Arcade Fire news & tour info - / arcadefiretube Part 15 of 16 - Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies) at Rock en Seine 2007. Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, Saint-Cloud, Paris, France. 2007-08-24.
Pure genius. Indescribable. From the joyful performance of Regine, to the passion of Win, the manic energy of Will, and the synergistic performance of the rest of the performers, this is just pure magic.
Still watching this eight years later and, man, look at that audience. Just focused on the music. No f'n phones. As AF later wrote in another brilliant song: Hey Put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? And hey Put the laptop down for a while In the night there is something wild I feel it, it's leaving me
One of the best songs i have ever heard in my 55 years of being in music (piano player) I love how the audience hums the melody after the band left the stage. Great song.
And you know what, the song continues to sing it at least 10min after the show, when they go back to their home on the way to the metro, and the next morning when i wag going back to the festival i still heard some people singing it at a bar. It was something unique. (You can heard it on the end of Wake Up, atfer the band left the stage)
I've watched a lot of AF's concert videos, and i think this is the BEST performance they've ever done. Best Power Out transition, awesome violin/guitar bit at 1:00-2:10, Will at his craziest, and cool horns in the outro. But the fact that Rebellion is also my favorite song of all time might have something to do with that thought.
I love this Performance of Rebellion (lies) I love the almost two minute intro, the horn part where you can actually hear the French horn and trumpet, that part was may favorite part of all, I am happy that they give Sarah a mic now. now she doesn't have to shout. This performance is bomb, the One at L'Olympia is a close second!
I had the opportunity to see these guys live twice but I have never seen them live. Once, in 2004 when I was too young to appreciate talent like this and once last year, when it was my brother's birthday and I had to go to that instead.
I have seen many bands live Like Bruce and the E st Prince and the Reveloution Rolling Stones The Eagles The who I could go on , But this group gives value for money . Their energy and performance is unreal . I still felt their energy 3 days later
Has to be one of the rawest and greatest performances of all time no doubt! To this day since this astounding performance, haven't seen anything this amazing. Oh and when I meant "to this day" I mean in my 28 years of living!
As the Beatles saved us from schmaltz in the 60's, Arcade Fire has saved us from the pretty boys and strident divas of today. Rock 'n' roll may be in the minority now but it sure has some muscle!
tms6279 The Strokes (then the White Stripes) saved us, they changed everything, they killed the nu-metal, pop-punk, punk-rap, etc. It allowed many great bands to emerge and have success, Arcade Fire is one of them.
I know it's hard to hear, but I love the sound of the crazy horns at the begginning when it's the transition from noise to Rebellion. The trumpet/ saxophone (any jazz instruments) are some of my favorite sounds. Right up there with the Arcade Fire!
ive known about them since my big sister introduced me to them when their first album came out and my mom is just sick of it cos ill just plug my ipod into the car and play arcade fire whenever i can.... i never get sick of them. literally.
When ever I listen to them at this song, I feel like I want to keep living.... I hate myself. But they make me feel like life is worth living.. I can't find the courage to pull the trigger, and one day I hope I dont...:-(
