I filmed this! I’m the voice that says something about them dropping their pants at the beginning (my attempt at humor). Anyway, I’m glad this is on RU-vid for the masses! Archers loved playing in Connecticut, especially in Danbury at TK’s Saloon. Nothing Painted Blue and a bunch of other bands played this afternoon as well.
I was there too. I noticed you videotaping and we set up a few trades shortly after. On the VHS you traded me are this and Trumans Water and New Radiant Storm King (also on this channel). Plus Jawbox from UCONN 1990. Anyway, I'm happy you're okay with me posting these on my channel. I'd be interested to see what other video you may have shot from around this time. This is right about the time I discovered the Archers in Chapel Hill. So awesome to see them in Atlanta in early 2020 just prior to the big outbreak. Recently saw Matt with Band of Horses in Birmingham. Hope to catch the full Loaf again someday.
When they can all those dates for COVID they rescheduled a show in Baltimore at the Ottobar. Should of known it was too good to be true. I saw Bachman doing a house show before COVID and he played a bunch of new tunes. Still waiting for them to release the rest of them . What a great band
I wish I could attend this show. I love backyard gigs. It’s also one of their best live shows I’ve ever watched. Icky Mettle is their best album and it’s also one the best 90s album, easily top 50. I love how they stayed indie and never got their way into the mainstream. Long Live Loaf.
I hate that the camera misses the pause and restart in Wrong but god I love that footage of the kids walking by on the street who stopped and danced that the camera person got instead!

AOL played a former high school auditorium in Palo Alto, CA in March, 1995 on a date that storms and flooding cancelled the NHL hockey game 20 miles south. They drove up from LA just in time to step on to the stage. (They were on the cover of CMJ same week)
Thank you so much for uploading this. Incredible show. I am still sad that in 1995 at 'Live at Prahran Town Hall' in Melbourne Australia, I skipped out after 1 tune of their set to see a local band on another stage due to my friends saying the Archers were 'lame'. Stupid peer pressure. I was enjoying it.. I'm hoping I have a copy on VHS of their performance on the Australian music show 'Recovery' from this time, but I probably don't... still going through my old VHS.
Would love to see that Recovery set if you ever find it.... I was at Prahran Town Hall too. I wish I'd know their music better at the time, as I became a lifelong fan from that day on.

If I was at this gig personally I would have left in the first minute and done something other than this lol. Respect the effort but songs are in my opinion very mediocre. God bless USA lol
