I'll come clean, i don't play this game nor will i ever play this game. I am only here because someone in my friend's city booked a flight ticket across the country TO GO AND KILL SOMEONE HE WAS RIVALS WITH ON THIS GAME!. He snuck into the guys house and brutally assaulted him with a fucking HAMMER to his HEAD, his dad heard screams for help and ran upstairs. Long story short the victim is in the hospital for severe but non-life-threatening head wounds and the guy is being held in jail on attempted murder and burglary charges. The real burning question i have is. This game have new player gifts and login bonuses? cause if they out here KILLING!? might give it a shot 👀
Everyone knows AA is better on the private servers. Another great game that was mismanaged by greedy publishers, and done more justice by private communities.

As of June 27th, 2024 (yesterday), the game is no longer supported in NA and EU. Never heard of it, but would have tried it, sad that I'm just hearing about it now.
private servers have more players than "original" archeage. And not just both in summary, but in 1-1 vs original too. Newer patch versions have many problems and "old" server has no competition/long term goals. WHy should you join to the server where most of players already reached "the end" and 1hit you in "PvP"?
@@mattpascual5061 That two "Big" private servers are fine servers. ArcheRage is older and it has minor p2w elements. Classic is not p2w and its "young" server. It has good, active population. Both servers use "single account" policy and accelerated resource generation (more labors, more honors, more vocations). No alt accounts. Cheating (alts, RMT) is forbidden. I vote to AAC :)

I loved this game with a passion. Greed ruined the game that could of been the world's BEST mmorpg ever made. It was all over Korea, USA, Canada, UK, Japan, Russia! It was literally dominating the market by a LONG shot. But man those greedy mfkers just destroyed it!!!

Yeah it is pay to win what people don't realize is that even if you do pay to win you never really win because all of the main drops as far as gear and weapon goes are from the😮 main events throughout the world in the game so yeah you can pay to win but you'll never really be strong and have the optimal weapons if you don't participate in world events and boss world battles and you can't get and you can't get epic and rare gear on the market
It was announced today they will be closing down on June 27th 2024, so long Archeage you were a pretty damn good game, with a horrible group of people running you.
I have such bitter feelings towards this game that I don’t even have interest in AA2. What’s to make anyone think that AA2 isn’t just a more elaborate fresh start server.
Honestly ArcheAge had its time, game was great and honestly very unique but too many bad decisions lead to its death. Only a matter of time before its true end is on the horizon

This game was amazing at one point. One of the Best mmos ever created. Haven’t played in nearly a decade though. Shame what they did to this wonderful game.
I will start by saying that as someone who has played MMo heavily since they were invented Archeage is the best overall MMO ever made with the big caveats imaginable, its by far the best combat system but the game was designed from the ground up to milk for money with heavy pay to win systems, even when Gamego tried to remove it all, they failed as you would have to remake the whole game. The labor system is actualy really fun/interesting until you realize you can just make 5 accounts and make it pointless, and even then you loose because the game to into daily simulator and suck up your entire life. If Archeage 2 cant fix the required multiaccounting and the p2w systems then the game is dead before it starts
AA was so good before it changed to pay to win, i still remember ppl fighting for lands, not enough place for players, there are SO many illegal trees just for thunderstruck log, making huge party fishing marlins, being chase by pirates etc etc etc....
I used to play this quite a bit. I played tons of MMO's for their combat and questing. I ended up playing Archeage as a farming sim. Setting up farms and taking my crops to other areas in my cart was pretty soothing most of the time.
AA has been in maintenance mode since Kakao took over pretty much, all they do is keep releasing recurring events and do some bug fixes, that's it. Im not sure when was the last time the game even got a proper new content update. The game is down to one server per region at this point, that should tell you all you need to know about the state of the game and its playerbase
to be honest , i think most AA player want is original AA with better LP system and not AA2. Start playing AA at 2014 , I drop AA when they start to force player to PVP for hiram gears at 4.0 while turn old gears into trash to feed hiram gears. Around 2018 Later when i come back to transfer my accounts to kakao games , idk what the f**k they did to AA that make the game so lag and unplayable (even though my PC is much better than my old PC that build around 2012) I have zero expectation about AA2 , if XL games can't make a good AA then no way they can make a good AA2 . I don't want to wash time and money again for any game come from XL games.
They lost me when they stole the credits they gave me to make up for the items they stole when Kakao took over for Gameigo. Never playing Kakao again. Enjoying Palia and my Playstation subscription. I had 5 active accounts with monthly subscriptions and they never saw another penny from me.
It seems their idea of content these days is making more furniture props in the cash shop and redoing the PVP instances over and over again. I believe they haven't talked of shutting down the servers because it would be bad optics so close to the sequel releasing. But what do I know I am just a gamer.
I still think AA early access was the peak time for AA LMAO. But tbh they need instanced player farms cause yeah, it was kind of unfair that us closed beta testers were able to get all the best spots before the release of the game to the public lmao. Oh and they p2w was also ridiculous. They just had to change those things and I think the game would've been 100x better. Combat and class system was so unique and nice too damn
Been some MMOs out there that had TONS of people still playing, and end up being shut down. (DFO and CoH comes to mind) People loving the games, hating the publisher for shutting them down. Meanwhile Archeage continues to run, as it bleeds playerbase, yet it still is up. I know the reason, Archeage has microtransactions and P2W. Milking what whales are left. Caters to players lording their power and money over others. Do those players still have fun? Are there any players left who aren't powerful? The gear disparity, spending a year to get to 16k, only to be absolutely devestated still by players who just have way more time, and hardly even scratch their health. I loved the PvP elements, just not how hard it is to get gear and how much it made a difference. Archeage was a technical marvel for how it handled so many players 100v100v25 along with each person having a mount, a battle pet AND a vehicle out at the same time. I just wish it wasn't run into the ground...
Ive played AA few years 5 years ago and it was great game , sadly TRION was too greedy. Anyways i have one of the best memories from the game and people i met in my life R.I.P AA 2024.

