Check out how Eddie and the rest of the crew ‪@arizonaarcheryclub6925‬ do a dry fire inspection. It’s very important to go through every part and piece on the bow thoroughly. Often times shops will just do a visual inspection without taking the extra necessary steps to find all damaged parts. Come on in if you feel like you could use a dry fire inspection on your bow.

I recently had my peep sight and D-loop misaligned slightly . So I got annoyed and twisted them to line them up. I put my release on and drew the bow back to check the alignment and my release let go and dry fired my bow. I honestly don't know what happened with the release. My fault yes. I know better. I also don't trust the release anymore. It derailed the string but not the cable string.

That’s crazy? How much resistance can a arrow add I’m wicked pissed ! Just tried to dry fire my bow and the bow string came right off . I was most likely off center of cam due to never using one.

Sounds like it de-railed due to the dry fire. If the string energy isn't being transferred into the arrow then its going back into the strings/cables and bow. Even shooting an arrow that is to light in over all weight can damage your bow. A great rule to follow is making sure your arrow is at least 5 grains of arrow weight per 1 pound of draw weight. Example if you are drawing a 70# bow than your minimum arrow weight is 350 grains in total arrow weight. Hope your bow can be fixed.
