@@salmancemkoc As far as gear goes, the build works on any class with a good defensive kit. If you're running 42k health like he is, your polar winds will keep you nice and topped up.
I apologize for that. The original recording was fine but during the export of the video something was happening that created that noise. I wasn't hearing any of that during editing. Whatever it may be has seemed to fixed itself for my more recent videos however :)
@@CJ-wc5lbdon’t listen to the other guy. It is very very good. Every proc arcs and their mother runs it for duels. The pressure they have with tankiness is absurd.
great build and build vid with some very in depth and easily understood explanations, iv been tootling about on a 1bar bashblade that im really enjoying and this looks like it could be lots of fun too, i was already going to make 2 arcanists anyway 1 for tank and dps and 1 for heal and dps so this looks like an ideal build to slap on the dps slot of my tank, cheers for the vid its much appreciated the time and effort u put in
That's exactly what I'm doing with my arcanists, 2 different characters, one as a tank and survivable dps, the other a healer and more glass cannon dps :)
@@VENOMSURGE iv never been a fan of or good enuff to play glass cannon builds myself in eso or any game with the exception of guild wars 2, necromancer and mesmer had some awesome glass cannon builds that totally defied the fragility of a typical glass cannon lol
Haha embrace the Bash The blue cp dmg passives (DA,MAA) do increase bash dmg and the one wich heals you for a % of direct dmg is also nice. Put the keybind for interrupt on you’re mousewheel
Looking over the abilities while I am leveling, I thought this class would make a crazy good tank, but I never thought it would amount to this lol. Also, as much as I like the Laser Beam of Death, I was curious if there was a build that doesn't use it. I would love to build this. Thank you for the build!
I am currently working on a dps that doesn't use the beam, although it does miss out on how hard you are hitting just because it is such a powerful skill. Hopefully soon that vid will be ready, currently working on fixing up my rotation :)
@@VENOMSURGEey great build & video - but what addons give you the live contemporaneous in the moment readouts of incoming and outgoing damage and healing/mitigation? I used to use it but I had to totally redo my hard drive etc and I can’t find which addon does that anymore (& are there special settings you need to activate to get it to work like that?) ALSO what add-on are you using that gives you the icons of buffs and debuffs stacked so neatly and readably on each side of the bottom of your screen for both you and your opponent? I’ve been looking for this info for months without success. The addon I use spreads them out and puts them in hard to read places and I tried to readjust the positioning and frames of the readouts and failed. Please help me out! 😂😭🙏🏽
@iPhones-eb9cz the main app i use to install the addons is minion (if you aren't using that yet). The live numbers of incoming/outgoing dmg/heals is called "Lui Extended", the creator is from ArtOfShred. That addon is also the one that moves your resources into a single block and moves everyone's buffs to a nicer setup. There is a setting that lets you take permanent buffs and move it to the side of your screen out of the way so it doesn't mix with combat buffs. :)
You should try tremorscale with this build. It comes with a nice aoe damage proc that scales off of your resistances and also reduces the armor of everyone hit by like 3k. With almost 50k resists your proc would probably hit pretty damn hard lol
I love it when folks like you get creative in theorycrafting unique builds! This combo of defense and offense is intriguing. Do you think there's any way to run Oakensoul with this and keep it viable? I've been challenging myself in PvP lately by only running Oakensoul... seeing what builds work and which fall apart. This would be an amazing build to run 1-bar if you think it's doable 🙂
Three skills I'd definitely keep are pierce armor, runic sunder, and the lucid mind ward. those will let you debuff the enemy and give you your survival. you will want some sort of heal for the 4th slot. and for the 5th Power bash is optional, it will help you do more burst damage, or you can replace it with another heal/debuff
Sir, thank you very much for this build. I have built this few weeks ago and gone to IC. I can even kill IC sewer bosses with this and I pvped a DK. Normally, I am bad at pvp but I dueled this DK for 5 mins but when he exhausted his resources between rotations, I stunned and nuked him. It was very satisfying and I could easily hold my ground with arcanist's insane self buffs. My only regret is my char is a Breton. I wish I had created this as a nord :))
I love putting random sets together and having it turn into something wicked. Will possibly try this out as i have an arcanist in limbo right now because i do not know what to put on it. Thanks
@@VENOMSURGE pretty fun set to use, still not fully yellowed out. All the debuffs from the skills prior to bashing def increases bash. I’m just having a bit of trouble with stamina sustain. I’m workin on that. I am also using this build in BGs, survivability is good until you get jumped by 4+ enemies at once. Overall fun set - will fully yellow - and keep. Thanks :)
The new class is Dwarven Mechanist In PVE they build robots and go pew pew In PVP (or PVDoor) they build teleport pads that teleports enemy players with high resist back to their starting points stuck in a pile of pudding. The player has to click support -> unstuck or send a mail to the mechanist and beg for forgiveness.
