An amazing sequel featuring the return of Terry, Andy, and Joe, with some nice new additions added. One of my favorite new comers in this game is Kim Kaphwan. Because Taekwondo is awesome. And South Korea is a fascinating country. And also, Krauser was an awesome final boss.
23:43 "Tell it to the men who defeated Geese. The strongest legend is mine" A group of men defeated Geese? If my memory serves correctly the man who defeated Geese and took revenge for the death of Jeff Bogard is his son, Terry let's not forget ladies and gentlemen, Wolfgang Krauser is the half-brother of Geese Howard
22:27 Axel performed his special desperation move "BUST YOU UP" before the power gauge turn to red!!! also he throws SONIC BOOM instead of TORNADO UPPER
It's super nostalgic watching this when I haven't played the game for probably over 15 years. I love the series, but once FF3 and the RealBout came out, I haven't revisited FF2. Some of the stages design definitely have a memorable charm.
The good thing for SNK that Terry is in Smash is it probably will drive some new interest and traffic from zoomers to their games, namely Fatal Fury/KoF I have always enjoyed SNK arcade fighting games, KoF, Samurai shodown, and from Capcom too, and imo those games are better than Smash. The platforming actually detracts from a fighting game imo, I prefer a old school 2d fighting game
I like Axel Hawk's stage the most because of the electric ropes around the ring. That would be awesome to see boxing with electric ropes that pack a stunning, but non-lethal charge.
Saudades de voltar no tempo e reviver essa época minha infacia terceiro jogo que joguei especiais eram embassados de sair o cara tinha que fazer certinho kkkkkk
I just noticed from Fatal Fury Special that looked different from Fatal Fury 2. I did beat Special today as Terry Bogard, I did noticed the tutorial had Geese Howard instead of Andy Bogard, Terry's Ending Image is way different, some of the dialogue were way different (like when Mai meets Terry that she meets him as Andy's brother), I don't think they showed Michael Max nor Hwa Jai when Krauser defeats them nor showed off a photo of all five of them gets defeated by Krauser, the in-game models and character select portraits replaces the still models from challenge, and the bonus stages are missing in Special as well.
The backgrounds have changed too, it's mostly small details like Jubei Jamada's pictures or different people (and sheep!) in Big Bear's crowd. Always nice to compare!
What kind of hair tie is Mai wearing and would it be possible to get that style of dress she has? Also, would high heeled sandals go well with her tabi socks?
Would have liked to have seen all of Terry's moves utilized...was cool to see the Power Geyser, but the Crack Shot and the Rising Tackle were noticeably missing =P
+Ryan Davidson ever since after 3D game products dominated the market, there's no turning back. unless you're to create games of non console platform (all game console are equipped with 3D video processor, there fore no more 2d production )
@@deadlyraver4454 My calendar wouldn't work on the emulator I was using so it said Geese Howard died on January 0th, 1900, which I thought was really amusing
