I played this game a lot as a kid in an arcade nearby where i live. I remember that out of the 20 records in the ranking i had my name with like 12 characters at least. Once i made a record with my main Paul only using kicks and completed it in less than 3 minutes!
A masterpiece. No doubt. In Tekken 5 for PS2 you can play the arcade version of Tekken 3 including Tekken 1 and Tekken 2 and Starblade. That's why I enjoyed Tekken 5
Perhaps the peak of the franchise musically speaking: it's such a rarity for a fighting game to have nearly EVERY single character have fantastic tracks. Incredible music still to this date.
I remember they had this cabinet for a while at my local mesquite grill. I used to just watch the attract mode while waiting for Mom or Dad to call me when the food was at the table. Yeah, I was too chicken-shit to actually try playing it back then. I'd probably get my @$$ kicked.
May not look it to people noe, but this game was almost as big a deal as when the first 3 MOrtal kombats hit arcades, or all the Street Fighter 2's and the 3rd games. Dudes were on this game in the arcade like crazy. ^~^
The helicopter in king's stage doesn't exist, neither here or the PS1 version. I do believe the arcade version of tekken tag has it but I'm not sure. Does anyone verify this?
I LL ALWAYS CHOOSE HWOARANG, Hwoarang in tekken 3,4,5 King of Fighters, Mortal Kombat, in Marvel vs Capcom, Guilty Gear. Even in Gran Turismo i used to unlock Hwoarang
