The song speaks of family matters but also part of the message could be directed at the music industry and the "snobbusiness" people who control the pop culture scene. At every music award ceremony we hear someone telling everyone how great a family they are in the showbiz world (Utopian family really). Quick to anger, slow to understand as Geddy Lee from Rush would say. A band like Arcade never sells out, with their new album They are now in fact crusaders in the pop culture world :) For many years now our youth has been fed with musical fast food and their brains are being saturated with "greasy" lyrics (meaningless) but some of them will check Arcade's dance party songs, some will think that this stuff is great and some will want to check their previous materials and then some will discover songs like Wake Up! When do we hear a dance party song with punchy lines performed by real musicians? Do you remember a smashed hit called Another brick in the Wall? That was Pink Floyd doing Disco!
