Near the start when you talk about WB and a sabbatical. One thing he talked about in a blog post is his work ethic (this isnt the word he used, but it encompasses many ideas). He writes thousands of words per day, when he writes he actually writes even if he doesn't feel like it, even if he is stuck, he just writes and keeps writing. He writes at a pace to get/keep at least 8 chapters ahead, so if something comes up he has a buffer to fall back on, then when it is resolved makes up the time. He recently completed "Pale" which was the 5th completed serial of a twelve year ish run, where he never had a break from his publication cycle. After completing this he took a few months off (sabbatical) it was his first real break in over a decade - though he obviously had individual days where he didnt write he kept his buffer intact and released chapters on time without fail.
