The last 25 seconds of the video got cut off. Nothing important was said! You can check this document for more examples and risks associated with arbitage funds. invescomutualfund.com/docs/default-source/Presentations-PDF/religare-invesco-arbitrage-fund.pdf
Ok, agreed Mr. Pattu. The fund manager is supposed to invest in bonds which are highly rated at the time of investment. However, as you are aware, over a period of time if these bonds are down graded (for whatever reason) the investor stands to lose, just like in case of the recent Franklin fiasco. How to overcome this problem after investing in such funds. Could you please throw some light sir?
Pattu sir, loved your video, can't thank you enough for sharing the knowledge...which people don't do...or do it for their own profit. i want to join Facebook group sir, is it still open. Please guide me.
Hi...Sir,I already invested stp through sbi small cap and mirae asset emerging blue chip fund, but i don't get any return from those funds.Because these funds are allowed only stp and sip not manual switching.Same period I got better return from other funds canara robeca large and mid cap and franklin smaller companies fund.I transacted manually in those funds when market down.so this reason i think replace those funds to any other funds who allow manual switching not stp and sip.But I confusing because of star rating and rank is higher both of those funds in value research and money control.and also last 5years return.I don't know why it..?So can you please tell me stay with them or ignore them and pick another fund like hdfc small cap, they allow manual switch option too. What is the reason behind they allow only stp and sip..? Thanks Thomas
Sir please suggest what is better for NRI’s, arbitrage fund or FD? FD is tax free and gives 7.3% interest with less risk compared to arbitrage. However for arbitrage or debt funds TDS is deducted at highest slab of 30% at the time of redemption. Please suggest.
Hello Sir, so is it correct to say that I can use the Arbitrage fund as one of the components of the Debt part of the portfolio which I can use for rebalancing if needed?
Relevant information as usual Mr.Pattusir. By shaving your beard you look 10 years younger. If you shave off your moustache you will look 15 years younger. Now the choice is yours.
We know that Renaissance technologies heavily used stat ARB methods. Why is it possible that they can reach 20+ returns but no Indian mutual fund can approach more than 7% returns
One general query regarding equity MF ! Do the AMC's have to pay ltcg tax on the profit made when they sell shares of a company ? If yes, then does that cost get adjusted in the NAV ? Just wanted to know if we are doubly taxed when we redeem equity MFs with ltcg over 1 lakh ?
