Hello Bino, since you made a lot of videos about the ISC UltraLink, I was expecting you would inform your audience there has been an Inspection Notice one week ago. I hope to get one soon... but it may take a while. Cheers :)
Thank you for the information. I sent a message to ISC because I am having an issue with my Ultra Link. I made contact on November 12th and was waiting for a response. Since your message here I found the ISC Safety Alert. Thanks again I will work on this. Take care!
Very informative video, lots of useful knowledge, are you up for a collaboration? Hipa supplies chains and parts for chainsaws and maybe we would work together to help more people in the community? I shoot an e.m.a.i.l to you days ago maybe we could talk there?
Hi Bino, so a question, what percentage of arborists would you say use this vs a double overhand? The reason I ask is this knot, while certainly a clove hitch, just doesn't look or feel as secure on stiff rope as compared to a double. You also said no stopper needed but I couldn't see myself not having a stopper. I come from a vertical caving background. Thanks.
When you say double over hand do you mean a Fisherman's Bend? I couldn't tell you what percentage uses this verses the other. On stiff line my not set well. It is not a requirement to have a stopper knot but if you feel more comfortable with it then that's the best way for you to use it.
In tree care, we call it a Fisheman's Bend. Have you seen the book The Tree Climber's Companion? It has a lot of the names we use for knots. @@macman231
