great game and music. very hard though, it was obviously designed for money munching, and more so in 2 player mode. Hat's off to the above player who completed with no lives lost.
There's some hidden songs that are remixes of dragon spirit,hold both shoot and bomb button and press start to activate the omake songs (it will skip the transformation scene btw)

for some reason the sound card that namco used for there namco system 2 arcade system board which im talking about shinji hosoe's dragon saber score the same guy who wrote the dragon spirit arcade version score sounded more like a pc-engine cd rom game ost which is strange how this game never got a pc-engine cd rom port like the original dragon spirit that got a pc-engine port but not dragon saber lol and is it just me or does the sound effect of the dragon roaring when you insert a coin sounded alot like the roar sound effect from konami's haunted castle arcade game which i could be wrong though lol
you know is it just me or does the boss designs in this game looked downright frightening they give me the creeps and i wouldve been traumatized and get nightmares from playing this game which i was only 4 or 5 years old when this game came out in 1990 and i can confess that i never played this game when it came out so don't ask me why which again if i played this game when it first came out from my 4 or 5 years old mindset i wouldve been scared out of my mind from playing this game much like how i got trumatized and scared by the blood and gore from playing the super nintendo port of mortal kombat 2 when i first rented that game from blockbuster back in 1994 when i was 9 years old which i can't explain why so again don't ask why i was just a simple child of the 90s born in 1985 who didn't understand about video games from the early 90s that contain dark mature contant especially dark in tone games like say super metroid or demon's crest and also my mother and my father let me get away of playing violet video games back in the early 90s including watching tales from the crypt and terminator 2 judgement day on hbo back in the early 90s along with other gritty violet movies and shows that my father and mother didn't get so overprotective of not letting me play dark violent video games or watching violent movies and shows like most overprotective parents which was back in a time when movies,shows,games and music were getting dirty and violent that we all know at that point cause a uproar with parents not allowing kids to play violent video games or watch violent movies and shows or listen to exploit music but luckily for me my parents were never like that they were more carefree then most parents back in the day so long story short and i said before and i'll say it again don't ask lol
@@rainwizard Eh... Gynoug is ok, but if you want full-on body horror, you have no further than to look for a long play of Abadox for the NES. Another suggestion would be Magician Lord for the NeoGeo (where the big bad literally does the bidding of AZATOTH!)
Nec should have got this on there 32bit last console pc-fx! It had all the graphical power the arcade had and more!!! Look it up to see pc-fx show off it's 2d powerful arcade graphics!!!
I thought at first, this (or Dragon Spirit) was an arcade game I was trying to remember the name of, but I don't think it is. It was medieval themed, it was a vertical shooter, where your character either moved around or was essentially stationary at the bottom of the screen (like Space Invaders), and the end boss monsters would appear at the top of the screen. That's about all I can remember! Any help? This was probably sometime in the very late 80s or early 90s, and I never saw it at an arcade - I played it at one of my local bar/restaurants when my family would go there to eat...
Some of the level designs look really great, some not so much, and some are totally derivative of Dragon Spirit. I am unsure of the differences between some of the different shots, and the sound when you shoot is awful. The "standard" shots, powered up or not, look terrible too. I think it might be a pretty good game on its own, but as a sequel to DS, it's kinda disappointing, similar to how I feel about Shadow Dancer vs. Shinobi.
