearly said, that the original call on Xhekaj was 5 min for check to the head, Not interference. So they changed the call, to make sure they tossed him out.. And as for Inteference, angain,... there was none.
Uh.... there's finishing your check, and there's targeting a player who has already given the puck away long before you hit him and you have plenty of time and space to avoid the hit.
wow Xhekaj is fast becoming the new dirtiest player in the NHL. Two Game misconducts in pre-season games already! Xhekaj better keep his head up this year, everyone in the league has his # now!
@@Csimon2429 no, dirtiest player is that guy on the Rangers. Xhekaj is just enforcing the game when the refs fail. Grieg should’ve gotten a game misconduct. Also since Stützle is a noted diver and embellisher like some German Neymar on ice, my sympathy is low for him.
@@spencer2365 this is pre--season. There's no call for this shit in pre-season. I hope Big Z pastes this clown and soon. We still love ya' in VanCity Z!
@@dehavillandcanadatwinotter9621 I have sneaky suspicion that Français is your native language I can't wait until Xhekaj shows up in VanCity so we in act some unwritten rule justice. Because apparently the league is impotent.
Brady T is a real captain. After a cheap shot by hab’s toughest guy, Ottawa captain takes him on on flattens him. Still find it hard to believe they passed on this guy. Oh well, go Habs go.
If you target a team’s star player (as Greig clearly did to Dach), this is the natural outcome that will ensue as a result. Whether you’re a habs fan or not, this is the unspoken code of the game and any successful team needs a player who will enforce it to ensure other teams refrain for targeting star players. An eye for an eye.
It's not about what we agree with or unwritten rules. This use to be OK but Bettman has changed so much and this kind of stuff is going to be taken of the game. They don't want player policing the games. Guys like Xhekaj and Rempe have little competition for younger enforcers and they're not smart about what they do. Too much power in these kids hands and Bettman wants it to stop
is the league thinking about this event ? punishing Xhekaj?? tkachuk dropped the gloves but xhekaj didnt. I think they each man got a roughing call + xhekaj got game misconduct.
shouldnt have been any. and this defenitely wasnt game misconduct worthy. 2 for interference at most. zero contact with the head. minimal contact with the body. it was a glancing hit that was late.
I typically like the physicality that wifi plays with, but that’s a play that’s uncalled for, especially in preseason. Check comes way after puck is off the stick, clear use of the elbow even though he missed, and it’s just super unnecessary.
This is the hit theyve been trying to get out of the game since 2008. Blindside whatever you want to call it. Late, high, follow through, couple inches away from a concussion. Game misconduct everytime.
@@mightymo7687 he’s smart, just doing his job of enforcer. They don’t call him the Sheriff for no reason. We need more players like him holding players accountable. Ultimately this shows how bad the refs are, nothing is done about Grieg who should’ve been ejected, absolutely nothing happened to Pare for the dirty hit on Laine, at least a minor penalty for that. When the refs fail players take things into their own hands.
My my how the turns tabled. I can hardly wait for all the rabid Habs fans calling for Pare's head (among other felonies) to tell us how this was a good hockey play.,