I was using the Lady mundus, and vampire would work with the undeath passive to be more survivable. You will just have more expensive skills, which I found to be hindering my playstyle. But if vamp works for you then have at it! :)
Block mitigation is capped at 90%, Tidel chakram is capped at 13k shields but heals for 13k every 1sec if you have the full shield and used 3crux. in group play every arcanist should use it, On low stam or mag you still get 5k that can crit . Liked your build btw. Id backbar wretched vitaility
On a arcarnist? I run two handed and sword and board on a mag build and I never run out when taking my pots what should be normal in pvp . best sustain class in the game.
You know I'd like to see a no blocking build based around essentially maxing out your help as much as feasibly possible while also giving you a lot of extra HP regen and then playing stage-3 Vamp so that when you are in that 30% threshold for undeath to activate, wilfer most people that would be roughly probably around about like 13k Health at most if they're playing as a tank or more like 5K to maybe 8K or 9k Health left but for you would probably idle matching could get upwards of like 20K to 25K depending on exactly how you make your build to be a literal walking brick of tungsten that instantly heals itself upon taking any serious damage....
Love the build. Very creative. Been playing a frost warden Oakensoul Bash build for a while and will try this one. Considering Order's Wrath as 2nd set, going more for the crit chance/ damage. But VH might be better. I'm thinking I'll add the gap closing 1H skill, because this build looks a little slow, w/o using swift on jewelry. Also, wondering if I could still use the flail and maybe even the beam too? hmmmm. Should be fun. Thank you!
@@VENOMSURGE So far, still leveling the 1H skills, but having some challenge reaching the stats. Gap closer with stun morph is really nice. Toyed around with idea of using Masters S&B, rather than spectral cloak, which heals and gives nice resistance/armor bump. Have looked at sets like Jolting Arms , Trial by Fire, Armor Master, and Iron Flask, which also bump armor significantly as alt for VH. I do like the VH + DD interrupt "synergy". Got one other mythic with which I'm theory crafting that could be absolutely bananas.
@@VENOMSURGE Here are a couple of questions- I can't find a conversion factor for armor to bash damage. And, I don't see my bash damage stat increase on the character view when I increase my armor. Should I expect that?
@swingkid1771 your bash damage should be under your advanced stat sheet, not your main stats. As far as damage conversion, I've not done the exact math of it yet. But I do remember during testing on an older bash build I made I found that at some point it helped to have crit chance instead of the massive amount of armor that I did here. The only downside would be that you would be vulnerable to penetration going under armor cap
That sounds like a pretty good build! I have a bash warden that is amazing in battlegrounds and people never see it coming ha. Did you ever actually make this build and have footage using it on the live server? I would love to see it in action in PVP..
I'm levelling up my Arcanist bash character at the moment. I'm planning to try the Dov-Rha sabatons and the Vampire's Unnatural Movement passive - sprint up invisibly (with the vampire passive), then when I stop sprinting it will trigger the sabatons for a burst of area damage and 13,200 extra armour for 10 seconds. Then when the 10 seconds is up I sprint away for 10 seconds, turning invisible while I get the Dov-Rha stacks back. Not sure if I can use Veiled Heritance, I might need to switch that out for something with more sustain.
What would be the second best bash class after arc? Also I'm on console so bash weaving is harder due to less keybinds. Would spamming bash work good too or is bash weaving the key to this build? Thanks man

you could definitely use drake's with this build. If youre talking about pve then you might want to lower the amount of resists down to the cap since there isn't any penetration you have to worry about, then you could focus more on crit chance or other sources of damage done. Malacath should work since its a source of damage done, I'd be surprised if otherwise :)

I run drake's rush on my Necro bash build currently and it's excellent for ball groups and 4 man's because I can be the tanky distraction and I can team with bombers and increase the frequency of their ultimate drop. Plus major heroism is OP on Necro bash cause that pummeling Goliath hurts
Can this still be done in this update? Returning player, I don't have Arcanist (because I dislike the vibe/aesthetic). Can this be done on templar preferably, or DK? What are your thoughts.