For someone who has played ArcheAge for more than 8 years (and is still playing it) it is really heartbreaking to see the game in it's current state, what once was a thriving MMORPG has now become a shadow of itself, even with just 1 server left where both Unchained and Legacy players play on it is hard to keep the fun and content intact, the game has massive potential but the developers don't really listen to the community for changes we all wish for to make the game better
Yeah, I was in the alpha and beta and it was wonderful; made great friends, had great times-thought I'd be playing forever. And then once it released, it just kind of. Well. I dunno exactly 'who is to blame' but it just... went to shite. And all my friends left, and things really....... meh. I've tried a private server/version before a couple times, but always ended up uninstalling it because it's just not the same without my friends.
Forewarning, i wrote a novel here. The game was meant to be player driven. They did listen to the community. They listened to the pvp idiots who ruined the game. PVP idiots didn't want to participate in all of the game and only pvp. PVP idiots were the loudest in whining and complaining, and they kept constantly ruining the game at every turn. I am surprised AA lasted this long. Some moments of AA history PVP idiots ruin the game, there are many but these are some of the major ones. 1. Labor pot removal. Was to stop whales from gaining an advantage, but it made trihard no lifers become multi patron accounts that no one can keep up with. PVPers just wanted stop progression from labour users, because they didn't want to use labour at all. 2. Legacy server whining. PVPers hated that they couldn't get an unfair advantage unless they actually did more than pvp, and whined so hard, p2w through cash shop came back. 3. Streamline gear progression. PVPers wanted this, and suddenly the player base shrunk by half. What is the point of crafting and most of the economy if literally half the game is obsolete. Crafting, farming, and trade was half the game. Now there is no easy targets for PVPers to pick on, and they sit there at docks, trade in's, and zone entries just complaining that nobody is coming, and when a whale comes by, they complain that the game is p2w. AA was an amazing game, but they choose to focus and listen to pvp idiots who made the game shit. They should have introduced instanced housing zones. Allow anyone to farm and craft. Allow guilds and communities to form towns. The castle system is fking stupid, but they could have elevated the awards from it, so that it still had a major advantage over instanced housing zones. Make growing things at castles 5x faster, generate more material, and cost less taxes. They should have removed labor entirely, and let players do crafting/farming/trading freely. This was a stupid time gate, and incentivized p2w. Let the market flood with materials. Let players do trade runs regularly. This would make players feel more comfortable to do pvp content during trade runs, if they don't feel like their going to lose a ton of time and progression. Trade packs should not have been 70/30. It should have been optional certificate types. Pick one that is 15/85, but more expensive cert. Using a 90/10 cert would mean the cert is super cheap, but you would risk everything. That would allow the player to choose which one their willing to go for. A proper risk vs reward that is fair and actually player controlled by the risk taker. There is simply just too much risk for the risk taker at 70/30. I know too many ppl who quit the game after losing a trade ship. That is days to weeks of work and progress. They should have removed the 50% move speed. There shouldn't be any slow, and only 20% if you stole it if anything. They should have allowed honor trade for special crafting and farming materials that are required for gear progression and other types of crafting. This would give PVPers a reward and allow them to naturally interreact with non pvpers and the economy without actually having to farm, craft, or do trade runs. These are not new ideas, these were the good ideas i've heard and seen people say that were entirely ignored, because pvp idiots think they know better. PVPers just wanted unfair advantage not actual game balance.
As an endgame player of the game that quit like a year ago becouse of how bad it had gotten, and no it is NOT ,definitely NOT becouse of low population, the population is not where the problems is, is the way the game is ment to be played which is = 1 million % based on full pvp, there is absolutely NOTHING out of the open world stuff that you have to do in the game that is not based on pvp. Most of the daily things that you have to do, 90% of them are where the problem is, and that is cause of pvp. Everything you have to do is challenged, everything, there is no where for you to go and not have to fight for your life and most of the time lose and im end game player with end game gear, im strong as fk and im telling you, there is absolutely NOTHING that you can do becouse the game is based on PURE EVIL FORM OF PVP ! Every map u have to visit to do your daily shit is met with the enemy , for they do not want you to complete anything, they want you to be permanently ungeared and weak so that they can control the entire game and i mean the entire game from one side to the either. THey come after you even inside the cities where you ware suppoused to be protected, to be safe, no your not, thei will get in in many ways and you get dead permanently ! I'm not kidding !!! I did not quit the game becouse we ware like 20 people left in the entire faction , i left it becouse it was always unfair. The opposite faction had 100 daily active players and we ware barely 20 and the game does not allow you to switch factions towards the one that has more population, and those that had bigger population did not want to come to the loseing side becouse they saw themselfs what they