At 2.9 it was almost save to assume that you need 10 to celestial per sail. I did a lot of sail regrading and after celestial it was almost always 50% chance but if you only do 10 at a time it's not enough to get reliable numbers. You could end up with 3 legendarys or not even one epic...
welcome to archeage man, i used to play that game about a year ago and spend several times over 2k gold to regrade my gear to divine only to break. And guess what? A random kid could just regrade to divine /epic without any fails without any charms. That game could have been SOOO fucking good if the RNG wasn't as bad as it is. And the differences between grades was not that high, it makes it fucking stupid. Imo best grade and worst grade should have maximum x2 stats difference not the way it is right now. That would have made the game much more skill based rather than gear based.
I dont disagree.. we also hate it.. its frustrating and makes us want to throw the keyboard across the room.. however.. the OTHER side of the coin is... there has to be SOMETHING to slow people down from maxing their gear out.. or everyone would be maxxed inside of a month... everything to make obsidian is obtainable one way or another by solo players... even if you need to buy it off the Auction house... for example i'm working on my T6 Two hander... just bought the Kraken Ink sack off the AH.. 550 gold.. never even had to fight the kraken... also makes accomplishments FEEL more accomplished.. but I digress..
This is the game that has a huge potential, but because of greedy management it will fail for a second time. Lots of people wanted to get a second try on 3.0 me included, but they did it again. It is not the RNG that is the problem, it is the difference between different levels of gear. A guy in a medium gear can not do any damage to the top gear, non so ever. In other words if you spend enough money you can get the top gear and fight alone entire guild :) This game is Pay to WIn, I know that you can get all the stuff as a free player, but that is only one paper. The amount of time needed to get all of your gear max out is crazy and is no fun. EU server started to lose players, and it will not be long until this become Massive Multiplayer that has 5 players per server :)
I played GW2 for some time and even if all the gear there is the same stats I was doing OK even in 1v5. In ArchAge you just need gear do not need skill, that is you need to pay in order to win. Difference between the lowest and highest gear is way to big, according to this video over 50%.
I actually don't have that much gold.. i raise ships (see the other videos)...Farm alot of stuff... Stone / Bricks etc.. and sell it...i can do about 500 - 600g a day.. its not fantastic
got my 1st Legendary on a yolo .. but yeah.. the general consensus is to upgrade all to Celestial and then try for divine and so on... however the purpose of the video was to show the contrast between the two
