If the synod goes against the teaching of Christ then the Holy Spirit is not guiding the synod. The act of homosexuality is sinful, no women priests or deacons, no receiving the blessed sacrament if not in a state of grace. The synod should concern itself with identifying freemasons in the Vatican, active homosexual clergy, and crooks attacking the Vatican bank. The catholic faith will survive.
Romans CHAPTERS 1 AND 2 need to be studied VERY CAREFULLY by the SYNODALITY crew. The RCC HIERARCHY needs to defend the truth as contained in the HOLY BIBLE
Amen. An overwhelming truth is that the only places where the Church is growing is in Africa, and in traditionalist parishes in the West that still offer the Tridentine rite. A Church that does not recognise this fails to read the "signs of the times", is not guided by the Holy Spirit. As Bishop Barron has often said, people are evangelised by beauty, and there is nothing beautiful in whitewashed walls, movable altars on wheels, rushed liturgies kept as simple and short as possible, and ponderous homilies about social justice issues and the environment relentlessly. People YEARN for a connection to the transcendent and God, and they are not finding this in a Church which has been constantly consuming itself in trying to lower itself to the depraved level of the secular culture. Instead, the Church should be the thing that the culture rises up to meet.
Only watched half of this as I could not cope with any more. Such praise for Fr Timothy Radcliffe without any comment about his history tells you a lot about the speaker. It would be interesting to hear from any Catholic Bishop from England or Wales to try to deal with all the criticism of the synod. I guess this is asking too much as all we hear from them is positive comments when it seems very clear, that the eventual aim is to change church doctrine. Very sad!

This interview comes across as a white washing of the deeply problematic and troubling direction of the synod. As such, it is very disingenuous. Thankfully, judging by the comments, Catholics have rejected this poison. Extraordinary to hear Fr Jan moaning about his long Roman vacation and four hour lunch breaks! What's worse is that we have to pay for it all!
The senses fidelium that I know from reading about church history, reading sacred scripture and studying the Tradition as found in the catechism, the Councils of the Church, reading the lives of the saints and speaking with holy people I personally know tells me that: homosexual individuals can be blessed but partnerships cannot be blessed as that would be sacrilegious. Also women cannot be ordained Deacons or Priests or Bishops. And the Holy Spirit’s will for the Church can never contradict what he has already spoken in the past. Tradition can be more deeply understood but not contradicted. My educated opinion is that this “Synod” is the most politically manipulated event in the history of the Vatican. It has no authority in the life of the Church. One does not get the voice of the Holy Spirit from a group of people in which the majority is know for being dissenters from Catholic teaching and/or extremely confused about it.

In my opinion, what we see today is simply the Body of Christ healing and returning to a point of equilibrium, which is found in the Mass of the Ages and traditional cultural and societal values. Now we should still have all these discussions about how to help people from all walks of life, including people with same sex attraction, worship the Lord rightly, and become full members of the Church by participation in the Sacraments. But this should never EVER involve weakening even a single iota of Church teaching. If anything we need a pope to declare this Ex Cathedra and have it added to Canon Law as an irremovable point.
In fact, the Holy Father insisting that we only do things the way he and his modernist friends suggest (of whom Theodore McCarrick was a close friend), is the greatest example of his oft-maligned "Clericalism". Here the people have spoken. I ask that we have a true and impartial "synodal process" to find out what people want for the Church, and not something carefully orchestrated and manipulated, with the individual responses hidden away from prying eyes before the (possibly pre-written) papers were presented. If I'm wrong in my suspicion ... why is there no obvious evidence contrary to it? Why is everything so SECRETIVE with this papacy? Why, in a process where we should have all been listened to, can we not see the responses and how they fed into the final document from each Diocese and Country? The Church will heal. The gates of hell will not prevail. But we are in for a tough couple of hundred years, just like the Avignon nonsense, as the Holy See has once again been seized by those that want to use it for their own nefarious ends.
This whole Synod makes me sick to my stomach. It’s ONLY for Bishops!!!! No other!!!!! No changing ANYTHING!!! No “moving with the times”. The Pope needs our Prayers. Wolves dressed as Sheep! As our Blessed Lord said ONLY his sheep will know His voice. When the Holy Spirit is within you, you know✝️🙏❤️