ware doing every single day . They had all castles, they had all players, they had ALT characters as spys to constantly check all the locations to see if we ever go there so that they can come and kill you at any time of day or night, they had the most addicted to pvp and most actives player that ware permanently active at all times to keep an eye on the enemy faction so that they can go kill us. Yes, they ware all in the same guild active non stop and whenever it was event time they knew where to go and they had spys everywhere alse for when there was no event so that if we went there to delieve supplies for money they would see us pass through there and known where we are going and they would come in minutes to us and kill us and take our suplies. MMOBYTE you do not understand this games actual problems at all ! As someone who spent tousens of hours , got the gear, the houses, the money, everything ...im telling you i reached end game and my situation was beyond horrible, beyond acceptable, it was pure evil ! I even moved to an AREA where i had the advantage to be able to atack while they cannot , but they ware never just 1/2 , they ware always over 20 just geared as me and even more gear cause of HERO cloaks, i had mine, but i was just, they had 5 and other 15 non heros on top of that and that was just becouse of me and my family, the only active familie with end game gear, the only strong family on the server from our faction! THe enemy faction was permited becouse of the players beeing part of the game employs and they allowed players transfers from other worlds to come to their faction and increase their faction and leaveing our faction extremely outnumbered! They ware useing exploits, cheats, and they had GAME MASTERS on their side who take care of any complains from us to not reach the brass to look in to the situation. I'm telling you , the game is far to based on PVP to be worth playing. It has such a potential to greateness but becouse it is all of based on non stop pvp, FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR MORE BASED on pvp then alll the games ever invented in the entire world. TO not be able to farm a fking ORE mine cause you will get killed, to not be able to cut down a tree cause u will get killed, to not be able to go to the sea cause u will be killed, that is not a game you can play when one faction has a COSMIC advantage over your entire faction. IT was so bad that , it was 1 of us gainst 10 of them at all times. Even if i get to kill 2/3 or 5 by the time of die, i still die cause there are other 5 players who burst in to you and kill you while we lose our chance to fight back cause or abilities go in to CD from killing those first 5 players. THe best player in our faction was able to kill like 10/15 and still die , but he was just full of cheats and exploits himself. I'm telling you, this game is not worth playing becouse is to focused on pvp, u have to pvp for everything, u want to mine shit fight it ! You want to sail and do stuf on the watter, fight for it ! You wanna farm anything, fight for it . THere was nothing that you ware left alone to accomplish without haveing to fight for it ! ! THe game needs SOO MUCH MORE LIMITATION on open world pvp, on the access to the other faction continent, on the protection that cities are suppoused to offer ! U have none of it, u are permnatetly unsafe everywhere ! FK ARCHAGE !!!!
It's sad to see it in such a state, but it was kinda expected. Between the extreme pay to win and wild toxicity of players its not surprising. They should just release source and allow people to freely make their own servers lol
Game closing on 27th June 2024 it wont survive and that now is affirmed I played for ten years and been my escape not now gone to ArcheRage NA its private and good server but this sad has died the milked us bad and treated customers bad so I see this as their way to get rid of it sad to see how these companies treat folks I will miss my maxxed bike off all things that I loved the most.
Honestly AA in better in private server's I'm currently playing with my group of friends in aa-classic and is better than the original ever was and will be. Sadly for companies is more important putting their hands in your pocket than make decent money and make a fair and good MMO. btw fuck the labor system I still hate it to this day.
So playing a game is waste of time, so doing stream for every single game for years is waste of time too, everything depends on the perspective of each individual. Streamers do streams to earn money and play or test the games for a few days or only one day to make the videos to express how thy feel about that game. Players play games that thy enjoy even it is bad or current situation of that game is not so good, for example New World, Aion, Lineage 2, Blade and Soul, even BDO and so many others. At the end, which side of glass you are looking for is important while interpreting a game^^
It looks very old , im sure for 2010 or so it was something but for 2024 ... People have so many better option , i wish devs gives MMO's which people played them for many years and have good memories of them a respectful death , this is the least thing they can do.
At least ArcheAge isn't Rift, that game is doing even worse. If Rift can still be running (and it is, technically), then so can ArcheAge. Whether or not it will be *worth playing* in 2024 or 2025 is a whole different thing. Rift players would WISH for all the "attention" that Archeage is getting from it's developers... the few Rift players that remain, anyway.
The only thing I don't play AA in official server because of subscription with p2w cash shop. If they take out sub pay maybe player from private server going back to play official.

Such a shame, i loved this game. :( And as shit as it is today compared to the old days... if they freshstarted a one last time server... i;d probably give it one last go just for the sake of it being the last death rattle before aa2. xD
