Great video! My only suggestion would be to cut your simple green. Looks like you are using concentrated. I work in a machine shop and we cut it to 10/90. 10 parts simple green to 90 water (we have filtered water). Saves money on simple green. Thanks for the video!

Most people think anything electronic that gets wet is ruined wether powered on or not lol and do not understand just water will not make electronic components rust or cause corrosion. i remember hearing of some people actually running them through and old dishwasher and ones of using an oven on low to dry them out.

A good tip is to face a fan towards the wet chassis. Doesn't need to special, almost any fan will do. When moisture evaporates, it creates a region of higher humidity air right above the moisture, and since humid air is heavier than the surrounding air it just sits there slowing evaporation, needing to slowly diffuse into the surrounding air before more can evaporate. By adding a fan, it constantly pushes that higher humidity air out the way, allowing the moisture to evaporate more easily. It significantly reduces drying times.

Nice. I now have slight envy of your deep large sink and spray hose.

B E A utiful. Same way I clean all my chassis. I leave them out in the sun in the summer time and on the heat register overnight this time of the year to dry.

Hello Mike! Do you have any experience with kortek 3414DF? I would love to learn how to completely over haul them.

I see some of the caps in the parts list have voltage specs over 100V. Do I need to take care to discharge them before handling the chassis board, or do they naturally drain?
@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair
@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair 2 года назад
They discharge upon powering down the chassis. The G07 is the only chassis I've ever seen that you need to manually discharge the filter cap, but it's also not an auto-discharging chassis like most of them are.

The G07 was always the arm biter, i cant remember if the early wg k4600s or if it was models earlier that could also bite you, you learned the lesson real quick to respect the G07 lol. Wg k7000s and neotecs i generally trust but still screwdriver it just incase, they can still hold a tiny bit at times but not enough to do anything but give you a little scare lol

Mike, do you think there could be impurities from the tap water that could be left on the chassis?
@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair

No. Nothing that would do anything to damage it in any way.