Why would you use sithis on a bash build? Yeah the armor but you have 0 mitigation not 95 because your block is compromised. Try malacath and it should improve your dps significantly
@VENOMSURGE I've got mine leveled for the most part, but I can't perfectly follow yet. Don't have the dual wield yet, or the mythic so I'm using a full lord warden. Do you have any suggestions for a potential replacement for the BRP Dual Wield or Psijic ability? I just can not be asked to level psijic a third time and i will eventually get the BRP dualies
the main use for the psijic ability is to regain your resources, so you'll just have to keep that in mind and watch your resource pools. I'd replace it with Zena's empowering disc so you can get the minor recoveries to at least help balance it out. The BRP was for the 6% damage done, which we can replace with the Cephilarch's flail or you could use a resto staff and get combat prayer for the minor berserk. hope this helps :)
youd be doing a good amount of bash damage to the targets, but it really isnt good for endgame pve as the armor cap is only 32-33k. The only reason i went much higher is becz in pvp the enemies have penetration and youre more likely to have major/minor breach. for the average dungeon run it would be fine tho, just make sure to do your tanking role :)
High elf won't change your performance to a large degree. The only loss is you'd have about 2k less Resistances which will reduce your bash damage by a bit. The extra mag would help tho with using your heals
if you have access to vateshran, you could use that sword/shield to pull in the enemies and apply major maim. another good option for base content is using one piece of armor of the trainee. You may have to swap around some of the location of the other sets but that would give you a good amount of extra health :)
Yes it would, I chose to use Sithis over that or Malacath because I wanted to also have the extra health along with the build, and I aimed the setup more towards pvp. If you're doing it for pve then you'd want to lower the resists closer to cap and try to get more crit chance/dmg :)
It would help get major vulnerabiltiy on the enemy, however the damage is based on your max health for that set which we do not have a massive amount of. You'd be better off using something that scales off of armor if you want another set that procs damage :)
Thats difficult because of the vast utility a lot of the skills have. I'd say you for sure want runic sunder so you can get crux built up and the additional non-named armor steal. Probably the Lucid Mind ward so you have good survivability. a skill that would give minor resolve (runeguard of freedom gives minor protection with minor resolve but oakensoul already has minor protection), pierce armor, and power bash so you can still burst down the enemy. Or you could drop power bash, get something that has more healing and spam bash instead.
these tips will always apply to all bash builds, no matter the class: always focus as much resists as you can as that is the way you increase your bash damage. Bash CAN crit so you can do a crit build for your bash (but they might be wearing impen armor). The power bash skill scales on both armor and wpn dmg if you are trying to use it. Ideally try to bash attack weave: bash, light attack, skill, repeat, this should all have about equal timing inbetween each phase. Anything that says it increases your damage done (such as berserk, malacath ring, BRP duel wield, vulnerability, brittle, etc) will also increase your bash dmg. if you're a necro obiously use the pummeling goliath to really output bash dmg. you'll also want to focus penetration/breach so your bash goes through more armor. lastly watch your resource pools as bashing is a heavy drain on stam. hope this helps :)
The resists are capped at ~32.8k, but in PVP people run penetration and major/minor breach, so they can easily negate 10-20k armor. so by running almost 50k armor you are guaranteed to still be at cap. Usually its overkill but in this case, the build wants more bash damage which is based on armor :)
I'd imagine that is probably where this shines the most (besides duels). It really helps to get your debuffs on the enemies so your bash can really sink in. Zergs in cyrodiil would be difficult as you dont have many AOE's and you are not super mobile
What about puncturing remedy on the second bar? Heal and resistence and you can free a skill for healing. Plus with a shield reinforced no need defending on the second mace, using sharpened u have more penetration and using heroic slash on the second bar.
Why do you feel that this build would detour ppl from pvp? Just asking as a person that has been playing pvp since the game came out. In my opinion, this is a rare build. Probably does well for duels and bgs but not so sure how it would fair in a 1vx situation.
@@adameousgrinn2376 Because 1vx = lots of heal and tanky. Nobody wants to play vs tanky healers. You avoid them as well if u have any brain cells. When u get in real 1 v 1 with that build you literally cant finish fight. If all ppl played builds like that pvp would be sweaty healing fest. Bash is unique and fun and all that but it kills game in this form where u stack heal, sustain and def to get more dmg. Game allows that but it shouldnt coz it kills game.
@@adameousgrinn2376 let me give u one more broader answer. If your build cant win 1 v 1 fights vs real pvpers that know how to play and u end up healing to infinity u failed to make a build. Just delete that build and start over. Its a great build but it makes game annoying for others.
@newfaith912 I think you are mistaking. The people that would build this is someone like me, someone that does not pvp, you only see me in cyrodiil to get event tickets or in bg once a day to get the xp bouns. Meaning the zone would still appear totally empty. Real pvp's wouid not like this anyway. I'm sure that my 7 minutes in a bg every day as a healer does not make people flee, pvp most of the time the team Im on gets in 2nd. Should I go in with a setup that let you gank me over and over? well in that case I would just never join any pvp/zone/event ever.

First off, i was just trying to show how bash scales and I didnt want the proc from the set to add additional numbers to the boss when bashing. So i took it off just so the damage shown was my bash (yes it is not the total bash damage) then I presented the damage with and without major/minor resolve. Hope this helps :)
jolting would work too, but you would have overall less damage on your bashes as it only applies to one bash and its once every 6 seconds. you would be doing 3500 extra dmg to only one person, that is about 580 dps to that one person and no buff to dps on anyone else. Veiled Heritance will allow you to gain 516 dps over 15 seconds, which is 7740 total damage on one (or multiple) person(s), which also doesnt have a cooldown
Relying on a build to carry u is rarely a good idea. There is a learning curve, but a bash-weave tanky dps is very viable. I frequently 1vx with mine. Diff build, but same basic idea. U meed to practice more with it, or maybe use a build that better fits your play style :)
