Among many theories about time travelling... There is one theory who said that no matter what happened you cannot change the past. So if you meet yourself exist in the past and try to kill the past self. It will end up failure indefinitely because if you exist in the future, your past exist without fail.
one of the 5 true magics is believed by the fandom to be related to time traveling and changing the future. in my head canon it should be specifically the 4th one
NPs in general are relic wepons/armors/etc. Saber's NP is excalibur...as in the physical sword , not the beam attack in itself. The beam attack is just released when saber calls out her NP's true name
because NPs are a symbol of a servant‘s legend. Emiya doesn‘t have legend and isn‘t known at all in this era, thus he not only doesn‘t have stat boost by popularity like other servants, but he also doesn‘t have a true noble phantasm
But UBW is Archer's Noble Phantasm. He quickly corrects himself: "If a Noble Phantasm is the symbol of a heroic spirit, this Reality Marble is my Noble Phantasm.". It's just that the characters are operating with incomplete knowledge concerning definitions and concepts, so I guess Archer got confused, since UBW isn't a proper physical artifact (that being said, Berserker's God Hand is also a property NP, rather than an item - and Gae Bolg's both attacks are listed as separate NPs, although that may be just for clarity in the stats screen in the VN). UBW is even listed as a Noble Phantasm in the stats screen.
@@roadent217UBW isn’t a noble phantasm no. The VN just claims it is because it’s easier that way. NPs are crystallised myth. Archer has no myth, so it’s impossible to be an NP.

Yeah..Actually his reality marble can project anything as long as it originated from planet Earth. Hence why he can't copy Ea. Since it's the very tool that created the Earth and Heaven when those two things were one and the same.
***** While Excalibur was made from in the "Fairy World" Fairies are still nothing more than the manifestation of the Earth itself, so Excalibur and Avalon are still made of materials found on Earth. It's just the magic and quality behind those two are so high it's practically impossible for Emiya to make except in extremely special circumstances(e.g Fate/Extra Moon Cell giving his powers a boost, or having Avalon lodged inside his body so long that it has figure out how the object ticks) hence why they have A++ and EX respectively. Ea was forged from a falling star before the Earth itself was made so it's 100% impossible for it to be replicate, no loopholes.

elryck94 You mean Archer and Saber, right? Since we all know Archer's true identity, I will mention as simple as possible. Back in Archer's timeline, he and Saber were the victors of the HGW. However, unlike Fate Shirou, he was unable to make Saber happy. Saber never moved on from the past. Archer felt compassion for her, and hoped he could do sth. When he was summoned in this timeline, he had the chance to save her. However, because Shirou was his first priority, and Saber was protecting him, Archer had no choice but to eliminate Saber. He said that, if they were to met again another time (which they did in FGO), he would definitely save her. But now, he had to kill Shirou. Should she stand on his way, he would kill her for sure.
@@sirbedivere5670 Interesting idea but don't get too far fetched. Fate has their own universe, you couldn't say Fate stay night universe and FGO universe is the same. It's completely waaaay different.
ok after watching many UBW scenes on youtube i still dont get why ppl are so hyped up of this skill... Don't get me wrong, it looks cool, but creating and controlling high amount of swords is not something unusual in anime... or is there something to it that im missing?
he's able to recreate any sword in history at the palm of his hands and unlimited blade works makes instant projection possible. If he had infinite amount of mana, he would be undefeated. Even with a finite mana, his skill is amazing for the soul fact that you are fighting in his turf, which is full of swords
I guess it's the whole imagery behind it. A graveyard of swords is like a graveyard of heroes and Archer's misguided view of what a hero is leads to the death of others, further suiting the setting. It's just the whole symbolism that suits Archer so well.

Remember that this Visual Novel came out in 2004, that give us over 10 years of imitations in many different media, mainly in anime and light novels.
Martin Wright and an overcharged weapon is generally stronger than the original but it has 1 use, also archer understands the weapon simply by seeing and knows all its "moves" (9 lives in HF)
