Yeah it looks really dope. This is when I wish that A1Up would sell the panels so that no one has to invest another $500 but it is what it is. Now about this project...
Arcade1up should have arcades custom built on their website. Made. Then sent our ro it's customers so every cab will match what consumer is looking for.
Such a sellout while talking junk about 1up You know its a big blue reskin. They gave it to you for free to keep quiet on bashing 1up. He's a thief all the way around especially the fox ripoff intro. See through this man please
Looks nice, Fox. I like the art of the original cabinet more, but for the price difference (and without an RC Wiley nearby), I think the X-Men ‘97 Deluxe is a nice option. Still wish they had done it in the Dynamo form factor though.
You know I never really thought about it until just now, but with the whole.thing where A1U used to only have 1 speaker, msot arcsde games are mono sound anyway, just with a split tweeter and woofer. Thats obviously not the case with Naomi or CPS2 (Q Sound) games, but all the MKs, Pac-Man, etc., are mono audio.
If I remember correctly there was an X-Men side scrolling beat em up arcade game--similar to TMNT. I thought this was the cabinet for that side scrolling adventure, until you said it was just special packaging for Marvel vs Capcom 2.
Don’t know the purpose of buying this if you have the marvel Vs capcom 2 arcade 1 up it comes with the same games are people collecting the artwork cabinet which makes no sense
@@19kfox if it included marvel Vs capcom 3 and ultimate marvel Vs capcom 3 marvel Vs capcom infinite then it’s worth the upgrade but for the same games and what disappointing me is the Super Nintendo games add the punisher instead
@@19kfoxyes I did watch until the end you do have original arcade machines as I do but I’m no longer going to buy arcade machines cause they break and never stop breaking arcade 1 up I trusted them so so far not one of theirs broke on me if you want to know why the price is $100 cheaper it’s simple it’s the artwork difference but the reason I bought this marvel Vs capcom 2 was cause marvel Vs capcom 2 breaks consoles like the PS2 PS3 original Xbox now with marvel Vs capcom 2 arcade 1 up I get also the original rom and I get X-men Vs street fighter marvel super heroes Vs street fighter playing the way their meant to be played if you loved the PSX that’s up to you the PSX was trash the only one that came out perfect was marvel Vs capcom thanks to the Dreamcast Sega saved America from loosing classic fighting games and Sega Dreamcast was the only console that never broke if you played marvel Vs capcom 2 the PS3 was the worst it breaks faster then the original Xbox
When i think X-Men 97 arcade, i think of the X-Men arcade by Konami. Maybe even a Disneyfied version of that arcade at worst. I keep getting surprised that its Marvel vs Capcom, for some reason.
I wish the splash screen was changed to the Kith version where it shows magneto and the X-Men, that seems like a more proper X-Men themed touch to it...
Recently finished the original animated series and finished the new one last night. It was freaking awesome. Wasn’t a huge fan of cyclops until this show. It was the best portrayal of him ever. He was badass.
Thank you for the video! This is the first cabinet ive ever bought from Arcade 1up. I keep having an issue where when i turn it on sometimes it loads in just fine. Then other times i get stuck on the loading screen til i turn it back off. Ive heard some say its a faulty PCB but it still works half the time. Not sure if there's anything i can do to fix this issue, hoping i dont get to the point where it doesnt power on at all.
Great review battle, but I am going to pass on this one! Yes, I have an MVC2 cab, but there is no nostalgia for this cab. Plus, the game lists are still the same, but if I choose to mod a cab this would be first on the list!
Just a slight complaint about your video: that metal chime sound effect in the background is REALLY annoying. Please tone it down, or better yet, just get rid of it all together. Super distracting for OCD folks like myself. 'Kay. Thanx. Bye.
They have to get rid of those buttons...they are aweful. Lets be real, you can replace them for so cheap, but we shouldnt have to. Sanwa and quality buttons should be the standard in ALL of their cabinets going forward. I personally own 3 of these Arcade1up machines. At first I loved them, then found myself modifying every last one of them. I am thinking about selling the lot of them and just getting a single real, full size cabinet and tossing and LED in it and just being done with the whole thing. I see cabinets on sale locally all the time sometimes for free as long as your willing to pick them up. I dont even need a working one, im replacing everything anyways. I see I can make customer Vinyl for them online as well, so might as well just have a single real machine and load it with 12k roms and just be done with it. Then its no longer me leaving it up to arcade1up to make something we can all agree is an actual arcade machine.
Am I wrong to quibble with calling the trim on 1UP cabinets t-molding? If 1UP survives, could future form factors include real plastic t-molding? That would make for a nice incremental upgrade several iterations down the line that helps sell a functionally identical cabinet to the same customer base over and over again. Smart. I've done some real t-molding on 1UP cabinets and its a pretty sharp upgrade.
i dont think the extra sandwich wood piece is necessary but i do think it helps it structurally making the deck more solid overall.... the screw covers on the deck are a nice add but could have been a greyish like you said......
