Arcade Cabinet Pickup - OutRun2! 

Thanks for watching! I forgot to mention something in the video, and if you look close, you can see it. This monitor looks like it had a vertical collapse issue in the past. This happens when the vertical electronics of your monitor chassis fail. You will see what looks like a flat line going across the monitor. If it's left like that for too long, it will burn that flat line into the monitor. If this happens to your arcade machine, don't run it like that for too long. Shut it off and start to diagnose the issue before it burns in the monitor. If you watch the video back and look closely during gameplay, you can see the line in the middle of the screen. I never knew this existed until 4 months ago when I set it up in Teknoparrot. Its a lot of fun! The music is insane so you'd think they would have invested in the sound system. I'd love to see more inside that...Chiron?...Chimichanga?...Chihiro system on a future video!

If I had room for an arcade driving cab, OutRun 2 is definitely one I would want--- very nice!

Great find and possibly one of the best arcade racers of all time! It's my favorite arcade game in my collection. Your first upgrade should be finding an Out Run 2sp disc and dongle or net booting. The later affords you the opportunity to play many Chihiro game however, the other racers need a different shifter.

I have never played that version in the arcade but I have the special edition of Outrun 2 on the OG Xbox. After seeing your post about the Deluxe Space Harrier which I actually have played as a kid, I also do have played the Deluxe version of original Outrun and oh boy the motion brings those games to a whole other level.

Hey Ralph totally agree with the sound you can even hear it on the Video! Which is kinda sad. I'd be curious to see what you think of "Night Striker" whenever you come over. The Machine for being developed in the 80's has amazing sound, TAITO did an amazing job on it. Strange thing is "Sega" usually does amazing sound for the games. Maybe cost issues was the reason for not adding it to this machine, but for me you always want a machine to Boom or Attract people to come over and play the machine, "Savage Quest" does a pretty great job with this as well.

Too bad you can't play that GD-ROM on a Dreamcast. Great find man! Congrats on the purchase.

I think of the 'girlfriend' aspect like the customers tips in Crazy Taxi. I am in the process of converting an extra Crazy Taxi i have into an Outrun 2. The harness and cabinet are very compatible. I'm basically done with the hardware and system, just working on cabinet graphics, etc. The Crazy taxi has a sub in the seat (kinda weak) but there is plenty of room to put a larger one in the base or 'sled' of the machine, under the seat. I might actually upgrade the sub in Crazy Taxi as well, that game deserves great audio too.

Outrun 2 and HOTD are your 2 best pick-ups imo. I would be tempted to mod it to play every racing game out there. Daytona would be my other top pick.

People always seem to not care about audio when it play a huuuuge factor in most things. Imagine the intro to Empire Strikes back without John Williams? or SF2 with shitty music.

I don't know about this cabinet, I have an Arcade 1up sit-down outrun cabinet that has 5 games you would absolutely love. Straight up trade? (I won't even charge you for the extra games it has)

freakin' sick! I know i've mentioned my outrun 2 story but yeah i own the ps2 version it's super fun! only downside is one of the unlocks you'll need to link up to the psp version of the game to get it, but a minor annoyance in an otherwise excellent arcade racer!

Hey brotha I got this arcade game buy its the duel. And we connected it but it shows connecting to network but pops up the error network. Or somthing like that. Does this need to be connected to the internet

There`s a modded Windows XP version (FXT) and also a PS 3 version .............. and these versions are the greatest ............... better than the original cab even ....... and even better if I am playing those on one of my own cabs with wheel attached .........oh yes

It's really tinny ... You can get similar issues with electric guitars when the impedance is incorrect - if it doesn't match all you get is treble. Manual drifting is the way to play Outrun 2. Shift down/ up, weeee!

Did I miss your pick up video for this Outrun cabinet? I thought you only buy "upright cabinets" due to limited space in your house. I'm surprised you bough this sit down arcade cabinet.

haven't seen that in a decade.. wish sega bring this to Nintendo switch including physical release with or without Ferrari license.. same thing with the dynamite deka series, spike out series and zombie revenge

Love the mod and the way it turned. I agree for all video games the music and how you experience it is just as important as the game.

Very good looking cabinet. Good idea with the sound bar! I played the Windows version (Outrun 2006) which is incredible. I will try to get this running on my racing cabinet as soon as possible...it's been on my "list" for some time now...

Outrun 2 is a great game, I also own one, game room is looking great.

Oh that's cool. I got 2006 Coast to coast not long ago on PS2. And didn't know it had the Out Run 2 arcade as well. I also picked up Out Run 2 on the original Xbox. Very cool man and that cabinet looks great!

A nice addition Ralph. I had a dual Cockpit outrun 2 some years back but then a chip in the drive died. Ugh... There was a workaround mod that enabled me to play crazy taxi on it too for awhile. Congrats on a cool score!

It's going to take some time before arcade 1up makes outrun 2 available due to licensing and how expensive would it be to have something that could emulate the Sega chihiro
