I love Arcane except one glaring issue, which is arcane explosion. For the love of god just make this spell not melee range! Just turn into into a 25ft frontal cone similar to Evoker Fire Breath or something! The rotation of Arcane is fun and rewarding when you get it, but having to stand in melee range makes it feel so much worse and for no reason. There are so many ways they can change that one spell or just replace it with something to not force melee range. So frustrating!
Arcane has always been my favourite spec. I just wish they would make Presence of Mind how it used to be. I love running around instant sheeping people. It makes you feel like an actual powerful sorcerer.
I think it may be worthwhile to take your points out of arcane debilitation and put them into enlightened and aether attunement. Echo'ing a +100% damage arcane missiles with magi's spark seems pretty strong for funnel!

I know we have got a lot from arcane and v excited to play it but I hope they change those splinter animations when they form above your head because they look not great xD
you could use a /castsequence macro but it would be too tempting to spam the button. i dont think there's a way to force a channel spell to complete while spamming a macro with a channelled spell in the sequence.
You can do /stopmakro [channeling] in front of other abilities or edit cast conditions to /cast [@target, nochanneling] but this will just prevent you from canceling missiles and not automatically queue another spell. You also should cancel missiles at the last sliver of the cast bar s.th. the last missile spawns but you already are doing something else.
Are all specs gonna be aoe specs in TWW? I haven't really been following but it looks like everything does aoe damage now. Are we all going to be cleaving in the middle of the map pve style?
Chrono shift is easy to get- even with your build. You have the talent point in the “5% arcane explosion/blast damage” which is entirely useless- as you demonstrated you’re almost never casting arcane blast, and the static cloud talent more than makes up for it.
Blizz could remove some of the knobacks/micro-CC/slows in the game by casters, since most have huge mobility, don't need to stand still while casting and big (broken) shields. Retail is just a melee hell overall and TWW seems it will only makes things worse.

@@brandonzimmer1514 Yes Mana is still a thing but it is now much smoother than in previous expansions since you now have basically 2 spells which give you access to a new Mana Bar, Shifting Power to reduce your cds and some other mana talent options.
I really like the mechanics, BUT the splinters looks like made of cotton candy. 😭 Can't believe blizzard missing another oportunit to give some lightning flavour to arcane. Make the splinters solid and sharp purple crystals with blue lightning around. Blue crystals and purple lightning for Frost. In the same way, Arcane Missiles/Blast/Explosion can just have some crackling energy when hit the target. But Arcane Barrage was the first missing opportunit to give a Arcane Lightning spell, call down purple/blue lightning bolts instead of spyrals bolts. Arcane mage energize the target, and gain arcane charges, until make them a conduit to finish with Arcane Barrage. Even Chrono Shift makes more sense with it, cause if a lightning strikes you, at least you will be dazed. 🥲
