Archbishop Miller Returns from the Synod in Rome 

I wonder at the Synod, did they ever reflect on what Jesus wants for the Catholic Church?

A synod consists of bishops only, not the laity.

Excuse me your excellency, but Vatican II was an ecumenical council - not a synod. A synod makes recommendations while an ecumenical council promulgates doctrine.

That was a vapid conversation. The Bishop was mostly in awe of the technology. The church is already inclusive welcoming everyone yet people choose not to participate because too much is expected of our fallen natures. People need to learn to enter into the scriptures deeply and not look to change them. Yes women need to be more involved. They need to spend time with the scriptures and also actively engage their children to do so as well. From there will flow a more Christlike humanity.

Thank you Jesus finally you have this Father to explain about the synod.. How important it is to be silent to listen and to contemplate. You are so humble .

The Archbishop almost succeeds in appearing serious.

Thank you for sharing your own perspective. The dialogue process allows all to share their thoughts. Very different to what most laity encounter which is HIPPO (Highest Paid Persons’ Opinion) who dominate and discount other voices.

Humans shouldn't play with God's book, specifically priests. You've got to do a better job for selection of priests & Bishops

Invite sinners who want to repent, not sinners that embrace their sins. The latter have chosen, and only God and evangelization can save them.

I hope that Archbishop Miller will come to the Archdiocese of New York. I would like to see him preach St. Patrick's Cathedral (Midtown Manhattan), Church of St. Vincent Ferrer (Manhattan), St. Joseph Church (Yorkville, Manhattan), and Church of St. Ignatius Loyola (New York City).
