Im with you on that. This is the best side scrolling beat em up one, even the Simpsons arcade and D&D:Shadow over inquestria. If theres a petition campaign for this, ill sign up for it.
If anyone is willing to make a petition then I'm willing to sign it too. Spread the word people, we have waited long enough to play this game again. Give us what we want capcom.
+Chad King I would stick with signing a petition. This one game called "Super Smash Bros 4" I tried to spread the word for this one character to be in for a DLC but some are lazy, didn't responded and so ignorant. Well you can spread the word, the ones who are Aliens predator fans and get a petition paper ready.
In the game, San Drad, California (a possible mistranslation of Japanized English San Dorado), has been overrun by the Aliens, and the cybernetically-enhanced Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer and Lieutenant Linn Kurosawa of the United States Colonial Marnies Corps have been abandoned by their superiors and are confronted by a swarm of the Alien drones. Before they can be killed, the two Predators (A Predator Hunter and a Predator Warrior) appeared and destroy the Aliens. The Predators offer an alliance with the two humans in order to stop the Alien infestation.
I wish they used this as the script instead of that moronic Paul Anderson gibberish. Arnold Schwarzenegger fighting aliens with a hot female cyborg and the Predators. This would have been an awesome film.
THIS VIDEOGAME OF CAPCOM IT WAS RELEASED TEN YEARS BEFORE THE FILM, WE LOVE THE GRAPHICS OF THIS GAME BY THE TIME. A GOOD BEAT EM UP AT ALL...MAYBE ONE OF THE TEN BEST BEAT EM UP OF THE STORY....
Part of the fun of games like this is guessing what the developers chose to call the health items. Like that hot plate that comes out of the crate at 18:08 , I was wondering... sushi? Fish fillet? Nope, it was BEEFSTEAK. Hahaha I love it.
Epic. This is one of the best games ever- and you played it through on only one credit, with perhaps my favourite character :D. Thanks for sharing this mate :D ;D
Since AvP is technical property from 20th Century Fox, including Lynn or Schafer would have been an interesting ordeal for the liscensors. Granted, they're original characters designed specifically for this game, but 20th Century still has some ownership rights.
I love everything about this game! As of now, I have "Time to Hunt!" as my text tone! I would have switched between that and "Over Heat! Over Heat! O-o-o-over Heat!", but my phone wouldn't except it as a text or ring tone! lol! I'm weird!
It's a shame the video gets out of synch gradually, but it's still a very nice run =) Never had the chance to play this game myself, but it looks like a solid arcade game (and pretty fun with two players probably). Job well done clearing it with one life too!
Played a lot of beat'em up games, at least all the classics: Double Dragon, Final Fight, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, etc etc etc... Alien vs Predator, from among them, is by far, the best.
One of the most popular licenced-property arcade game produced by CAPCOM is slightly more different than home version was published by other publishers but won't have inclusion of later CAPCOM compilations (e.g. Arcade Stadium & Beat 'em up Bundle) due to licencing and original characters did not representate in later CAPCOM video games (so Dutch & Kurosawa is considered very mysterious characters, however can be modded through other games such as SF and RE).
Yeah, this would have made good story material, the APC you use is same one from Aliens, plus, Linn, her moves are Captain Commando's Ginzu The Ninja, maybe she's the that generation of Bushin - ryu Ninjutsu, and she's in Ken's stage in Street Fighter Alpha 2. I am so mad at Capcom for not adding in any of the crossovers with Marvel and SNK
I think the movies would have been much more fun if they followed this storyline instead. On that note this is still a fun game even after all these years.
Is this standard difficulty? If so damn you must get your monies worth when you visit the arcade. I live in Guernsey (English Channel Islands) and unfortunately we never had many arcade machines and near enough all of the ones we did have were old. Come to think of it I don't think we have any public arcade machines over here any more.
Me too, for this game is way better than the other AvP games. Man I hope Capcom think of us and decides to put this one on XBL or PSN, for I love this game soo much >.
Health packs are interesting - pizza, burger, pig....imagine her eating all that in middle of combat :D So stupid. They could put something like stimpacks, medipacks, some energy shit...but, hey, roasted pig is ok I guess!
Fuck yeah I would buy this. I have the arcade but the battery died and I've been demanding capcom to bring this game as a 20th anniversary. I can't even watch the gameplay because it breaks my heart that I'm not able to play it anymore. I do anything to play this again.
